Guest Reviews
- Dale (10/5): we felt so relaxed and pampered - our host was very attentive to our gluten free dietI
- Susan (10/5): I’d book again in a heartbeat! - Gorgeous views. Lively wildlife just around the house. Roomy, beautifully decorated house with so many thoughtful details for guests. Generous, healthy breakfast. Excellent location for short or long hikes. Close to town but tucked into the hills. Welcoming, kind, knowledgeable and super interesting hosts.
- Esther (10/5): -
- Casandra (10/5): -
- Ron (10/5): - Great folks, wonderful settings inside and out, comfortable room and facilities
- David (5/5): If you don't mind getting up early and can sleep through noise, this would be a good place to stay. - Beautiful location, close enough to town and hikes. Host was friendly. By 6-630am there was enough noise from host (including a loud tv/radio) to wake us up every morning. This was extra difficult coming from a more western time zone. The house also allows a lot of sound travel, so if other guests were talking in another room, you can easily hear it. Especially since our room was connected to the shared bathroom, all night toilet flushes, etc could be heard.
- Randall (10/5): Amazing! Comfortable and pleasant - Willamena was an exceptional hostess, kind, friendly and so helpful with directions and ideas for places to go and roads to take. Our bed was comfortable, the room was clean. Breakfast was filling and fresh. You just have to be cautious on the steps up to the home because they are a bit uneven

- Robert (10/5): Amazing!!! - Wilamena and Paul are so nice and they have a beautiful location. There is nothing to not like about this location
- Albert (10/5): The hostess was absolutely terrific! Beautiful location and every morning was an amazing breakfast! - Amazing breakfast!
- Jordan (10/5): - The breakfast was nice, fresh fruit and a muffin each morning. It's a cold breakfast, and very yummy. All things were great, the walls can be heard through, so bring earplugs if you need. Otherwise, the place is fantastic.
- Conrad (3/5): Don’t book it … don’t be fooled by the 9 and 10 rating. There’sa reason they don’t give refunds! - Not much to be honest .. this more of a hostel than a b&b. I don’t know how this property is rated 9’s and 10’s. A 3 is as much I’d give it. Sharing a bathroom with all other guests was ghastly; especially when the bedroom has a thin door separating said bathroom with the main bedroom we had - the thin door also has an inch gap at the base from which you can hear absolutely everything…and I mean everything. No privacy for any party. We lasted 20 minutes and then drove away in horror.
- Peter (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sandy (9/5): Superb - The views were amazing, and the host was very gracious and knowledgeable. She provided my husband with a pack to hold his water and snacks when he went hiking. Continental breakfast was good. I didn't realize it was a shared bathroom. It was not a deal breaker, but I was unprepared for that. The bed frame was very loose.
- Beth (10/5): Incredibly beautiful house and location; can't wait to go back!! - The house is gorgeous and truly lives up to the name - the views are phenomenal! Rooms are very comfortable. Location was very convenient to get into Evergreen, Golden, Denver, etc.; yet, very quiet, peaceful, and serene. Wilhemina is the best host!! She is very accommodating and a wealth of knowledge about the area. Breakfast was wonderful and more than plenty. Instructions on accessing the property were clear and very easy to follow.
- Katharine (10/5): Exceptional - Host is fabulous, lovely accommodations.
- Lori (9/5): Superb -
- Mary (10/5): Exceptional -
- Pete (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kenneth (9/5): Wonderful property and location, our host was exceptional. - For a B&B the breakfast was on the 'slim' side, though very good. The location was superb, on an isolated mountain side with wonderful views. The breakfast could have been better and the bathroom situation would be problematic with a full house of guests (which was beyond the control of the owner).
- Elizabeth (10/5): We enjoyed our stay and our interaction with the hosts. - Very interesting and spacious house, beautiful grounds, lovely host. Nice breakfast with other friendly guests. It made a good base for visiting Red Rocks Amphitheater and nearby towns of Evergreen and Holden. It has a long and steep driveway so be aware you might want a car with a higher frame. We were fine in our low Toyota but were a little concerned.
