- Ryan (2/5): -
- Wayne (7/5): Great location but needs some work - Great location and large property Very steep stairs and the bathroom needed decorating as looked a bit rough. Beds were nice but nice cotton linen would be better and also black out blinds would have been better to give a better sleep.

- Gillian (1/5): book elsewhere if you don’t want your stay ruined - location was about the only decent thing we’re to start upon arrival tried to contact host as was told there was a permit for parking no reply for hours then contacted host regarding the cleanliness of the house upon entering the house stunk of a damp mouldy smell there was chips under the chair in living room eyelashes under the sofa there was a mop bucket full of disgusting brown water left in kitchen the cloth and scourer in the kitchen looked like it had been there for the last 30 + guest the bedding was all mix matched and stunk of just dirt not one of the rooms represent the photos on booking the shower well i wouldn’t bathe a dog in there let alone myself or my children the bath mat has mould all underneath it visible from the top toilet seat moves when you sit on it non of the blind actually shut properly and no curtains the smell from the drains outside were like living next to a sewer . found a. bus ticket from over a month ago under sofa.

- Jessie (2/5): Very poor - Location was perfect for us. Smashed in kitchen window all boarded up. The co2 alarm wasn’t up. The floor in the kitchen is coming up which caused an injury. There was draws broken in the kitchen. The first aid kid had nothing in it. The fridge didn’t work which caused ruin medication. Had to pay for emergency prescription. Marks and holes on walls throughout property. The shower had mould all round it and was broken. The toilet seat was broken. And very poorly cleaned. Dust everywhere. Clothes remaining from other guest. Broken plug sockets. Unreliable front door didn’t feel secure kept getting jammed. It didn’t match the photos that are advertised at all.
More photos to provide if needed
- jane (7/5): good value for money -
- Naomi (10/5): -
- Sophie (4/5): Mixed review - Cheap property, close to tram for travel, local shops
Clear check-in instructions Not clean, dirty pans, old food left in cupboards. Dust throughout, dirty kitchen.
One mattress very thin, could feel all springs.
Bathroom door, front door very stiff to open and close.
- Clair (7/5): Lovely - Just that there is mold in the slower just need cleaning and painting
- Anne (7/5): Overall we enjoyed our stay, nice and spacious. - The bathroom, needs upgrading.
- Wayne (10/5): -
- Deborah (5/5): -
- Smith (8/5): 48 Haig Rd - The space, facilities and the beds. Plenty of wardrobe space Toilet seat needs replacing
Could do with some fans
- Jenny (1/5): Do not book here, the host will not reply to issues raised and I am now in the process of fighting for a full refund. - Nothing at all During my stay, I encountered numerous issues that significantly impacted my experience:
1. The thermostat was broken, making it uncomfortable to maintain a suitable temperature.
2. There was a broken window in the kitchen, which could not be closed, leading to security and weather concerns.
3. The toilet seat was broken, causing inconvenience during daily use. Especially to one of our party who is disabled.
4. There was a noticeable build-up of dirt and dust in the drawers.
5. The pots were not clean, and the utensils were also dirty.
6. The shower was dirty and full of limescale, making it unpleasant to use.
7. The lino on the kitchen window was an eyesore and very unprofessional, and the carpet in the hall way was torn.
8. The floors were black with dirt, and the skirting boards were filthy.
9. The washer had a strong smell of mould, which was unpleasant.
10. The banister had a missing spindle and was not secure, wobbling when used for support.
11. The blinds were broken and stained, allowing people to see in, and there were no curtains in any rooms.
12. The headboards were broken, and a canvas had fallen off the wall and was placed on top of the wardrobe.
13. There was a significant build-up of dirt and dust on all windowsills and behind beds.
14. There were stains on the walls.
15. The loft window was broken.
16. The sofas were unclean with very noticeable stains on.
17. The house throughout smelt like mould and very just overall unpleasant.
These issues were not only inconvenient but also compromised the safety and comfort of our stay. Considering we were informed that a full deep clean of the property would be carried out prior to our arrival by a professional company, the house was in a diabolical state to ever let out as a holiday home/Air BnB.
Regardless of these issues, we have ensured the house has been left in the condition it was in when we arrived and have respected all rules stated on message and on the fridge.
