The colourful creative interiors and the advantage of having a restaurant on site due to the isolated location. Staff were friendly and helpful. The plastic poolside chairs were very dirty and the area surrounding the pool requires more cleaning .The lighting in the grounds at night could be brighter. The lunchtime menu of the restaurant was a repetition of the evening menu with no offer of simple salads or cold options. This was disappointing.

Goed eten bij een familie die hart heeft voor het vak. Goed eten en drinken een exhte aanrader.

• David (10/5): Definitely a great time to be had and i will return. - The location is amazing. In the middle of nowhere, 2km from the main road. The food from the hotel was very good and very well cooked. Good breakfast, I’ve got nothing bad to say. The smell from the bathroom wasn’t the greatest. It’s the only negative point. Maybe the drain was not the best but the smells were returning from the shower drain.

• Lana (10/5): Erholsam - Wir haben uns von der ersten Sekunde an so wohl, willkommen und zuhause gefühlt und kommen definitiv wieder. Hier steht so viel Liebe im Detail und es fehlt einem an nichts. Das Essen und die Atmosphäre waren ein Traum. Danke für eure Gastfreundschaft und diese wunderbaren Tage.
• Nadir (10/5): - I’m hesitant to write anything that might erode what still feels like a well-kept secret, but Herdade da Matinha is such a lovely and warm place to stay that it doesn’t feel right to keep it to oneself. It’s a beautiful property, at once remote and fully serviced, a charming hotel set amidst orchards and fields. It manages to feel both familial and professional, with a very high standard of hospitality. There’s a kind of luxury that comes from staying somewhere so integrated with nature, thoughtfully designed to let it in. It feels rustic and charming without compromising on convenience, comfort, or modernity. There are horses grazing among the trees as you have breakfast. Our four-year-old was so happy roaming the grounds, playing in the pool, relaxing on the deck, and doing the treasure hunt the staff had organized. It really is the perfect spot for families and couples looking for a quiet, comfortable base to explore the surrounding countryside and beaches. The food is very good, and the staff are genuinely lovely. This was our second family trip there, and as before, they took great care of us throughout our stay.

Die Lage ist perfekt um abzuschalten und zur Ruhe zu kommen. Es hat sehr viel Platz und die liebevolle Einrichtung sowie das zuvorkommende Personal lässt einen sofort ankommen und länger bleiben wollen! Ich werde wieder kommen!

• Daniela (7/5): Lugar de Tranquilidade, Descanso e Optima Comida! - Gostei de todo o espaco da herdade. Espaco para descanso e para se abstrair da rotina da semana, com tranquilidade e contato com a natureza. Adorei a comida do restaurante, entre elas a mousse de chocolate que foi das melhores que ja provei. Atendimento ao cliente. Foi a nossa primeira estadia na Herdade da Matinha e este contato foi o que na nossa opiniao falhou. Desde a rececao ate ao dia da saida. Nunca nos perguntaram, com excecao do pequeno almoco, se estava tudo bem ou se tinhamos gostado da estadia. Acho que este aspecto a Herdade devera ter mais atencao e trabalhar estas competencias com o seu staff. No entanto, e um lugar lindo e que vale a pena visitar!

Zimmer /Bad brauchen Renovierung Essen sehr dürftig Total unbeleuchtet um ans Hotel zu kommen . Ankunft am Abend nur mit Taschenlampe zu empfehlen ! Alles Kiesel Wege oder Gras !! Mag romantisch klingen ist aber schwierig zu meistern
• Cristina (9/5): - O local é muito bonito e agradável. Da nossa parte pessoal gostámos mais dos quartos mais pequenos e antigos da herdade . Não gostámos da nova tipologia de quartos que nos foi atribuído, são mais recentes, no entanto não se enquadram com o conceito rural e típico , além de serem grandes e frios, de referir que fomos em janeiro. No entanto, foram impecáveis e trocaram prontamente de quarto para junto à casa principal e ficámos muito contentes pois esses ficam dentro do conceito rural da herdade. Os colaboradores muito simpáticos e profissionais sem serem muito formais , o que se enquadra muito bem neste tipo de alojamento.

Dependendo do seu quarto, fazem deixar o carro em um parking ao que deves acessar por uma estrada de terra em condições muito ruins. Sendo que eles tem uma estrada de asfalto que chega até perto isto não faz sentido.

