Guest Reviews
- Phoebe (10/5): -
- Janet (10/5): Nan, Mum and 3 Grandchildren - Location close enough for waterfalls walk. Blue iron didn't work
- milena (10/5): -
- abbie (10/5): Brilliant, comfortable stay - Spacious, all the utilities required were available. Lovely and homely property. Very comfortable. Would be great if you had children too! Nothing
- Alison (9/5): - Loved it. Plenty of space. Ideal for family with children. Only thing was the toilet/bathroom was down stairs and being of older generation a sight inconvenience in the middle if the night.
- Marian - Cosmin (10/5): -
- Lloyd (10/5): Outstanding! The view are beautiful. - Beautiful home. Loads to do indoors. Loved the guest book. We only stayed for one night đ
- Linda (10/5): Brilliant - Struggling with cooking otherwise perfect
Location was brilliant did the four waterfalls then the two around the corner
Next day did the national caves and zip world also where they used the waterfall in the Batman film The oven would only work for about 5mins then switch off
- Christine (9/5): Lovely stay at Waterfalls house - Lovely stay at the Waterfalls house.
On arrival there were homemade Welsh cakes, water and coffee and tea making facilities, which was a lovely touch.
Staying in April evenings can be cold and the house was so warm and cosy. We essentially came to visit our family over the Easter weekend. The house was perfect for our two year old granddaughter, stair gates, highchair, books and toys. The kids had fun doing an Easter egg hunt in the large garden and we were lucky with the weather.
The kitchen was large and well equipped for everything we needed and a nice dining area for sitting all together to eat and play games.
There are a few local pubs near by we ate out at The Old White Horse, which was absolutely delicious and just a two minute walk from the house.
The waterfall trails are also a stoneâs throw from the house, beautiful walks and not too far for little legs..
We would really recommend this house to stay and would definitely book again. Downstairs bathroom, but not really an issue.
- Helen (10/5): - Lovely well presented house that was warm and comfortable with lots of personal touches that made is special. Great facilities and perfectly located for our weekend away. Absolutely nothing, it was great but if I had to say anything, please could we have egg cups.
- Rachel (8/5): - Lovely amount of space, we did not use the facilities a great deal as we were at a wedding locally and really only needed somewhere to sleep!
- Stephanie (10/5): -
- Ryan (8/5): Good stay. Perfect for what we needed, would defo stay again - Everything we needed was there. Couple nice pubs down the road too and shops too too far down the road The shower isnât very powerful is prob alt the one downside to the house.
- Kirandeep (7/5): There is upstairs cupboard which is mouldy and the stuff in there smells. - Location is so beautiful đ None but just a suggestion there should be a hand towel for hand cleaning and there should be continental breakfast.
- Valerie (9/5): Lovely, comfortable house, fantastic location. - Lovely, comfortable house. Great garden. Box of toys for the boys a surprise bonus. Hope they have fixed the oven - minor but would have been good if worked.
- Helen (9/5): -
- Lindsey (10/5): Great location. The house felt very homely . The tea and coffee bits were a really sweet touch as well . - It was very homely .
Welsh cakes were a cute touch .
The toys for children were a great idea . Having a wooden frame at the bottom of the beds ! Weâre all tall , so we had to sleep diagonally!
- catherine (8/5): Emplacement idéal pour la balade des 4 cascades. -
- Uzma (7/5): The property was fairly decent but treatment was appalling making I feel very unwelcome - Spacious an a nice garden We were very disappointed with how we were treated when leaving. We had placed dishes in a tub by the sink as we couldnât find any washing-up liquid or sponges in the cupboards. The liquid was in extremely tiny unlabelled refillable bottles, which we didnât recognise. They could have just put out a cheap normal sized bottle to avoid confusion. The sponges had not been put out, as the owners later confirmedâthey had to fetch them from the conservatory.
While we were asked to wash the dishes, which was not a problem, the male was unnecessarily rude and moody. He walked past me without any acknowledgment not even a hello. Even after it became clear the issue was due to their oversight, there was no apology.
Instead, the male claimed wires by the TV had been moved. These were two loose wires that did not even fit the TV and had no impact on its use. The woman then instructed him in front of us to check if the TV was working which felt very belittling. The TV was, of course, fine, and it came across as an unnecessary excuse to find fault. We had cleaned up after ourselves, and everything was left in perfect working order.
After travelling three and a half hours for a family trip with our children, it was a very disheartening way to end our stay.
- Leonie (6/5): Great location but disappointing - It's a spacious house in a great location for exploring the waterfalls area and the Brecon Beacons. My kids particularly loved the toys (of which there were many!). The sofa was really comfy. The house is pretty dated, I can see the owner has tried but it could do with updating. The bathroom, however, is awful and really lets the house down. It was mouldy around the shower screen, behind the taps and the divides between the plastic panels. The plastic walls were pock marked with holes filled in and the bath panel was cracked. I'd be embarrassed if this was my bathroom at home, let alone letting it out to people. Mind that bathroom step too, doesn't matter if you know about it, you'll still kick it! We were only given a teeny tiny bottle of washing up liquid, bit stingy given a normal sized bottle is 69p. We were only given 1.5 toilet rolls, which with four adults and two children wasn't nearly enough for our stay. There were baby gates at the top and bottom of the stairs, which made navigating them difficult, particularly for our elderly family. It would be better to have them on by request rather than all the time.

