Guest Reviews
- Mandy (10/5): Will be definitely visiting again. Was the perfect location and cottage for everything I needed for a short stay to see - The cosy-ness of it and the location was perfect. Could not have asked for a better location. The bed was really comfy and kitchen and bathroom were specious. Nothing, however would have loved 2 nice wine glasses. But would 1000000% come back with or without wine glasses!!
- Mandy (9/5): - We had a lovely stay at Stable cottage. It was centrally located and was clean and cosy inside Ideal for a short break.Sedbergh is a great place to explore the Yorkshire dales and Cumbria.
- Mercedes (10/5): We enjoyed the house and the location very much. - Lovely location. Although small the house was very well equipped and comfortable. Parking is down the street in a paid for public car park. No EV chargers that we could get to work.
- susan (8/5): - Lovely village near a good restaurant. Nice bright bathroom Front door opening onto the road.
- Claire (9/5): Quaint central little cottage! - The location is superb, very cosy, warm and very well equipped. Nothing really

- Sophie (8/5): - Great location. Clean, comfortable and cosy. Ideal for a weekend in sedbergh
- Claire (9/5): - Really cosy and comfortable. Absolutely perfect for 2 people. Slap bang in the centre of Sedbergh close to quite a few excellent pubs with a small supermarket only a few minutes walk away. Parking was easy too. TV reception was poor but we figured out iPlayer and ITVX but it would have been useful to have a few notes on this upon arrival. The poor reception was not unique to the cottage we also encountered same when watching rugby at the pub.
- Olivia (10/5): - Beautiful and cosy little cottage in the heart of town. The host was very kind and helpful , I highly recommend.
- James (10/5): A lovely couple of nights away which my wife and I enjoyed. -
- Clare (8/5): - Great location
- Brian (8/5): The house was ideally situated for a short visit to Sedbergh, and I'd happily stay here again. -
- Sarah (8/5): Great central location. Good communication from the hosts - Great location. Nice and warm. Plenty of utensils, crockery etc. front door was a little draughty and straight out onto main road. The decor is a little old fashioned
- Fairchild (10/5): - Everything it was amazing . It was homely , comfortable , cosy and brilliant value for the money
- Grant (10/5): Fantastic comfortable and homely cottage. - Extremely clean, comfortable and an ideal place to stay for a couple, within 2 minutes walk of all Sedbergh’s attractions. Nothing
- Graham (10/5): -
- Uschi Pryor (8/5): - We enjoyed our stay at Cosy cottage, even though the weather let us down a bit.. The cottage is small but perfectly formed with a well equipped kitchen area and a modern bright bathroom (love the skylight!). The living area has a flame effect heater in the fireplace which was nice to have on a dull and windy afternoon. Would stay again. The main issue was parking, due to double yellow lines outside the house. There is a long stay carpark close by (100 metres), which costs a few pounds a day (we were out most of the day and only paid for a couple of hours each day to park till next morning, as overnight parking was free).
Minor issue : We would have liked a second bedside table and ended up using a small stool found in the wardrobe.
- Jane (9/5): Wonderful, would definitely recommend! - Fab location, lovely little cottage, very clean and cosy. There’s no garden area.
- Zoe (10/5): It was peaceful lovely place and lovely people - It’s so cozy beautiful place There wasn’t nothing we didn’t like
- Caveman59 (9/5): - Comfortable Nothing
- Jackie (9/5): We had a lovely time. This little village is absolutely beautiful. - We really liked this little house , it was very comfortable and had mostly everything you would need , like toaster, microwave, hairdryer . Plenty of cutlery and cookware. Only one thing as I have a dog was no back door or yard. Parking was on the main road down the street but was only a short walk to the cottage
- Nick Wood (8/5): -
- Christopher (9/5): Exactly what I wanted and needed - It was exactly as described, so cannot fault. For my stay was absolutely perfect. It had no faults as such. If I have to be picky, my only comment was as I arrived in the village after shops closed, a point of milk would’ve been really helpful
- Pawinski (10/5): Lovely cottage - A really cosy little cottage. Comfy bed and furniture, with very clean rooms. Very conveniently located. Great value for money for the Dales. Happy with everything.
- Jane (10/5): -
- Ian (8/5): A well presented little cottage situated in the middle of Sedbergh. - A cosy little cottage ideal for one or two people. Well equipped and spotlessly clean. A very short walk to the facilities in the centre of Sedbergh. The weather!
- Ian (8/5): A cosy, centrally located cottage in Sedbergh offering clean and comfortable accommodation - Central location with a lovely setting overlooking the Church. Traffic noise starting at around 6am this morning (Monday).
- Jr (9/5): Excellent place to stay for walking and visiting the Dales - We needed a base for walking and this little cottage was perfect for the 2 of us. Well equipped, immaculately clean and very comfortable. A couple of steps away there's a friendly pub and just around the corner on the main street there are more pubs, a takeaway pizza place and a few shops. Added to that the owners were incredibly kind and flexible when we realised a mix up in our dates. The cottage front door opens onto a very narrow pavement and the main road so probably not suitable for small children as there's no garden or outdoor space. This didn't bother us though. There's no parking outside but there are a couple of pay car parks not far away. We found a free parking space round the corner next to the playing fields.
- Sue (9/5): Superb -
- Charles (8/5): Good for two or two and a baby perhaps. Goo - Location very good if a little noisy when there was traffic which was not that often! Commercial parking 100m away at £7 for 24 hours which was not unreasonable. Good food in the town including breakfast. A very good, relaxing time.
- William (7/5): Good -
- Mike (10/5): Very cosy cottage - A very cosy stay had everything I needed and more , a beautiful location for walking I hope to return soon . Thank you
- Farrand (9/5): Perfect for visiting Farfield mill for a course. - Lovely cottage, very clean, and the bed was comfortable. Parking is a few minutes walk away.
- Christiane (9/5): Well-equipped little cottage in the centre of the village with a friendly host -
- Sam (9/5): Superb - Quaint, quiet, cosy and relaxing.
