• Carol (10/5): Most relaxing 3 nights of my life. Just what the doctor ordered. - Loved the whole experience. The views are to die for. Peaceful and relaxing. The wildlife was wonderful, even saw Bambi in the woods! Jacqui my host was just lovely, warm and friendly.

The atmosphere was calm and welcoming, making it easy to switch off from everyday stress. The host was fantastic friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. It’s clear they take great care in making sure guests have a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The location is absolutely beautiful, surrounded by stunning scenery that adds to the overall charm of the place. Hot tub was just perfect & even better at night where you can see the stars. Whether you’re looking for a relaxing getaway or just some time in a lovely setting, Orchard Lodge is a great choice. We would happily & will definitely return. N/A
• Rachel (10/5): Breathtaking - We got married Friday morning and made our way to the lodge until check out today. We had the most amazing time, everything was so clean and lovely. The attention to detail was amazing. Sadly we didn’t meet Jacqui but Andrew made sure we were well looked after, he is such an amazing host and what a lovely person he is! The views were incredible. The sounds of the birds and the sheer peace and quiet! Bliss! The hot tub was amazing!!! A personal highlight for me was our visits from jock the farm cat lol, he made my stay that extra bit special! The grounds around the property are beautiful also. Andrew let us borrow wellies and even gave me a shot of a fleece as I stupidly forgot a coat! We cannot wait to return in the future! Thank you again so much, as I explained before this was my first ever trip away from home and I am 30. So I classed it as a little holiday as I’ve never been on holiday either. • tracy (10/5): Peaceful, picturesque & perfect 😊 - This little hidden gem was so quiet & tranquil we wanted a lovely chilled weekend away for our wedding anniversary, which is exactly what we got. Jacqui & Andrew the hosts were friendly, welcoming & extremely helpful. Would definitely recommend this break away for a special couples getaway. There was nothing we didn't like to be honest.

The setting is truly idyllic, offering a peaceful retreat that feels miles away from the everyday hustle, yet with all the conveniences you could want for a scenic getaway. The hosts, Jacqui and Andrew, were exceptionally gracious and welcoming from the moment we arrived. Their warmth and attentiveness really elevated our experience. They were incredibly accommodating and offered any assistance we needed, especially given the inclement weather during our visit. Their hospitality made us feel truly looked after. The lodge itself has every convenience required for a tranquil escape. It’s clear that every detail has been considered to ensure comfort and ease, making relaxation effortless. The hot tub deserves a special mention—outstanding and perfectly positioned to make the most of the stunning views. It added an extra layer of luxury to our stay and was the ideal way to unwind after a day of exploring. We enjoyed our stay so much that we’ve already booked again. • Sarah (10/5): Beautifully peaceful - Everything was just perfect. We wanted a quiet, relaxing break and we got exactly that. The lodge had everything we needed and more. The bed was very comfortable, the views were beautiful and the hot tub was amazing
• Sandra (10/5): A magical stay in a wonderful location. - Superb location overlooking a ravine filled with wooland lawns and a walled garden with a river at the bottom. Very peaceful and private. The wonderful hosts were available and attentive if needed, but never intrusive. A beautiful lodge with the sounds of nature as a companion. Definitely recommend for a relaxing few days away. A minor thing but less glassware for the hot tub to make more space on the shelves for the food we brought.

The lodge was absolutely beautiful, with views that honestly made us stop and just take it all in. You can tell Jacqui has put so much thought into every little detail, everything was so well set up and made the whole experience feel special. We’re already talking about when we can come back. • Lisa (9/5): The perfect getaway - The setting is stunning, secluded, quiet and private. The host, Jacqui, is lovely, so welcoming and friendly. The lodge has EVERYTHING you'll need, including binoculars and telescopes for wildlife watching and star gazing. There's a fly screen surrounding the hot tub and a canvas roof to keep flies and tree bits out! You're provided with robes and slippers and there's a clothes horse to dry your swimmies on. The shower pressure isn't too strong and is lovely and hot. The bed is comfy as is the sofa. We ate at Carrigan's in East Kilbride (20 minutes away) https://johncarrigans.co.uk/ There's a Sainsbury's and lots of lovely shops in Strathaven and a nice 3.6 mile waterfall walk. The fire exit sign's green light is very bright at night, but is obviously a necessity (to be fair, eye masks are provided). The bathroom window could do with a blind or curtain as I felt quite exposed of an evening with the light on! 👀 That's it, 2 little niggles. Nothing else to put on here.

Hosts were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble - and Jacqui’s apple jelly was delicious. Location was beautiful and very quiet and private. It’s so quiet and relaxing during the day and more so at night. The owner is just lovely and friendly and so helpful. We thought there could be steps into the hot tub, which might have helped get in and out. Also I felt that the shower could have been a bit more powerful. Struggled to get hair washed.

• Graeme (10/5): Perfect country getaway - If I could give 11 or 12 out of 10 I would! This place is idyllic. The lodge is in a very rural location but if, like us, you are looking for a relaxing break with great facilities and a hint of luxury this is perfect. Everything was spotlessly clean (including yhe hot tub) and the views are lovely. The only slight downside to our stay was that the Internet signal was poor which led to a few problems watching the digital TV.

• Kevin (10/5): Utterly relaxing, 10mins from Strathaven, secluded, welcoming and stunning. - Open the doors on the lodge and the view is private, not overlooked and absolutely stunning over a valley with a river at the bottom. nice to support a small business rather than a big hotel chain…! set in 22 acres - just stunning. nothing to not like… clean, well looked after, everything you need to hand and Jacquie and Andrew (owners) greeted us on arrival and were just lovely… wish we were here longer…
