Guest Reviews
- Carol (10/5): - Pretty cottage in an amazing location close to the harbour in Port Isaac. The cottage was beautifully decorated ,lovely attention to detail , with a welcome basket of. goodies, well equipped kitchen, dishwasher and everything you need . We were visiting at Christmas and there was a lovely tree and decorations. Thank you so much for a fabulous stay, and we will be back! Nothing
- Ning Gong (9/5): Great location, accommodating hosts - A stone away from the harbor, but still quite. Comfortable bed, necessary supplies in the kitchen. But most of all, the hosts are very accommodating with quick responses. Nothing to be disliked. Just be cautious about the steep narrow stairs up to the second level where bedrooms and bedroom are located.
- Mark (9/5): Great! Not so check, but that has got to do with the excellent location! - Beautiful house, incredable location! I would have liked Some kind of coffee machine!
- Louise (9/5): A lovely winter break, warm and cosy and perfectly situated for Nathan Outlaws Fis Restaurant which is why we chose it! - Warm and cosy. Well equipped. Bedrooms very comfortable. The kitchen and equipment was of a high standard Given that it was winter, entry 4pm, and exit 10am times ungenerous.
Minor: No washing up clothes in kitchen on arrival. House keeper did supply later.
Too few toilet rolls, had to scavenge from various cafe toilets!! Didn’t want to buy large packs!
Would have liked control of heating but owner responded promptly.
Although 6 beds, would have been very cramped with just one bathroom.
- Desmond (9/5): Quite unique experience of village-type life. - The property is located in the heart of Port Isaac in a quiet narrow street of white cottages and oozes cottage feel. It comes with everything you need and wifi was veeery welcome with mobile coverage being non-existent. The car is parked at some 15 minute walking distance. On nice days that walk is enjoyable, albeit challenging for less mobile or not so fit people.
- Elizabeth (10/5): Another thoroughly enjoyable family holiday in Port Isaac. - Clean, tidy, location, lots of character. Nothing
- Amy (8/5): Very good - We loved the location & how close it was to the harber.
- Zoe (9/5): Superb - This beautiful quaint cottage situated near the harbour in Port Isaac, is comfortable and well appointed. Everything is supplied: linen, crockery, cutlery, TV, DVD player, books, games, comfy blankets, new oven, cooktop, dishwasher, and washing machine.. The renovated kitchen and tasteful decoration does not detract from the cottage atmosphere. Capable of sleeping 6 across 3 bedrooms, this compact cottage feels roomy.
It's central location is close to pubs, restaurants, cafes and places of interest. A basket of scones with jam and cream greeted us weary travellers on arrival and the owners kept in regular touch by email through Booking.Com. We had a wonderful 5 days and would not hesitate in recommending Blakestone Cottage for any family holiday in this most picturesque Cornish village.
- Martine (7/5): Very nice place but - Quaint cottage in the heart of the village. I’m a frequent traveller to Port Isaac and it was the first time i rented a place where i wasn’t in control of heating. I had to ask the owner to put more heat, but was only allowed to have heating at night. They leave a bunch of wool blanket and i had to use a few to keep me warm. Would rather have heating than blankets…
- Kenneth (10/5): the most endearing cottage in an area steeped in history/engulfed by natures floral bouquets of wildflowers & th - the location - both geographic & historical was fabulous outhouse where washing machine was need to be cleaned up
- Lkch (10/5): Exceptional - Fantastic cottage in an exceptional location in the village! Clean, comfortable, beautifully decorated, and equipped with everything you could possibly need!
- Colin (9/5): enjoyable stay in historic section of Port Isaac - location in the heart of Port Isaac (Wenn) was fantastic steep stairs - can’t be helped as cottage very old
- Brian (9/5): Great base for visiting family near by in St. Teath - Home away from home, right in the town centre Nothing to do with the wonderful cottage but be prepare to walk uphill to car park as there's no parking in town or by the cottage
