Could of done with more information regarding
Activities
Disappointed that some of the activities we couldn’t book as it wasn’t on due to a change over on Monday. If you only come for couple days it’s a long way we need to know these things. Before we book preferably.
A easier diagram or instructions showing where to go we were alittle confused at first. Having special needs child this would have helped.
All in all the kids enjoyed it
- Rose (10/5): Great quiet location - Quiet location on park
Comfy bed
Good shower
Lovely clean caravan
- Paula (8/5): -
- Philip (10/5): Shell's Break, Excellent holiday home at Tatershall lakes. - Great location, spotlessly clean, excellent communication from the owner, and a lovely welcome pack. Nothing.
- Kayleigh (10/5): Fantastic, well equipped and clean. Host easily available to talk to -
- Ruscoe (10/5): Lovely welcome and very clean 👌 would definitely recommend and use again 😀 -
- Richard (10/5): -
- Tracey (9/5): A perfect home from home - The attention to detail and the welcome hamper. A true home from home! Nothing I didnt like - just some suggestions.
-Simple instructions for the kitchen appliances would have been useful if we'd wanted to use them. And we might have needed a bigger saucepan if we'd had a full complement of people with us.
- Julie (10/5): Fabulous Birthday Weekend - From booking to arriving, Michelle made sure all was perfect, we needed some R&R for hubby's birthday took our dog with us, we were all well and truly relaxed at "Shells" can't fault anything at all,we were even greeted by a fabulous hamper, very thoughtful and most appreciated, thank you x we will definitely be back asap, 😀
- Ian (9/5): Excellent caravan and very comfortable - Very noisy neighbours in adjacent caravan
- Pauline (9/5): Overwhelmed by thought put into making this unit so comfortable and welcoming. - Exceptional thought of making it home from home adding every accessory needed. All you need to take is food. We were overwhelmed. Caravan may be a few years old but inside it looks very stylish and well maintained - all credit to the owner! Great location for aircraft War enthusiasts with Coningsby, East Kirkby on doorstep. Nothing!
- samantha (10/5): Lovely quiet stay! Everything included that we needed. Will definitely be staying again. - The caravan had everything! All the utensils, down to a high chair and toddler plates. It was clean, had all the bedding and covers provided. There was new hand wash and new cloths to use for washing up and a hoover that worked! so many places don’t which is a shame, It’s nice to have a freshen up throughout the week. Communication was brilliant with the owner and the park passes were discussed prior to coming which we purchased. We had a welcome board and some goodies which we were so grateful for! Thank you so much! We will be definitely staying again, perfect quiet location! Nothing to add here :)
- Polonia (10/5): - It was excellent comfortable place to stay with my family and our dog.We had everything needed for the holiday in the house.Thank you Only the noise from the airplane early in the morning.
- Haley (8/5): - Host was really helpful throughout the stay. Added extras where lovely!! And the wellcome gifts were so thoughtful thank you! It was a private caravan, so I needed to pay extra to get entertainment passes, not the owners fault but it is expensive, just bare this in mind if you go private. Would be even better with a hottub (suggestion lol). But overall great stay thank you!
- Jessica (8/5): Great location and very well priced. Will stay again! - It was very comfortable and the host was incredible. Needs cushions for outdoor chairs.
- paul (10/5): -
- Jane (9/5): BORING - The welcome box was a lovely bonus We were too far away from anything. The cost of the passes were way too high
- Carl (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sherifat (10/5): Exceptional - Host was nice and friendly and communicated very well with us
She gave us treats to make our stay more enjoyable l Nothing
An advice and not a complaint
Host to make available instructions for the use of fire place.
- Sandra (10/5): Location, communication with owner - Location quiet at the bottom of park , brilliant if you like watching jets take off or land nearly see the pilot
Walks along the canal
Nice welcome pack from Michelle Nothing
Will be going again, definitely recommend
- Ian (10/5): Exceptional - Excellent family holiday. Plenty to do on site and plenty locally
- Kerrie (8/5): Lovely well equipped caravan but entertainment passes are extortionate - Nice clean well equipped caravan with little extra touches such as WiFi, coffee machine and air fryer. Lovely welcome hamper on arrival too. The caravan was quite far from amenities. Not near any of the lakes, no views and noisy neighbours in the caravan next door but one. We enquired about the leisure passes ....these are needed to even access the on site bar and restaurant. The entertainment passes were going to cost £150 for 2 days which is daylight robbery when you have to pay extra on top for any activities. I doesn't make for a cheap last minute getaway and the owner should have been a bit more transparent about the added costs.
