• Katrina (10/5): Great Apartment - Excellent apartment in a great location especially if you're visiting the stadium of light for a concert! Had a slight problem with the TV when we arrived but was sorted very quickly!
• Amy (10/5): Good central location. Close to the train station and some good eateries. - Easy to check in and the host was very responsive to any messages we needed to send. Easy to get around to all the main places we needed from the apartment - Stadium, Roker Beach and shops all in easy walking distance. Some simple instructions for the washer dryer would be recommended. It took a bit of trial and error to get our clothes dry.

• Tracey (8/5): Ideal location - The property was very central and was well equipped. Was also a really good size, everything you need for a couple of days. It was hard to find, as there was no clear signage. The sign outside doesn’t mention anything about City Centre Premier Executive apartments.

Very small and one flimsy pillow each. Windows do not open and heating was on when we arrived. The worst night sleep on the small bed.

• Amy (4/5): Fine for a night but needs to be better. - The location was great and the communication regarding check in was clear. There were cleanliness issues. Plates weren’t cleaned properly, the stove top hadn’t been cleaned, there were marks on the carpets and on the walls. No mirrors in the bathroom, the beds were ridiculously small for 2 adults (borderline unsuitable), and the amount of stairs to get up to the apartment was not mentioned at all in the listing - something that is quite important when you’re lugging suitcases and large bags.

• Nadja (10/5): Tolles Appartment in super Lage mitten im schönen Sunderland - Die Lage ist sehr zentral, aber dennoch ruhig. Es gibt zwei Schlafzimmer je mit eigenem Bad und einen schönen großen Wohnbereich. Es war sehr sauber und schön eingerichtet. Der Kontakt war superfreundlich und Checkin sowie Checkout total unproblematisch und einfach.

• Pytsje (9/5): Fijne locatie - Fijne sfeer en goede locatie in stad/metro/stadion. Warm welkom met kerstboom en andere items als koekjes/koffie/etc liggen voor je klaar. Echt een fijn appartement in het centrum van sunderland. Eenvoudig via het openbaar vervoer met de metro te bereiken. Heeft 2 badkamers en 2 slaapkamers. Inlog krijg je op de dag zelf rond 13u, zodat je de toegangscode krijgt voor de deur en sleutelkastje. Goede wifi. Eigenlijk is het heel comfortabel en fijn. Maar om een 10 te geven zou ik graag willen zien dat de bedden breder worden. Er is voldoende ruimte in de kamer, waarom van die smalle 2 persoons bedden? Ik begrijp het echt niet.

• Michelle (10/5): Cosy stay in a central location. - Great central location. The cereal, biscuits and toiletries were a nice touch. The hallway was a little smelly, but didn’t impact the apartment.
• Barbara (7/5): Good facilities, excellent hosts, very central - but with some issues - The flat has almost everything one could want - a well stocked kitchen (the little cereal boxes and biscuits were a very nice touch), comfortable and clean living and dining area, two bedrooms and two showers. It's very central indeed. The hosts were responsive and check in and out was easy. I do make some points below that I think could improve the place but I want to thank the hosts for being very accommodating and helpful. The main issue was a very unpleasant musty smell in the flat and even more strongly in the stairwell. The hosts came out very quickly when I asked about it. They said the smell in the hallway was a dead bird they couldn't reach, and the smell in the flat was because the drains were dry and it would be solved by running both showers. But that unfortunately didn't take the smell away and I noted others have mentioned it in earlier reviews. The extent of the stairs needs more emphasis. I was aware there were stairs but in fact I had to bump a heavy case up SIXTY steps to reach the flat. I am a small woman in my 60s and this was very difficult. I think the number of steps should be made clearer on booking. To be honest, I probably would not have booked it if I had known how many stairs I would have to climb with a case. One is unable to control the heating - you have to ask for this to be done and it means turning up the heating in the whole flat rather than just one room. The hosts agreed to do it though I didn't notice a difference. It would have been good to have control over the temperature. Finally - a small but important point. There is no mirror in the bathroom, which feels weird. The only mirror is on the wardrobe door. So (for example) flossing my teeth was difficult without a bathroom mirror. Again I note other reviewers have made this point. This would be such a small fix!
• robert (10/5): A lovely comfortable relaxing stay. - Great central location. Very well furnished and comfortable. My wife was very pleased with the quality of bedding. Parking could be a little tricky. Fortunately we are ex Sunderland residents and know the situation. All that said the owners did give comprehensive instructions on parking.

Without the great help of the property manager, this would not have been a great trip due to some admin mix ups. However, they were responsive and extremely helpful, and made it a great success. Free tea, coffee, biscuits etc. Really nice apartment overall. The building feels safe and secure.. No excessive noise.. The air conditioning cannot be controlled inside the flat. You have to message the agent to turn it up and down. Quite odd and a tiny bit annoying. I also asked if the AC could be turned off overnight and was told no! Shower cubicles are on the small side. A larger built person would possibly struggle. Windows cannot be opened at all. Hence the constant AC.

With the size of the bedrooms and how much you’re charging I would have expected decent beds. Finishing touches - pencil marks from when lights were placed. Holes in the wall with cable sticking out. Showers kept tripping as well. No way of opening a window to have fresh air. No washing up liquid but sponge and clothes washing pods provided.

• I (10/5): Perfect Getaway - The rooms apartment was easy to get to, located in the city centre, there was access to everything and anything within walking distance. The instructions to get into the house were quite simple. The hosts were friendly and understanding throughout our stay. We found the apartment well cleaned with fresh cleaning cloths and sponges, which I found very hygienic. We truly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend and visit again. The second room had a stuffy smell, nothing to necessarily keep you up all night but still could be less stuffy. The air con/ filter was on all night, causing someone to wake up with a stuffy nose or feeling cold all night. Would prefer if it is put on early in the morning and throughout the day then turned off at night time expecially the ones in the rooms, for the living space, I didn't mind it on all day and night, it kept the living space quiet breezy. I didn’t appreciate the fact that there were no windows at all. I understand why expecially because of its location,safety purposes, but they should definitely consider a way to have a fresh air system later on in the future. Apart from these extremely minor mentions. I really loved the place. The space, the set up and the cleanliness. Perfect!

• Claire (5/5): Not the best! - Nice apartment The apartment was nice however it did not smell nice, like dirty drains! This did spoil the stay! Hard to find as put address as apartment number, therefore we were looking for number 14 building which sent us round in circles! Also advertised with parking but this wasn’t the case and had to pay for car park which was a 9 minute walk away!