- Silvia Lodi (9/5): -
- Akber (8/5): Very good -
- Tim (10/5): Exceptional -
- Shmuel (7/5): Good - Good location
Great parking just outside - Toilets were not working properly most of the stay. The owner did try to fix but it took 2 days for it to be fully fixed.
-Bathroom is old and cranky.
- Paul (9/5): Superb -
- Parth (10/5): Great place to stay, perfect for people looking to go on the waterfall hike. - Location, the welsh cakes provided, the garden, the dvd collection. Everything was perfect -
- Sanderson (9/5): Superb -
- Stancu (9/5): A very good joliday home - The location is gorgeus! The house and backyard is child friendly and offers a relaxing place for adults aswell. There are 2 hiking trails near by plus the 15 minutes walk till Dinas Rock. There are 2 pubs near by that can provide adults a nice relaxing time. Nothimg that I can think off.
- Anna (9/5): Beautiful stay - Beautiful and clean lots of space comfy beds lovely touch with a welcome pack. Very homley close to all that I needed. I never had children but if I did they would be happy with the toys and games in the house. The only gripe I had which is only a small point. It would maybe be helpful to have some kind of handrail on the top of the stairs. Somebody with mobility problems would really struggle coming down the stairs.
- Fiona (9/5): Efficient clean and comfortable - Clean well maintained and easy to navigate instructions No upstairs toilet
- Darren (8/5): Very good -
- Shubham (9/5): Superb -
- Anivits (9/5): Superb - Everything including the presentation of the house, the clear instructions from the host, the kitchen that was well stocked with essentials, the garden that provides a good view of the river. The beds were comfy and the rooms were well presented. Very thoughtful. Just a minor thing about the raised entrance to the bathroom where family members banged their foot.

- Kayleigh (7/5): Had a great stay minus the some of the issues - Location and garden were great
Owner quick in trying to resolve issues. Didnât seem as clean as other comments , bathroom especially around bottom of toilet , around joins of the wall and shower. Dusty especially skirtings , cobwebs , crumbs under sofa cushions .
Bottom of oven didnât work , tv cut out every 20-30 minutes .
Bathroom downstairs , stairs down didnât feel safe going down .

Probably ok for a family with children. Also the bathroom is downstairs

- Clive (10/5): The property was perfect for our needs and the owner was very good at communicating and helpful. - The location for our needs was really good. 2 great pubs a very short walk away for evening dinner, but booking ahead is recommended as they are popular. Nearest shop is a short drive away.
House was very comfortable and quiet. We took our own Cafetiere as we were not sure what equipment was in the house. There was good equipment, but glad of our cafetiere.
- Casey (9/5): Superb - Lovely clean house with plenty of room for everyone. The large garden was perfect for morning coffee.
2 great pubs within spitting distance. We couldnât connect to the wifi.
- Francisco (8/5): Very good -

- Julie (10/5): Fabulous Stay At Waterfalls House Melte Avenue - House was fabulous plenty of room there were 6 of us and reasonably priced. beds were comfy extra pillows & blankets in wardrobe. Kids loved the space, the netflix and you tube. Stairgates for the little ones. Good size kitchen & living room. Lots of board games & books for rainy days. The Angel Inn pub and white horse pub a 10 min walk lovely food lovely people and a bistro which did a gorgeous breakfast. A gateway to walk the waterfalls opposite the Angel Inn but also do a right up the hill when you drive out the house drive a couple of miles and you come to The 4 waterfalls walk Brecon Beacons which was fabulous. Chris the host was on hand if needed very nice man. The garden at the house was big for the kids but at the back is table & chairs where you can sit listening to the river which was so relaxing for us. LS fashions in Neath sold wellies which was well needed. I would love to come again one day and stay here was fabulous. N/A

- Laura (9/5): Superb - The welcome pack was a nice touch. The step into the bathroom. I cut my toe on it
- Pru (9/5): Superb - Loads of space and a very comfortable home to stay in. So close to the start of the Four Waterfalls Walk and handy for other lovely spots in the National Park.
Lovely plate of Welsh Cakes from the host. We'd definitely return again to explore the area a bit more. Nothing, it was great.
- Anonymous (10/5): Lovely home, great location - The location of the house is close to all amenities. Lovely pubs close by serving food at a very reasonable price. House was very clean, large, beautiful garden, with a gate at the bottom that overlooks the river. Found a baby hedgehog in the garden that needed rescuing. Chris was very helpful and contacted Heather, who arrived very promptly and took care of the situation. There are lots of board games and books at the property to entertain in bad weather. The hamper contains basics, including Welsh cakes, which was a very nice touch! There are takeaways locally listed at the property, but we ordered through the just eat app.
Overall, it was a great location, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay & would definitely stay at this property again if visiting the area. The only downside was that local shops were convenience stores and were quite expensive. There was no issue for us though, as only stayed for 1 night.
- Lucy (9/5): Great location, well equipped and clean accommodation. Easy check in. - WiFi, Netflix, large garden, well equipped house for a large group or family, just a few minutes on foot to the south end of 4 waterfalls walk. Only 1 bathroom, limited parking.