• Sonia (10/5): Slow life au milieu de la nature - Le service personnalisé et à taille humaine, l'environnement de l'hôtel, la gentillesse du personnel et des propriétaires qui prennent le temps de discuter avec vous, le confort de la chambre, la qualité des massages, les belles œuvres d'art du propriétaire exposées un peu partout :-) Rien du tout. Par contre il est bon de savoir que l'hôtel étant au milieu de la nature, l'accès se fait pas une route en terre battue avec quelques nids de poule sur une distance d'env. 3 km. Le soir, le chemin n'est pas éclairé (le prix à payer pour la tranquillité) :-D. Néanmoins, le chemin est très bien signalé, cela ne m'a pas dérangé mais c'est bien d'avoir une voiture qui tient la route ^^

Cocktails are not good but price ok. Restaurant are quite pricy.. The road to get to the hotel is not awesome.

The swimming pool, the calm, and the breakfast was excellent. We missed some of the thoughtful touches you sometimes get with more personable places e.g. a small welcome gift, a selection of tea and biscuits etc. this would have elevated to excellent, but all considered, a very special place.

• Rebeca (4/5): Relação preço/qualidade desajustada - O espaço do restaurante O espaço parece pouco cuidado, o staff muito inexperiente, a inflexibilidade para alterações nas datas da estadia o que nos obrigou a fazer checkout 1 dia mais cedo, não aceitarem animais de estimação, espaço da piscina bastante degradado e o parco isolamento acústico dos quartos. Fiquei bastante desiludida com a experiência no geral. Relação preço/qualidade desajustada face à enorme oferta de alojamentos hoje em dia. Não pretendo voltar, infelizmente.

Convient parfaitement aux personnes qui recherchent le calme et la sérénité . Les seules critiques pourraient émaner de personnes qui ne supportent pas l’absence d’ambiance trépidante de la ville…
• ANA (4/5): - A Herdade da Matinha surpreendeu-nos com a simpatia e disponibilidade dos funcionários. O acesso à Herdade é realizado por uma estrada de terra batida, não tendo sido efetuada qualquer comunicação prévia nesse sentido. Acresce referir que a circulação na herdade com um carrinho de bebé se revelou bastante difícil, uma vez que os acessos não se encontram devidamente preparados para esse fim. As fotografias disponibilizadas apresentam uma casa principal em excelente estado de conservação, contudo, ficámos desapontados com a área destinada aos quartos de família. A limpeza geral dos passadiços e da sala de refeições revelou-se insuficiente. Além disso, considerámos o pequeno-almoço bastante limitado. Durante os dois dias da nossa estadia, apenas estavam disponíveis duas variedades de fruta. O jantar no restaurante, embora dispendioso, não correspondeu à qualidade esperada.

• Filipa Cardoso Dias (10/5): - A herdade da Matinha nunca desilude e é o nosso destino favorito de verão. É um local super tranquilo e e total contacto com a natureza. Não consigo encontrar defeitos. O atendimento é sempre otimo, os quartos são excelentes e super adaptados às nossas necessidades. As piscinas são maravilhosas para estar com crianças (ou não) e aproveitar ao máximo a natureza. As areas cómuns são maravilhosas e facilitam o quebrar do ritmo do resto do ano. O sossego e a calma que este sitio nos trasmite não tem preço.

• Torsten (8/5): Sehr entspannte und entschleunigende Tage im Coubtryhouse. - Ein stilvoll eingerichtetes Landhotel mitten in der Natur. Die Zufahrt erfolgt über eine circa 3 km lange private Schotterstraße. Die Zimmer sind in Containerbauweise auf dem Gelände verteilt. Unsere Unterkunft bestand aus acht Zimmern mit einem eigenen großen Pool (16m) direkt vor der Tür. Die Zimmer sind mit über 30 m² sehr großzügig und haben eine gute Ausstattung. Das Haupthaus ist mit dem Restaurant ist im Country Stil sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Das Restaurant hat eine exzellente Küche man fühlt sich dort sehr wohl. Son prix Le confort existe mais il faut pas exagérer. Le savon etait vide. De plus les 2 vitres de la chambre cassée. Attention le plancher en bois de la piscine à refaire, prenez soin de vos pieds et attention aux escaliers glissants .

• Maria (3/5): - A localização é espaço bastante agradáveis. Pequeno-almoço bom. Não havia água quente no quarto, solicitamos resolução do problema mas não foi resolvido. A confeção dos pratos no restaurante tem pouca qualidade e o atendimento deixa muito a desejar.