- Miriam (9/5): Perfect location to introduce Colorado to our friends. Close to Red Rocks amphitheatre for our Diana Ross concert. - The location of the accommodation was superb, offering both convenience and a lovely setting to explore the area.
The property itself was extremely comfortable and well-appointed, with all the amenities one could need for a pleasant stay. One of the standout features was the excellent breakfast provided by the host. It was not only delicious but also a great start to the day.
Wilhelmina was the perfect hostess, exuding warmth and hospitality throughout my stay. Her stories about her intriguing life added a personal touch to the experience, making it all the more memorable.
- Davidson (1/5): i would appreciate a call to discuss this situation 202/253-1795 - This place does not exist! No such address and when i tried to find a website - nothing! We asked a local gentleman if he knew of this B&B and he said no. he also confirmed that there is no such address.
No vacancy at any nearby locations.
I would like a refund of my $463.73 as soon as possible.
- Judith (10/5): Exceptional -
- Aimee (7/5): Amazing stay for outdoorsman & single extrovert adults - The property is small and far away from any other structures/traffic/cities, etc. Its truly a mountain reprieve. Its a single two story house, with multiple guest rooms on the upper floor rented out. So this is not your own private cabin, for example. The host stays on property in the bedroom close by yours on the same upper floor. The house is situated on a steep cliff - lots of stairs to this property, so be mindful if you are traveling with someone with disabilities. One side of the house faces sweeping, gorgeous views, the back half faces the wall of the cliff, which is about 10 ft from the building. There is a small wooden patio with a table, a few chairs, and a hot tub. A hummingbird feeder attracts many hummingbirds and also black bears. Expect to see chipmunks. This retreat is definitely designed for 1-2 adult party getaways, with fresh coffee ready in the mornings and a wine/beer bar in the evenings. Breakfast is sliced fruit, chobani yoghurt, hard boiled eggs, and a large store bought muffin. Its close quarters living with conversations & TV clearly audible through the walls & floors so it feels very much like staying at a relative's house & lots of opportunity for great conversation with a wonderfully social hostess. She has a partner living with her there but I don't think he is your host. There is satellite TV (no streaming service login on the TV) and good wifi available, and local food delivery available as well as a small refrigerator in our room and plastic bottled water. Great shower pressure, temperature, soft clean towels, mattress, bedding, sheets were in great shape & comfort after a long day of hiking. The area is loaded with world class hiking/outdoor activities. There is no curfew to the property. A massage room is available if you'd like to privately hire someone to come to the property. Because the house is in the mountains, the septic system is delicate, with a reminder in the bathrooms that NO toilet paper is to be flushed. Used toilet paper must be placed in the trash can next to the toilet. I know that some delicate & sensitive people will not like that. There are three toilets available to use in total on the property, but none of them are private. There is even one with a japanese toilet & bidet but no door - only a propped up shower curtain for privacy on that one. You will not have your own en suite, and must bring your toiletry bag to the bathroom every time you need to brush your teeth/take a shower. There are leftover shampoo & conditioners left by previous guests available but none of them are upscale brands. Consider bringing your own with you if that is important to you. Some parts of the house may have A/C, but our bedroom relied instead on the mountain breeze at night and a small portable fan provided. Our bedroom was advertised as having mountain view, but it had two large windows facing the mountain wall approx 10-15ft from it, and one small window 90 degrees from them which directly overlooks the outdoor patio. Mountain vistas were only available if you positioned yourself 30 degrees to the right of this small window. Consequently the breeze is quite restricted & we got hot at night in June. No laundry available on site to guests and no kitchen access. If you are scared of heights/drop offs, this is not the property for you, nor is there much to explore on property as it is perched on a ledge, but there is plenty of flat - hilly hiking a short drive away. Because of the exterior cameras at each entrance, exit, & the patio, as well as the thin walls, squeaky bed-frame, & shared bathrooms, this is not the property for couples looking for privacy and romance. There are guest robes in the closet but ours were not washed after the prior use. Despite advertising a fitness room, there is not one here.
- Hawkins (10/5): Beautiful views and thoughtful amenities! -
- Pattie (10/5): Lovely home in Evergreen, Colorado - Beautiful location, clean, accommodating, friendly host. Nice breakfast, no fuss check in and out.
