- KAREN (8/5): Perfect base for Zipworld. Good size family accommodation. - The kitchen and dining area were spacious. Our host provided some lovely Welsh treats for us on our arriva.
The location was ideal for Zipworld and a good base from which to visit Betws y Coed and Portmerion. The loft lounge was a bit difficult for my older parents to access but they managed the stairs ok. A downstairs sofa would've been ideal but there wasn't quite enough space. An ensuite toilet for the double room would've been perfect

- Vikki (8/5): Great location for visiting the zip worlds and some lovely waterfall walks - The host left us a lovely selection of goodies on arrival. Nothing
- Coral (10/5): A wonderful comfy, cosy and well equipped base for exploring North Wales. - My husband and I booked the cottage for a few days over half term with our six-year-old and our whippet.
From the very first communication, I could tell the hosts genuinely cared about their guests’ comfort. The cottage certainly didn’t disappoint — we loved it from the moment we pulled up and opened the door to a beautifully lit, cosy hallway.
The décor is stylish yet welcoming, and the kitchen-diner is a real hub of the home, with everything thoughtfully catered for. We loved the coffee machine and record player! We were greeted with lovely fresh flowers and delicious Welsh goodies, and our little one was especially impressed to find the biscuit jar fully stocked!
The beds were incredibly comfortable — and much appreciated after long days of exploring. The cottage is in Ffestiniog, with stunning views of the slate hills and even the steam train passing right by the back garden. It’s perfectly positioned for exploring Snowdonia and all that North Wales has to offer. Zip World, Betws-y-Coed, Black Rock Sands and Swallow Falls are within easy reach, and we also enjoyed day trips to Caernarfon and Anglesey across the Menai Bridge.
We absolutely loved our stay and will definitely be back. Thank you so much for a wonderful break. Nothing!

- Alexandros (9/5): A trip surrounded by the mountains - We stayed 4 nights, and it was truly amazing. The house was very clean with warm bed covers and plenty of complimentary goody's. Outside the firepit, giving you the choice to stay outside till late and the shops are 10 min walking distance. The hosts were very welcoming, and they were very detailed about various information about the house and the area. The ground floor will benefit with a small sofa!
- Jude (9/5): Delightful!!! - The welcome package was a delight, lots of tasty treats and a chilled bottle of wine was a perfect way to start the trip. Really loved the big table in the kitchen, it ment you could socialise while cooking and play board games. The loft was a lovely chill out space and great for watching the ever changing weather over the top of the slate piles. The garden was very cute, shame the Welsh weather ment we could not have a fire-pit but still lovely for a morning coffee. The location made it very easy to explore. That we only booked 3 nights!!!
- Eve (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jordan (10/5): The cottage is cozy, has great hosts, and in a quaint area with excellent exploring possibilities. - It is a charming home and Gwion was attentive and responsive to all of our needs. Nothing it was phenomenal.
- Toni (10/5): Gorgeous trainspotting location - For watching trains on the local railway, this location is second to none. We absolutely loved watching the locos and saying hello to Linda each morning as she was brought out of her shed. The little kitchen was great as was the shower. Not a massive fan of the staors as they were a bit steep for me but thats to be expected in a miners cottage! Owners were great and really responsive, would 100% stay again. Could do with a comfy chair pr sofa downstairs to curl up in! The village is right up the mountain. If the road gets closed its a long way around, as we discovered!