There's not much else to do in the area. The castle is pleasant to visit for half a hour. There's a little co-op in the nearby village handy for supplies and there are 2 very nice pubs serving good food on the road to Woodhall Spa. Woodhall spa is a nice place to visit and has a great heated outdoor lido which we made use of.
- Cameron (10/5): Amazing short break, we'll be back! - We're keen aircraft spotters so with the caravan literally a couple of hundred meters from the Runway of RAF Coningsby, it was fantastic watching the fighter jets scream over us every day.
The caravan, though dated, was clean, tidy and comfortable. The owner obviously takes pride in keeping the caravan in good condition. (I've been to some caravans that are almost new but we've had to clean it ourselves).
There's onsite parking for one car on hard standing but you could easily get another down the side or even Infront on the grass.
If you fancy eating out we can highly recommend the Blue Bell Inn, which has a huge menu but it's almost like a BBMF mini museum too, you have to go!
We'll definitely be back!! My only issues were the lack of plug sockets next to the beds.
The c'van doesn't have central heating but the owner has provided a large oil radiator that heats the living space up in a short time (we went in March, so cold nights).
The front door sticks and takes a bit of force to close and lock.
Beware though not the owners fault, you need to buy expensive entertainment passes to use the onsite restaurant and bar, though at £7 for a pint, you're better off buying beer in or going out. Some lovely pubs and restaurants within a 10 mins drive.
- Dianne (8/5): We had a lovely stay in a particularly comfortable caravan. - Very clean and fresh with everything provided as well as extra treats.
Host answered the phone immediately to answer any questions. Instruction books for appliances would have saved unnecessary phone calls.
- Burgess (9/5): Superb - The welcome pack, home from home. Spotless.
- Kate (9/5): Lovely, home from home. - It was a lovely caravan. Very well looked after. All the extras left by the host was lovely. The only thing i can think of which isn’t down to the host at all was the noise of the planes as my 18 month old was so scared every time they went over. But again, nothing to do with the host. Myself and my daughters actually enjoyed them after we got used to the noise!!!
- Paula (10/5): Had an amazing time, me and my son didn’t want to go home. - Home from home, it had everything we needed, it was warm and comfortable. Games to play and plenty of room. There wasn’t anything to not like.
- Laura (9/5): Great caravan in a good location. We are going again next year. - Brilliant location.
Lovely clean caravan with it's own secure balcony, a shower room and a separate toilet room. We have stayed here several times because it is so nice.
Some reviewers have unfairly marked the caravan down due to the noise of low flying aircraft from RAF Coningsby which is next door.
They are incredibly loud, the ground shakes as they fly over, and they can fly all day sometimes, occasionally at night. It is like being at an air show.
But this has nothing to do with Michelle or the caravan. Nothing, everything was great.
- White (10/5): Great stay - Quiet location caravan spotless had everything we would need, thankyou Michelle for the lovely welcome pack would definitely book again. Couldn't fault anything
- Sophie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rebecca (9/5): Lovely stay in a lovely caravan - It was a nice quiet location, lovely welcome gift, nice outside area. Kitchen was well equipped The beds weren’t very comfortable and the temperature on the shower was hit and miss
- Zara (10/5): Exceptional -
- John (10/5): My wife’s birthday weekend & the perfect place to spend it😁 - Peaceful location, so clean it looked brand new, Michelle is an amazing host, close to coningsby airfield it was like having our very own air show Nothing
- Tracy (8/5): Excellent 👍 - The caravan was very roomy and comfortable and very clean. There were lots of extras that were not expected.
The lovely welcome gift was very thoughtful and the owner kept in touch answering any queries.
Definitely hope to return Nothing
- Jessica (8/5): Wonderful caravan for a lovely weekend - Our stay was wonderful, the caravan is really clean and well kept in a lovely quiet part of the park. It had everything we could need including a lovely welcome hamper on arrival. Great outdoor space to enjoy the lovely weather and completely secure so our dog could not get out. Michelles communication was great from the moment we booked and she was happy to answer any questions I had really quickly.