- Lisa (1/5): Never stayed it was too dirty - We couldn't even stay at this property. When we walked into the property it smelled really bad. The full property was very unclean. The floors were sticky and dirty with wrappers on the floor in the Livingroom. There was Lino glued to the Kitchen window and the surfaces were dirty. The headboards were falling off every bed and the sheets in the main bedroom had stains on them, the wardrobe was also falling apart. There was quite a bit of mould in the shower and the skirtings, walls and handrail on the stairs were filthy. There was no way we felt comfortable staying and we ended up having to book into a hotel. I am very disappointed in both the host as they refuse to give me a refund when the property was not as shown in the photos online and we were unable to stay. This has actually put me off using booking.com for future trips
- Amanda (5/5): The location was on a rough area but we didn’t get any trouble , house really big could easily host 8 people or more , e - Very big and spacious lots of rooms Not very clean pillows stained carpets worn and could really do with decorating
- Toni (1/5): We didn’t stay in the property - We didn’t stay over! The place was dirty, mould in the shower, one bed was broken and the full place stank of weed
- Rebecca (5/5): Disappointing but cheep - Good price and owners helpful House is NOT like the photos, broken headboard, marks on walls, blinds missing or broken, mould in bathroom, rooms not laid out like images on line, bedding had a poor smell, stairs unsafe. Comments in guest book have been pointing out issues since November 24 with no action taken.
- Matilda (6/5): For the most part it was all fine cups need checking as the ones we had had tea stains and not washe - Beds made nice and nicely decorated shower was warm and nice layout The keys were hard to use for the front door few dirty cups left upside down in cupboard left car parked by the side of the house and it got broke into and stuff taken
- Bhavani (1/5): Bad -
- Beth (5/5): Passable - Pleasant house size and space was great. Warmed up quickly. Close to see front with a parking pass to use. Stair carpet dangerous, a broken dining chair (reported) with the grill not working a large frying pan is needed. 1 teaspoon in draw, moldy shower and mat. Just needs some TLC of odd snagging issues.
- Footings (1/5): We didn’t stay we left after 5 mins of arriving - Was mattress on the floors , beds was dirty , the place was a run down mess.
- Wilma (8/5): Very good - Liked the central location and that we had plenty of room to spread out. The steep stairs in northern houses but that isn't a fault as they are all the same
- Dan (1/5): Wont be coming back, awful - Nothing The property was not as described on the pictures it was dirty the beds had horrible covers that felt unclean and mismatched the bathroom was dirty with mold on the shower curtain, there was stains on the floor in the front room and the carpet on the stairs was coming away making it extreamly unsafe for my pregnant partner.
- Kerri (3/5): Dreadful - The location was good.
Property was warm The property is badly in need of some TLC. The stair carpet was absolutely terrifying. It wasn’t properly attached and was very dangerous, especially for my elderly mother. One of the rooms smelt so bad that it was impossible to stay in there. The smell was from the bedding. The pillows and duvets were filthy. I don’t think they had ever been laundered. All the bedding throughout was pretty awful. The towels were so threadbare and smelly we decided to go and buy new ones which we took home with us. There was a mouldy bath mat and the shower curtain had seen better days. As I couldn’t sleep in the extra smelly room I slept on a sofa in a sleeping bag. We came home one evening to find there was a leak above the sofa in the sitting room. I contacted the hosts but didn’t get a reply. We all seriously considered going home after the first few hours but decided to stay as we were only there for 2 nights. We bought cleaning products as we wanted to give the kitchen a decent clean. We didn’t use any pans as they were old and dirty, as was the cooker. There was no lid on the bin and there were no curtains. Pretty much the worst place I’ve stayed booked on Bookings.com. Very disappointing.
- Lorraine (3/5): OK - house needs a lot of upgrades, tatty blinds which didnt close properly,bedding/beds not smelling very fresh, dirty rug in living room, ill fitted carpet on stairs.
- Graeme (6/5): Pleasant -
- Truswell (10/5): Excellent - It wasn’t to far from town nice quite street , would definitely use again There was loose carpet on stairs , this did make the stairs a little more of a challenge for myself , and would suggest fixing as I almost fell down the stairs , also I couldn’t find any cleaning things such as hoover or sweeping brush , mop bucket just a little dust pan and brush
- Brenda (10/5): Great place clean n tidy , could of done with bigger frying pan as for big family is needed - Rooms was very big , kitchen was big n had separate dinning room which meant plenty of room Stairs steep not good for mobility problems
- Cath (9/5): Family stay - The house was very comfortable lovely bedrooms bedding lovely and clean free parking for one car nice quiet street . The stair carpet needs fastening down properly the blinds need sorting out
- Kay (9/5): Superb - lovely and warm and great location. Spacious and great host made sure we was OK ect.
