Guest Reviews
- Dale (10/5): Ideal for a short break - Nice location, quiet , easy parking right next to the cabin . Friendly hosts No problems
- Michelle (10/5): - Location, accomodation, & Trevor Nothing
- Sheldon (10/5): The Good Life - Nothing to fault Having to leave
- Emma (10/5): - What a fabulous last minute find Tom's Cabin was... If you are after total peace, rest and relaxation this is the place for you. Super cosy, comfy bed and powerful shower. Trevor is an excellent host - nothing was too much trouble. I can't wait to go back! Nothing!
- Nikitas (10/5): -
- Paul (10/5): Thanks so much to Trevor, well looked after throughout - Comfortable, well equipped
- Sue J Williams (10/5): A cozy retreat for peace and relaxation - The cabin had everything I needed and more. The log fire was a new experience but provided all the heat I needed. Trevor had the fire ready for when I arrived and he called each morning to check the fire was lit and to replenish the stock of coal and logs. His friends were staying in the other log cabin and they also checked that I had the fire going, which was really kind. I had a lovely night's sleep; the bed was so comfy. My intention was to have a relaxing stay and the location was perfect, with some nice walking areas and beautiful views. There was plenty of space for the provisions I took with me and there was a lovely pub just 5 minutes walk away, which served food if needed. There were books to read and a tv service for evening viewing. I would like to visit in the summer, as there is a lovely porch with seating which would be a relaxing area to soak up the tranquility and views. It is a perfect little bolt hole for a bit of solitude, but Trevor was always on hand should you need anything. There are surrounding areas to visit if you wanted to venture out but the log cabin was so nice you really didn't need to go far. I would certainly recommend to friends and look forward to visiting again. There was nothing I didn't like; I had everything I needed. You do need to have a car if you want to go further afield and there are no shops within walking distance so you do need to take everything with you in terms of food and drink. However, it wasn't a negative for me; just something for visitors to be aware of.
- David (10/5): - location was perfect cabins were comfortable and Trevor was so accomodating nothing
- Yvonne (9/5): -
- Pauline (8/5): A lovely rural hideaway - Lovely location An award for the roughest towels ever encountered anywhere
- Hannah (6/5): -
- Louden (8/5): Great place for a rustic/rural getaway with excellent access to many attractions - Comfortable accommodation set in a nice rural environment near a small village. It had character and a lovely outlook on adjacent fields and hills. Very well located for access to the Malvern Hills (area of natural beauty) and historic towns/cities. Nothing
- Marianne (10/5): The Good Life - most relaxing - Very peaceful spot. Handy for exploring the Malverns. Local pub within very short walk. Nothing.
- Jackie (8/5): Short stay - Well equipped snug property in a quiet location. Comfortable bed. Verandah just made for sitting out on especially in the evening when the solar lights put on their display. Parking on site. Host friendly & helpful. Description of property as written. Some ingenious industrial craft work incorporated in the design of the furnishings. As a very short person, only 5ft tall, I found the kitchen cupboards too high to reach & the microwave positioned on a high shelf was rather dangerous to use. I felt unsafe standing on the folding step stool in order to reach either. Possibly some written instructions re use of lighting a wood burner, using the wall heaters & operating the induction hob would be useful. We were given a run through of the hob & a brief instruction as to how the wall heaters work, however.
- Martin (8/5): Rustic cabin in a quiet setting. Has everything you need for a few nights maybe longer. Owner on hand for any issues - Great cabin, as expected. Some nice touches with the lighting, wrought iron cabin names. Not huge but enough room for two for a few nights. Tranquil setting. Owners were renoing a garage but stopped working once guests arrived which was nice. Mattress comfy, slept well All good
- Ross (9/5): - The cabin itself was amazing and so many amenities in such a quaint place. It was located next to an amazing pub called the farmers arms where we went for dinner both evenings. The bed wasn't very comfortable, that was the only negative
- Kingsley (10/5): Absolutely fantastic place - The view The settee isn't the comfiest, but not uncomfortible
- andrew (10/5): Tom Cabin - So tranquil and peaceful. Just the place if you want a total relax. Host was very welcoming but didn't bother you unless you needed something. The cabin was tastefully decorated with everything you could need. Nothing
- Jon (9/5): -
- dave6075 (9/5): - Friendly owners nice and pieceful place to stay. Lovely pub just down the road. Really enjoyed our stay All good nothing springs to mind to make our stay better
- Adam (10/5): Highly recommended - This was our second stay at Tom Cabin. We really like it here, it's about 15 minutes from Tewkesbury and 10 minutes to the lovely town of Ledbury. Malvern is a short drive. A pub is a 10 minute walk down a quiet road and they do good pub food and have a large pub garden.