We had a really lovely stay and we will definitely be back :) Nothing
- Andrew (9/5): Superb - Lovely place and fab host, welcome hamper was really appreciated especially since we booked the night before we arrived, so this wasn't expected. We would definitely stay again.
Park is very busy, but this property is in a quieter area which we really appreciated.
- Jacky (10/5): Enjoyed every minute while we was there - Excellent holiday home everything that you need while away has been provided Nothing
- Emma (10/5): Exceptional - The space of thr home was wonderful , everything you needed was inside. All in all a really comfortable place to stay. Only thing I could say if I had to was its location however for our family who like walking this wasn't a issue being 20 minutes away from amenities.
- Paul (10/5): Exceptional -
- Richard (10/5): Exceptional - The host left us a selection of chocolates, Crisps, wine, milk, toiletries and some golf balls (she knew we were on a golfing trip)
The accommodation was very clean and tidy, towels were provided and all beds were made up
There was plenty of crockery, glasses and kitchen Utensils and a selection of books and games.
If we had any questions, they were answered promptly
- Gareth (10/5): Absolutely fantastic - Excellent There was nothing we didn’t like
- Alan (9/5): Superb - Well located!! Very good!!
- William (10/5): Exceptional - No planes
- Jamie (10/5): Exceptional - It was a great few days away and Michelle was on the phone if we needed anything. Will defo be coming back
- Jayne (10/5): A smart, clean, very welcoming place to stay. - Clean. Thoughtful welcome gifts. All basics provided. Only down side - a long walk to the amenities!
- Paul (9/5): Superb -
- Claire (10/5): This property was exceptionally clean, very spacious and well looked after. The welcome pack on arrival was a lovely tou - The property was beautiful. Very well maintained and spotless. Nothing at all.
- Robert (10/5): Exceptional -
- Paul (10/5): Exceptional - Great communication from host. Accomadation was clean cosy and very relaxing. The arrival gift package was a really nice extra. Would defiantly stay again.
- Georgina (9/5): Superb -
- Matthew (9/5): Superb -
- Jane (10/5): Lovely clean accommodation -
- Lindsey (8/5): Very good - Great value for money and an excellent location
- Turner (6/5): Pleasant - Enjoyed seeing the wildlife and walking round the camp with my dog. The lady who owns the caravan was lovely and left some goodies on my arrival. Price was excellent value. Having to pay extra for facilities which we didn't bother with and we were right next to the airfield where the aircraft took off which was extremely loud. Sorry but won't be returning to this camp again. It's a shame as it's a lovely camp. The property needs the upholstery and carpet deep cleaning. The lady who owns the caravan obviously doesn't know and relies on the cleaner to tell her. She needs to check over the caravan and instruct repair men and cleaner on a few problems. Key fob is not secure enough, ceiling there's a piece not fitting properly I wouldn't want water to come in,, bathroom window doesn't keep.open. It just need checking round it to see what else is wrong.
- Nadine (10/5): Great stay, easy to find with directions and the caravan had just about everything needed. - Very clean, comfy beds, lovely balcony and perfect location. No iron or mop.
- Goldie (5/5): Passable - Family all been together ❤️ Wasn't very clean inside at all
- Martin (8/5): Very good - The park was very busy but the van was in a quiet area .. nice walks and villages closeby Passes for the complex were extortionate.
- Michael (7/5): Good -
- Charlotte (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lyndsey (10/5): Exceptional - Loved it all. Great location, right under the flight Path of RAF Coningsby. Lovely and clean with all home comforts. Even had a little welcome gift. Nothing.
- Laura (9/5): Brilliant caravan and location. - A lovely clean and comfortable 3 bedroom caravan, with the bonus of 2 toilets.
An enclosed verandah at the side.
In a quiet crescent at the very edge of the park, with no other caravans behind us, just a line of trees and a grassy bank.
Well away from the entertainment and clubhouse area, which can get noisy and busy. It was about a 20 minute walk away at a steady pace for a senior citizen. Nothing. everything was good.
- Connor (10/5): Exceptional -
- Slawomir (10/5): Exceptional -
- Linda (10/5): Lovely caravan with everything you could possibly need - Great caravan in a brilliant location. It was well equipped with everything you could possibly need. The welcome gift was a lovely surprise. We'd definitely stay again.
