• Rachael (8/5): Great location, lovely staff. Cute little double story open air villas. No kids was a bonus - The location is awesome, nestled between Legian and padma streets and shortcuts to both. The look was really homely and the feel was nice. The air con in the bedroom isn’t very cold, lucky they gave you a fan in your villa do that went to the bedroom to make it more comfortable. The bathroom was very small, you can’t use the toilet while someone was in the shower as you’d get wet.

• Kristína (10/5): - We had an absolutely amazing stay at Kaktus Boutique Apartments and honestly could not have asked for better accommodation. Everything was perfectly clean, fresh, beautifully maintained, and fully equipped. One of the biggest advantages was the privacy — each accommodation unit is a separate two-floor villa. On the ground floor there is a fully equipped kitchenette with dishes, filtered drinking water, a refrigerator, and everything needed if you want to cook for yourself. There is also an additional toilet downstairs, which was very convenient. Upstairs is a beautiful bedroom with TV and a second bathroom equipped with a toilet and shower. The air conditioning worked perfectly, making the stay very comfortable. All accommodation units share a swimming pool with sunbeds and umbrellas, but most of the time we had the pool almost completely to ourselves, which made the atmosphere even more relaxing. The service was excellent. The apartment was cleaned daily, always very politely — they either knocked respectfully or, if they saw us by the pool, kindly asked whether we needed cleaning. We always received fresh towels, and they also provided separate pool towels. A few words about the owners as well — we were extremely satisfied with their approach and kindness. They allowed us both an earlier check-in and a later check-out because of our flight schedule, which we truly appreciated. They responded to our messages immediately and were always willing to help with anything we needed. We genuinely felt very welcomed and comfortable here. The best proof of our satisfaction is that we originally booked only 2 nights and ended up extending our stay to an entire week. Also, the owner’s wife was incredibly kind and friendly. When we met her, she happily chatted with us and gave us great recommendations for restaurants and places nearby. If we ever return to Bali, we will definitely stay here again. Highly recommended — 10/10 experience!

• Ya ting (10/5): Clean and comfortable, but the downside is that taxi drivers are often hard to find. - The floor was very clean and tidy; there was no grit under bare feet. The kitchenette was very convenient, and the refrigerator was large enough. Any equipment in the room was replaced immediately. The mattress and pillows were very comfortable. This holiday was both relaxing and a good night's sleep. The location was a quiet alleyway in the middle of the city, which was very convenient. The first night was a bit noisy because some guests were swimming around 2-3 AM, and there were quite a few mosquitoes downstairs.

Le personnel est d’une gentillesse incroyable, toujours disponible, souriant et prêt à aider à tout moment. L’emplacement est idéal, proche de tout, ce qui permet de se déplacer facilement et de profiter pleinement ! La propreté et les équipements sont au top, tout est bien entretenu et confortable. Je recommande cet hôtel les yeux fermés et j’y reviendrai avec grand plaisir !

• Ulrike (9/5): Definitely would come back and book here again! - Super smooth check-in process and the place was prepared early for me to have enough time to shower and unpack before I had a call. The bed was extremely comfortable and the place is very well maintained. It is located in walking distance to the beach and the staff was lovely. Cleaning was impeccable. The only thing I was missing in the kitchen was a pot to make some food (there was a pan, though). First night I had a noisy neighbour but the landlord contacted them the next day asking to please be quiet and from then onwards my stay was very smooth and quiet.

The shower next to the toilet was a surprise but it is a very clean hotel and I wasn’t bothered by this

• Phoebe (10/5): Fantastic little hideaway apartment - 5 star! - This gorgeous little villa was the best place I've ever stayed at in my 20 years of travelling to Bali! It's in the perfect location, walking distance through all the laneways in every direction for quick access to all areas of Legian. The villa was exceptionally clean on arrival and kepted clean by the beautiful Wayan each day. It's fully set up with a small kitchen including a full size fridge/freezer & gas cooktop. The villa is very spacious with the kitchen/lounge open area downstairs and a toilet. Then upstairs has a beautiful big bedroom with a small balcony & toilet/shower. The bed was super comfortable and the pillows too. The pool area was amazing. Very quiet & very clean also. I pretty much had the pool & the sun to myself each day but did meet a couple of other guests there briefly too. There are only 5 villas in total & being adults only it was the perfect place for a mum getaway week for me to relax & wind down. Overall Kaktus Botique apartments is absolutely stunning with the beautiful villas, pool, gardens & staff are all exceptional. I've only been home one day & missing my chats with Wayan already. She is the hardest working lady & such a beautiful soul. I hope to return again in the near future. Highly recommend this villa to anyone seeking a relaxed quiet place to stay away from the hustle & bustle & noise of the streets. There's nothing I didn't like it was all wonderful. But one recommendation - for people checking in late at night or coming in late at night from elsewhere it may help keep the noise of the wooden doors slamming on their entry, if you put some signs up asking them to be quiet & consider other guests sleeping as the doors slamming travel into each villa at night.