While you are here, go to British Camp iron age fort - just amazing.
Comfortable bed with a fan above. Lots of thought has gone into the facilities and details. And the dogs loved the lawn in front of our cabin, that looks out towards a hill.
Very enjoyable.
- Elizabeth (10/5): Two nights away for a wedding - Lovely little cabin with great views.
Perfect for what I needed.
- Joanne (8/5): Very good -
- Shelley (8/5): It suited us very well, and we have booked again. - The little terrace was very pleasant.
- Owens (9/5): Superb - Beautiful surroundings, peaceful, well equipped. Easy to find, parking, pet friendly. Nothing
- Trevor (8/5): Very good -
- Margaret (9/5): A really relaxing two days in Toms cabin. Beautiful views. Very comfortable with everything you need - Fabulous setting and very comfortable accommodation. Nothing
- Timothy (10/5): Highly recommended - The 2nd time we have stayed, great location, everything you need, enough space for 2 adults and 2 small dogs, great host, central for so much to explore! Nothing
- Rhiannon (10/5): Wish we lived here!! - Everything about this cabin was a little slice of paradise in the Malvern Hills.
When we arrived, we were greeted by our friendly host, who showed us around and then left us to settle in.
If you crave peace, then this is the place for you!
The beautifully landscaped gardens and the stunning views beyond, can be taken in from the porch, or from the comfort of the bed, through the double windows, which was a joy to wake up to.
You’ll have fluffy towels, a wood burner and infrared heating should you need it, a smart TV with free WI-FI, Complimentary tea and coffee, tasteful, bespoke decor, a hot shower, and a fully equipped kitchen to cook up a delicious meal!
If you aren’t one for cooking, or just fancy a night off, then the local pub is only a five minute walk away down the quiet country road. We ate out there, and the food is hearty, affordable and the portions are huge!
The cabin was immaculate, and a real home from home.
We will definitely be back! There is nothing not to like!
- Paul (10/5): Exceptional - Exactly what we were looking for, a couple of days peace and quiet.
We were met by Trevor on arrival , who showed us around our accommodation , and told us to call if there was anything we needed that wasn't provided, no need to call , Trevor had thought of everything.
The place was spotlessly clean and really comfortable. Parking right next to accommodation was perfect.
We'll be visiting again 👍 Everything brilliant 👏
- Cassie (9/5): Great base for our weekend exploring the Malvern Hills - Clean and tidy property. Nice place to relax. Shower pressure very good. Bbq provided for us on request which was a lovely addition. The nearby pub is great too. Bed was a little short for my 6ft husband. Not a criticism of the property itself but there is a nearby cockerel so if you’re not an early riser or fancy a lie in I would suggest packing ear plugs!
- Pauline (10/5): The owner Trevor was very informative would stay again - Peaceful,Nice view with relaxing outside seating, no road noise,5mins walk to the pub. Not a issue but the door was hard to close & lock needed a hard slam before locking
- Michelle (10/5): Tom's Cabin - location superb for our requirements & cabin / lodge was well equipped & clean. Garden & views were lovely For personal reasons maybe a larger fridge.
- Wayne (10/5): Exceptional - .Nice and quiet, peaceful and very relaxing.
All you could hear in the morning was the birds and the Cockerell, which we loved. Nothing everything was good.
- Steve (9/5): Superb -
- Sue (10/5): relaxing - Great location, peaceful and quiet. Lovely accommodation with nice rural view. Perfect for my cocker spaniel = very pet friendly. na
- Sheila (8/5): A very nice stay, the host was very helpful and looked after us very well. - Location, farm views with sheep and many birds.
Friendly and helpful host. It took a long time to warm up but was then cosy.
The kitchen area was only a microwave and stove top, it would have been useful to have instructions for the microwave.
The description of the property did say what was available in the kitchen.
