Guest Reviews
- Helen (10/5): Amazing stay! - Amazing property. Very clean and comfortable with all the home comforts we needed. A very convenient location . There was nothing not to like!
- Jyothi (10/5): - The property is advertised as 2 bedroom but it is actually a 3 bedroom 2 bathroom property with spacious sitting room. Very quite and calm, away from traffic. The hosts stay next door but they won't bother you.
- Lauren (10/5): Wonderfully festive Christmas break - We travelled from Eastbourne for a Christmas break with family nearby and had the most wonderful stay. The cottage was perfect – spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated, cosy and with everything we needed, plus some lovely festive touches that made it feel extra special.
I stayed here with my mum and my two daughters (22 and 13), and it was particularly meaningful as my mum grew up in a nearby village where our family still live. I also grew up in the area before moving south as a child, so being able to take my girls on the same walks I remember from my own childhood was incredibly special.
The owner was so helpful, thoughtful and friendly, and we really couldn’t have asked for a better place to make Christmas memories. Thank you for such a lovely stay – we truly had the best time. There were no downsides at all.
- john (9/5): Great value and lively retreat. - Extremely clean, great facilities, very comfortable. Nicely laid out. We had a very pleasant stay and are likely to book again. Could have done with stumble drier however after a wet day at work, Annie put my wet clothes through her tumble drier so all was good.
The stairs to the upstairs bedroom go through one of the first floor bedrooms so could be a privacy issue depending on who you're staying with
- Mark (9/5): Relaxing stay in the southern Cotswolds - Very comfortable, relaxing stay. Attentive host who looked after our needs. EV charging available
- Sarah (10/5): Definitely coming back☘️ - Beautiful cottage. Annie was wonderful and looked after everything we needed over the weekend
- Jacob (9/5): Lovely retreat surrounded by beautiful countryside. Would highly recommend - The hosts ensured we had all the information we needed to get to the property and gain access
- Reece (10/5): Exceptional - Fantastic property and hosts
- Hashem (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sue (9/5): A lovely mini break with my daughter and granddaughters. - Very clean, warm and comfortable with everything you could need (apart from a full length mirror!) Lovely and quiet. The smell from adjoining poultry farm!
- Marco (10/5): A comfortable and relaxing cottage for getaways and quiet times. - This was our first time at this cottage, we stayed for a week to get a break in between moving houses. The cottage had everything we needed to relax as a family of 5. TV is well connected and easy to use, with ample choice of streaming services. Bring your own HDMI cable if you need to connect to it, as there isn't one at the property. We used the washing machine and dried clothes outside, there's also an excellent dishwasher. Tablets and soap are provided for a short stay. Kitchen is very well equipped, and living spaces are very comfortable. A short 15min. walk takes you to a nearby village for any essentials. We mostly spent time reading, watching TV and cooking, as we needed the rest. The location is extremely tranquil, fairly secluded and the owners very discreet but always available should the need arise. More than things we didn't like were things we had to adapt to. One bedroom is not completely private, as the stairs to go to the attic room were in the same room. A group looking for 3 private bedrooms will find this disappointing. The bathroom upstairs did not have a shower, and it was quite shallow. We found that rinsing after a bath meant having a second bath, as there is no quick way to rinse off soap. Therefore we used the only shower cubicle. The bed in the attic room was a bit on the soft side, this is a personal preference, but worth bearing in mind if your back gets sore with a soft bed. These things weren't really an major issue for us, and the price needs also to be taken into consideration.
