Guest Reviews
- Dimitrios (9/5): -
- Marcela (10/5): Great location , beautiful apartment - The owner arrived on time and let us in Nothing
- Hendriehet (8/5): Luxury apartment in excellent location in heart of Rome - Location close to Vatican and walking distance to Metro (subway) makes easy to get to all tourists spots. The main bedroom faces the intersection of two roads and huge recycling pick up point. The collection of glass 2x per day VERY noisy and wakes you up before 7am. Especially loud if you have windows open.
- Tatiana (10/5): Exceptional - Great appartment , perfect location. Everything is very nice. No one
- Michael (9/5): Great location, kitchen well equipped and very helpful owners - Good location A little noisy early morning but that’s the trade off for a central location
- Caroline (6/5): Lovely apartment, but stressful. - The apartment itself is large & beautiful, and well-equipped. It has air-con in the bedrooms & living room, which was good.
There's an elevator. The location isn't great (obviously I could have seen that before we booked it):
- it's near the Castello & Vatican, which means that it's a long way from everything else: Pantheon, Trevi, Colesseum etc.
- it's on a major road junction, so there is traffic noise, sirens etc. all the time.
- the host/s seemed really disorganised! -
a) it was impossible to figure out when we could arrive. (see photo). Then there was no system for getting the keys: five people ended up involved in this, and it was very stressful (eg, at one point, somebody called me at 3pm and said that we could only arrive at either 5.30pm or 9.30pm).
b) the day after our arrival, the hosts sent a lot of messages that we had to send them photos of our passports: we had no warning of this and most places don't need it. I got a message complaining that I hadn't sent them even after I had done!
c) there were no instructions on how to leave the property: how to leave the keys
d) right at the last minute, it turned out that we had to leave 48 EUR in cash in the apartment for city tax. We had no cash: nobody has cash any more.
The host/s can sort all of those things out. But for us, it was quite stressful: it felt like they had never done this before.
- Lynn (9/5): Superb -
- Can (10/5): Wonderful apartment - Great location to both trevi, vatican and even trastevere.
Host was very helpful and ready to support us in all questions. She was also flexible about check out based on our flights. Thanks for everything. Nothing
- Alexandru (9/5): Big apartment, great location - The position of the apartment is very good. It is very close to the Castle, very close to the Vatican and close to the Ottaviano metro station ~ 12 minutes walk. Also it's close to Piazza Navona ~ 15 minutes walk.
Besides, next to the entrance in the building there's a small restaurant with good food and pretty fast service, a coffee/pastry shop, a Carrefour express across the street in one way and a Gelateria across the street in the other way. There are other 2 Mini markets near by so we felt that we had really close everything we needed.
The apartment itself is really big. You get 2 bedrooms, a living room, a kitchen, 2 small bathrooms (one of them attached to the small bedroom) and 3 balconies. It's a lot of square meters for the money!
There apartment could easily fit 3 adults since there are one double bed and a single bed.
The kitchen comes equipped with everything you would need for cooking, eating and cleaning, including an expresso machine to get your energy for the long walks in Rome.
In the building there's even an elevator to ease your burden with the luggage. The apartment is situated at a big, crowded junction and there's some noise from outside including sirens and a lot of honking.
If you are a person with sleep sensitivity consider using ear plugs (we had a couple of pairs in the room) or look elsewhere.
For us the street noise was OK and it didn't ruin our sleep. The only thing that bothered us was the trash service picking up recycled glass bottles in the morning, but we used it as our morning alarm, getting us up for another day of exploration in the beautiful Rome.
- Veronica (9/5): Superb -
- Nicole (10/5): Amazing appartment - Very spacious, well equipped appartment. Perfectly located to explore Rome on foot. Yes, it is on a main road and can be noisy at night. But you know that beforehand ;)
A great host, everything was great! Can be noisy at night, but that's ok.
- Helen (6/5): Great location, lovely balcony but noisy at night! - Location was excellent near to attractions such as the Vatican and easy links to buses and metro There are several things that need fixing in the apartment, fixtures in the bathrooms and kitchen. The main problem affecting our stay was the noise from the outside. Being at a crossroads, the noise from emergency vehicles and motorbikes was very loud but also, with the recycling just outside, bars and cafes would empty glass into the recycling all through the night so sleep was sometimes impossible, even with earplugs in. To make this apartment truly fantastic, some improvements need to be made to the windows