- Seyit (10/5): Exceptional -
- Panj84 (9/5): Cosy and homely stay, just a short journey from the beautiful Malvern Hills. - We loved our weekend stay in cabin 'Tom'.
We were met by Trevor who was always available to help, but never imposing during the stay.
He topped up out wood for the log burner, had great advice for food options and local walks - always a text away.
Lovely little pub a 5 min walk down the road.
We would love to come back in the summer!
- Chloe (9/5): Cosy, pet-friendly cabin, in a dreamy location with walks galore - Exactly what you need for a little getaway into the countryside. Perfect little cabin and so peaceful.
- Rachel (10/5): Excellent location, fantastic host and really nice bespoke cabin. - Great location for walking the hills and local towns.
Clean and comfy, very well thought out cabin with everything we needed.
Clearly a lot of time, effort and care went into the internal design and finish which was really appreciated.
The host Trevor was friendly and welcoming, with some great tips on where to eat and visit. It was little cold in the morning but we expected that in a cabin in the winter and wasn’t a problem but bring warm clothes if you’re coming winter season. (Trevor did light the stove for us before we came back in the afternoon which was a really nice touch).
- Jack (10/5): Excellent stay - Very cosy and excellent host Could be a bit cleaner
- Kerri (8/5): Lovely relax and chilled weekend - It was a perfect spot to relax Nothing
- Rebecca (8/5): Very good -
- Tanya (9/5): Superb -
- Alan (9/5): Superb -
- Margaret (10/5): A great weekend stay in the cosy cabin - The cabin was tastefully furnished & well maintained. The friendly host met us & had already lit the stove, so a very warm welcome. There's a great pub 10 minutes walk away. Nothing
- Craig (10/5): Had a lovely, relaxing stay at this beautiful cabin. Great hosts who left us to it but were there if we needed them for a - Quiet
Cosy
Log burner
Relaxing Nothing
- Andrew (8/5): Very good - Tom's cabin is located in the countryside with ample parking for vehicles which is always a bonus. On arrival we were met by the host who gave us a quick tour of the facilities then left us to our own devices. The cabin is compact (it's a cabin after all) but had everything a couple could need for a short break and we really liked the log burner in the lounge. Smart TV fitted which enabled access to streaming channels (always a bonus) and we binge watched several tv series in the evenings with the log burner lit. Compact but well appointed kitchen area with a very efficient microwave / combi oven. I hadn't spotted that the bed had a high foot end on it which I normally avoid as I can't sleep on my front but other than that the bed was comfortable. Could do with some external PIR lighting after dark as it's a short but dark walk from the car park area to the lodge.
- Timothy (10/5): A great break - Great location, cosy, log burner, local pub, veranda to sit out, great countryside view. Nothing.
- Nicholas (8/5): Very good - lovely location, very comfy bed Only form of heating was log burning stove
- Barnes (10/5): Exceptional - The location and the host Trevor was helpful and communative without being overwhelming Nothing
- Mark (8/5): Mark and julie honest review - Log burner cosy living room sitting watching world go by nice view towels decent size usb port for charging loved little extra touches such as decor Kitchen facilities not the best for cooking bathroom nothing to hold on in shower nothingto put products in the shower shower floor very slippery
- Dougal (9/5): Lovely spot. Nice comfortable cabin - Very friendly host, came up trumps every time we asked for anything
- Hartwell (5/5): Ok stay for a night or two - Location was good, bed very comfortable and shower was excellent. Decor was in keeping with the style of cabin. Horrendous sewage smell outside which meant you couldn't sit outside. Not secure for the dog. Some cleanliness issues and didn't expect to find dirt and a durex packet under our bed. Bathroom was very clean however.
- Michael (9/5): Excellent cabin and location -
- Michelle (8/5): Lovely comfy cabin - Lovely little cabin with everything you could need for a short break. We love the area. The bed was really comfortable. If you don‘t like the sound of a rooster crowing early in the morning then this place is not for you :)
- Mark (8/5): Great walking base - Good location for walking Malvern hills. Trevor was most helpful. Would stay again NA
- Vikki (10/5): Exceptional - Great location, clean cabin, was met by the owner as soon as I pulled up. Nothing
- Adam (10/5): Exceptional - We absolutely loved the cabin. It seems that everything had been thought of and it was very well equipped. Great detailing too. We could let the dogs loose without worry and they loved the little garden out front which also looked onto the side of a hill.