Did not like the two level layout - felt like either stuck in your room or downstairs. Things were just not intuitive, like towels in the bedroom instead of in the ensuite. Difficult to find things. Air con worked but could not be sure if the remote actually changed the temperature as it always said 21 degrees so I sweated through every night. Front door code was incorrect which at the time was important as I was in desperate need of the bathroom.

De indeling, gebruik van materialen, stijl, kleuren, positionering van alles. Hier is echt over nagedacht. Je zult hier niets missen. Schoonmaak is geweldig. Zwembad top! Ik kan echt niets noemen wat hier niet goed is. Ik heb op mijn reis nu al diverse appartementen gehad, maar Bali Kaktus is echt compleet uitgerust!

• Lisa (8/5): Absolute Gem - The location was fantastic, close to the main room and quiet enough for sleep . Bedroom upstairs was great with air-conditioning and access to Disney+. I really liked the drying rack on balcony for my washing. Great additional plus was 2nd toilet downstairs. Kitchen facilities were great, although we did not use it during our stay. There was available drinking water also which was great. The owners were very receptive with my questions and able to help wherever possible! Thanks for the great stay in Bali! I am not use to a wet room shower, so was not use to everything in the bathroom getting wet. I would have liked if there was some hooks inside the bathroom to hang your towel or clothes (it is available on the outside of the door). Other than this, everything else was great.

• Jane (9/5): Perfect - Great location, set back down the lane from the busy main road, Jalan Legian. The villas are beautifully decorated and had everything we needed. With only a small number of villas, and being adults only, it was quiet and we pretty much had the pool to ourselves. We ate breakfasts and other meals at some of the great cafes and restaurants nearby and we walked everywhere we wanted to go. Lots of great shopping within a short walk. There's a laundry service right on the doorstep and a small mini mart. The staff were delightful and our rooms were cleaned beautifully each day. I would definitely return for another stay.

The staff could not have been any nicer or accommodating. Set back from the main road so it’s mostly quiet (on nights when the bar next door is closed). Beds were hard, but all Bali beds are, not a dealbreaker.
• cara (10/5): Felt like my own private villa in the heart of Legian. Wonderful staff and gorgeous aesthetics. - It felt like my own private villa. Loved how there are only 5 apartments. My partner and I don't like hotel rooms, they are so restricting. We have different routines so having separate living and sleeping spaces suits us well. Location was really central, easy short walk to the beach, surrounded by restaurants and shopping. The staff were so lovely and had a great eye for detail with cleanliness. They even folded our clothes neatly. Communication with the hosts was easy and they were attentive to our needs. Wonderful place and so cute aesthetically for pictures. Loved it.

The place was SO clean and everyday staff are cleaning in such detail. -Pool was lovely, maybe some lights at night would make it much nicer. -Downstairs was nice that it was open. The rocky area should be filled with water so each apartment has a shallow pond area because other than looking nice it doesn’t have much of a purpose, but still a cool feature. -Upstairs was great, good air con and little balcony to dry clothes on. -Very quiet during the day. -Full size fridge. -Complementary water pump. -Beautiful towels. -Responsive owner. Not much… To be picky the bar next door is loud at night. But closes early so was not an issue when trying to sleep.
• Fawzia (7/5): we realized it would be more trouble to move than stay so we accepted shortcomings and enjoyed it. - the staff Wayan and Ade were amazing. They were pleasant, obliging and very helpful in all ways. Nothing was too much trouble for them to do for us The pool area was good and the apartments were clean, private and quiet. We actually had the best of the 5 apartments and this was Boy doing his very best to accommodate me when I booked. The Manager/ Owner Boy was willing to take on my concerns and offered all he could do to help us get past our concerns and was even willing to help us get our money back when we first thought of moving to another accommodation. The apartments were convenient to lots of places . The stairs were quite steep and even though there was a hand rail against the wall side , there was no hand rail on the other side of the stairs making it feel quite unsafe. We disliked the fact that the shower/ toilet upstairs was a "wet room". This was shown in the pictures of the upstairs but obviously we didn't take notice of that at the time. No toiletries (except hand wash and toilet paper)were supplied as stated. Luckily we always bring our own. It would have been nice to have a tv in the living room as well instead of just in the bedroom. It was quite difficult to operate especially for elderly people (like us) who dont have much technical know how. We were there for the AFL end of season matches and could not watch the games in house and we disliked going to the sports bars. We found it quite tricky when we ordered a Grab taxi, they rarely came to the entrance of the apartments and we would actually have to meet them on the main road. We arrived at the apartments after midnight and we found it challenging to access the keys form the lock boxes. There were 5 apartments but about 10 boxes and we couldn't figure it out. This may have been because we were tired and stressed and we were very lucky to have a driver who spoke good English and helped us to eventually figure it out. Even he had trouble finding the entrance to the apartments .
• Marianne (10/5): Lovely little oasis amongst the hustle and bustle of legian..Gorgeous decor - The short cut through the three brothers hotel.Only about ten minute walk to the beach.Loved the decor little haven away from all the hustle and bustle.Bright rooms. The stairs are steep so no good for people with mobility issues.Only 5 apartments so pool area very small.People smoke around the pool..Would be good to have a handrail on the right hand side when you leave the bedroom.