- Yaseen (9/5): Superb -
- Alexandra (1/5): Property not as nice as advertised in pictures…. Needs a lot of updating - Size of rooms
Parking permit for one car Whole house needs TLC……
Bathroom - Shower hose thick with black grime, doesn’t appear to have been cleaned in months, despite the cleaner being there when we showed up. Shower is mouldy but they have attempted to cover this up with sealant, shower curtain disgusting, bath mat supplied looked dirty, soap provided was watered down.
Bedrooms - all bedding on arrival was dirty and stained again despite cleaner being there when we arrived. Requested for it to be changed. Bedding and towels could do with a bit of fabric conditioner added to it as it didn’t smell pleasant. Beds lumpy and all in need of replacing.
Blinds in all rooms need replacing, we didn’t attempt to open them in fear they wouldn’t close. Unable to get dressed in bedrooms with light on as no privacy and can see right in. Bathroom didn’t even have a blind. Despite this being mentioned on nearly every review the owners still have not done anything. The blinds are stained and dirty. The wardrobes provided are broken and not safe
Kitchen, lovely size but nothing in it. Draws broken, iron but could not find ironing board. Waste of a big space with many cupboards empty. Utensils provided limited. We didn’t cook but had we wanted to it would have been very difficult. Was given a hand towel from the bathroom to wipe up with. Space next to washing machine which may have housed a tumble dryer or dishwasher at one point. Everything exposed and not nice to look at.
Carpet on stairs is loose, it is dangerous especially if you have small children.
- Kevin (5/5): Not quite as expected... - Proximity to all amenities. Easy access and parking. Uneven flooring, staircase and carpets. Decoration is cosmetic and hides real problems. Blinds don't work in any of the rooms and there are no curtains. This despite other guests making this complaint previously.
- Babatope (8/5): Nice cossy place. - Everything NA
- Rahmathul (7/5): Great location, 1 car parking permit available, great transport service and nice host - The location was spot in the middle of Blackpool pleasure beach and the Blackpool tower, had a permit to park 1 car which was helpful to load and unload your car, if you had more than 1 car there are lots of pay and display parking near by with good walking distance and great price wise, had enough beds to cover upto 9 people even though we were a family of 6,
It was nice and clean with good seatings available a nice small garden to enjoy the weather. The stairs was really scary as it was too small to walk on especially being a physically disabled person and the carpet was not done properly, a very strong paint smell in the house and drainage smell too upstairs in the bathroom and outside garden area. The shower looked unclean and unhygienic I didn't feel comfortable to use it at all and only have 1 toilet in a big house was down side but if you have mobility issues please be careful walking up and down the stairs I had to sleep on.the sofa and only go up if I needed the loo.
- Darren (5/5): Wouldn’t stay again and left early. - The location great and plenty space. WiFi was good. The beds are not comfortable at all and need replaced. Wardrobe was falling apart, stairs are dangerous and need fixed/carpet secured. Mould in shower cubicle. TV remote not working. Blinds all broken, need replaced and curtain or something to block out light. Capet in hallway has been cut. Spar missing on staircase.
- Nicola (4/5): My grandchildren loved it. I, however, us adults did not. - The location although the street was very grim The 8.1 rating is so wrong.
More like a 4.1
The photos look nice however desperately needs a re vamp.
1. No lid on the kitchen bin ( which accumulated flies )
2. The photos showed nice white bedding - we was greeted with mix match , old bedding
3. Was a very fusty/ smoke smell upon arrival
4. The shower had black mould all way around the bottom sealant.
5. Old and tired towels.
6. The stairs carpet was coming away from the step ( half way up the stairs) which was very hazardous.
7. Grubby rug in the longe area.
8. At the side of the washer was lots of bare pipes ( a danger to toddlers )
9. The blinds throughout the house was all broken ( no curtains )
10. Windows where very dirty.
I came to Blackpool with 2 adult daughters and 3 toddlers, they loved it because they don’t know any different, I’m also not posh, but like a certain level of cleanliness.