Quiet, beautifully designed and looked after (guests and property) to incredibly high standards by the staff and owners. There was not a thing to dislike about the property. Wish we stayed longer.

• Alexandrea (9/5): Stylish, boutique accommodation in a great location - What a wonderful little wonderland when you walk through those gorgeous aqua doors! We were met at the door by one of the lovely cleaners by chance, and she helped us obtain our key from the lock box. However, this would still be super easy if she were not there. But all our interactions with the cleaning staff were lovely during our stay. The accommodation was lovely and spacious, the stairs to the bedroom are fairly steep (I don't think I would rebook with my elderly mother for that reason, however we middle-aged women coped fine, lol). The bed was comfortable and the space in the bedroom was great. The location was fantastic, walking in both directions from the property (out the gang to the main road or along the little alleyways to the left led you to everything your would need in this area). We spent a few nights walking down the to beach and back for sunset (see photos). It was a very handy location. The pool was fantastic! We felt like it was our own little oasis as we only encountered two other lots of guests while there and we enjoyed a fair bit of time by the pool in the lovely lounges. The pool had steps down into it which was great for guests our age (if you know, you know) and the water temperature was fantastic. I don't love a wet room for a bathroom. Where everything gets wet when you shower. That is my only negative on this property. Oh and watch your head when utilising the bin, it is under the stairs and I hit my head a couple of times (so the bin got moved once I learnt my lesson, lol)

In dotazione si ha solo un asciugamento a persona (unico per doccia, viso, bidet) e non viene mai cambiato. Le pulizie consistono nel rifare il letto. Costa quanto un albergo per cui a meno che non si intende mangiare in casa tanto vale prendere un bell’albergo
• Nils Johan (10/5): I will return here when next time Bali! - Perfect location . I liked that there was no reception. Own key! Very clean and spacious apartment. Many restaurants nearby for breakfast. Super easy the communication with owner. The only thing is that the bathroom could be bigger. When showering a lot of water around.
• Karen (10/5): Super stay!!! One of those hidden gems in Legian - Loved that this place was so private and spotlessly clean. The bed and pillows were so amazing. Excellent communication with hosts. The pool is so lovely. Would definitely choose this property if available next time we’re in Legian. Nothing to dislike. But a suggestion to perhaps get a couple of coat hooks downstairs and upstairs for towels. Also a couple of comfy outdoor chairs for the terrace area upstairs & move the drying rack downstairs.
• peony (10/5): - 깨끗하고, 예쁘고, 편안한 숙소였습니다. 비치까지 걸어가는데 10분정도로 가까웠었고, 주변에 여러 편의시설들이 가까이 있어 편리했습니다. 직원들은 친절하고 항상 미소로 응대했습니다. 주인은 숙소 이용에 대해 사전안내로 부킹닷컴을 통해 상세하게 알려주었고, 사소한 문제가 생겼을때 빠르게 조치를 해주어서 지내는데 불편함이 없었습니다. 항상 깨끗하고 불편함 없는 숙소로 운영하겠다는 주인의 마인드가 느껴지는 좋은 숙소였고, 다시 온다면 또 이용할거예요. ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜 아쉬운 점이라면 3박을 한거예요. 진작 알았다면 일주일을 보냈을거예요~~~♡

It was perfect for that and the pr - The villa was beautiful and clean and perfect with its location. Close to JL Legian & close to JL Padma. You walk outside and everything is there. There was nothing I could fault. It was well set up for what you need for a short stay. I would recommend this villa for everyone.