- Aaron (7/5): Good -
- Pamela (4/5): Disappointed with the standard of property and cleanliness. Terrible smell from the drains. - Good location and free parking. Property has great potential but in need of a revamp. Cleanliness was poor. Bedding and towels very old and mis-matched.
- Jemma (8/5): Very good -
- Rishi (8/5): Very good -
- Hazel (8/5): Very good -
- Jason (9/5): Superb - Very clean and lovely place 10/10 TV remote control didn't work 😔
- Nicola (8/5): Very good -
- Tina (8/5): Very good - Lovely house, good size, good location and clean. Beds very comfortable. Quiet residential area. Good that could park outside with permit supplied. The blinds in every room were broken. No curtains in any bedroom so that combined wiith broken blinds effected privacy. Lack of cleaning products and without useable plug or washing up bowl in kitchen washing up was a challenge. Lack of cooking equipment, no baking trays, tiny frying pan. Coffee machine but no pods
- Matthew (3/5): See review - Good communication from the owner, generally clean, free parking, easy check in The pillows smelt like greasy hair like the cases hadn't been changed, the blinds were half missing making it difficult to sleep due to light, uncomfortable mattresses, dirty bath mat and water didn't get hot for showers
- Lynne1402 (7/5): Great central location. - Fabulous location right in the centre, very spacious accommodation with very comfy beds. Blinds on all windows did not open or close and were all missing a lot of slats, combined with no curtains in any room meant early morning wake ups.
The key lock box is behind a wall at ground level and very hard to get into if you have any mobility issues.
- Nicola (8/5): Very good - Great location, plenty of room, had everything we needed, great value No curtains ans blinds were broke in most rooms but that's being very picky house was great location and we had a brilliant holiday and it was booked at short notice
- Maggie (8/5): family time. - central.homely and well equipped. very spacious, wifi. big shower. the stairs.they are so steep.not suitable for anyone who has difficulties with legs.
- Thomas (10/5): Modern well equipped spacious house - Good location near seafront. Modern well equipped spacious house.
Easy check in and key access.
Great value and decent size rooms.
Stayed with family and it was ideal for few nights.
- Daniel (10/5): Very pleasant - Very clean and tidy great location spacious extra room with 2 extra beds that wasn’t advertised Got nothing bad to say at all
- Joshua (7/5): Pleasant Stay - Spacious & Good Location - Spacious. Good location, close to the Pleasure Beach.
Parking permit available for one car but free street parking on nearby streets available for additional cars.
- Adaghebalu (9/5): Superb - The house was wonderful and clean,
- Sadaf (7/5): Good - Internet connection was good.
The house central heating was good.
The house was big enough for families of 6 or 8.
The beds were comfy.
Parking permit was provided . It could have been cleaner ( spots on bedroom sheets and moldy bathroom mat) . The cooking stuff were not enough ( large pan and sieve ) . A vacuum cleaner is handy if you stay few days.
- Bryony (7/5): Excellent property for the price - Great location and huge property. Great value for money, only a short walk down to the beach and tourist areas which was amazing and parking available right outside the house. Owner leaves clear instructions of how to enter the property and was great with communication. No black out blinds and lamp right outside one room which made it difficult to sleep. Also only one bathroom in the property which may be more challenging for larger groups - we found this difficult with only 3 of us having to share. There is also a slight smell of smoke throughout the house and on certain furniture - had to go out and buy room spray to help with this.
- Lynn (10/5): It was a short stay but we will definitely be back for a longer one. - We had a lovely stay, the property was nice and spacious as there were seven of us counting the kids. Theresa really nothing wrong nice and clean.
- Natasha (10/5): Exceptional - Location was close to sea front, made it accessible, very spacious property, clean and tidy, great for families, would highly recommend
- Isabella (10/5): Exceptional - Absolutely perfect, spacious home for a lovely weekend away in Blackpool. Thank you so much ☺️
- Richard (8/5): enjoyed our stay and would stay there again - The property suited us perfectly, clean and comfortable with a great location.
- Kamran (10/5): Amazing stay for a group of people - Spacious rooms, very amazing facilities and around 10 minute walk to the beach front and arcades Was a few people outside of the property on a night time who knocked on the door
- Amanda (8/5): Very good -