Very comfortable and a great pub less than ten minutes walk away. Tewkesbury and Malvern and other attractions all close by. We could have easily stayed longer.
Definitely recommended. Nothing to dislike
- Shona (8/5): Very good -
- Jo (8/5): Malvern break - Perfect base to explore the local area, lovely pub just 5 mins walk away. The cabin had everything we needed and was very peaceful Can be tricky to find initially
- Barbara (9/5): Lovely cabin in a great countryside location for visiting The Malverns - Absolutely loved the cabin and ideal for our walking holiday in The Malverns. Great location out in the countryside. The decor of the cabin (we stayed in Tom) and facilities exceeded our expectations. Waking up and being able to watch the birds going about their day in the field opposite us while lying in bed drinking tea was a small pleasure ! Wi-fi was a little slow but no more than you would expect in the countryside. Us townies are used to ultra fast full fibre broadband :)
- Graeme (8/5): Very good -
- Ellie (9/5): Very lovely - The location, fairy lights, it was very comfortable. Hosts were very friendly. There was a leak in the lounge when there was rain. We had left some things on the floor - if we’d have know this was a possibility we would have moved them.
- Thomas (8/5): Many thanks Trevor,we wouldn't hesitate visiting again. - Location and host, exceptional Probably not the fault of the host, but couldn't find plug for sink.
Wasted a lot of water doing dishes.
Otherwise couldn't fault facilities.
- Pamela (9/5): Fantastic stay in Malvern Hills - Beautiful location. Lovely clean property and friendly helpful owner
- Ruth (10/5): Would stay there again - Loved the location as it was very easy for us to get to everywhere we wanted to go. The bed was very comfortable and the kitchen facilities were good for a few nights away. The shower was lovely! I found the sink area difficult to use as nowhere to drain things but understand it being a small space so wasn't too much of an issue.
- Stephanie (10/5): Will be back … - Was cosy, lovely views to wake up to off the cows. The host had lit the fire for us on arrival which was just lovely
- Callie (10/5): Beautiful cabin stay - will definitely return - It was stunning! Such a pretty location and the cabin was really lovely inside and out. I loved sitting on the terrace with the gorgeous view. Trevor was very friendly and was great with our dog Bella. A great place for an unwind and great for dogs. We loved it and will definitely return. Nothing
- Tracey (10/5): Perfect - Location was perfect and the host was on hand for any questions although we didn't have any. We'll be back There wasn't anything we didn't like
- Kay (10/5): Cosy..relaxing...beautiful cabin and countryside.. - Location was great....Cabin was set in lovely surroundings....Cabin was so cosy and had everything you needed for a lovely stay...
- Suzy (10/5): Perfect little cabin, dog friendly, garden and parking. Has everything you need! - Great little cabin - clean, comfortable and warm, despite the rain! The log burner easily warmed all the rooms. Shower room was lovely, and the kitchen had everything you needed. Being able to have breakfast on the porch/balcony was lovely too. Bed was very comfy with soft, warm bedding and nice pillows. Trevor, our host, was there when we needed him (which was only for check in and check out) and very friendly. The garden in front of the cabin was gorgeous and the whole place was quiet and peaceful...even the 4am rooster calls didn't disturb us for long! The cabin was also dog friendly, which meant our two woofers could join us as well. Car parking space right by the cabin, so no need to lug bags for miles. Nothing!
- Kelly (10/5): Exceptional - What a beautiful little gem !! So quiet and tranquil. The cabin was beautiful inside and out and had everything we needed and more. The bed was super comfortable, the shower was powerful and hot. The gardens were very well maintained and decorated .... the only downside was it was really sunny so we had no use for the log burner!! So we are planning to return on a cold frosty weekend just so we can enjoy the log burner !! Great access to the malvern hills !! Cannot fault the place at all. Stunning !!
- Paul (10/5): A lovely stay in a very rural setting, but local public house a few hundred away. - Self-catering, which is what we like. As we arrived on a Sunday following Malvern flower festival, few local shops open late [nearest Upton Coop].
However, friendly owner gave us some milk for monday morning to save a trip. No negative issues
- Susan (10/5): Peaceful relaxing stay in a cosy cabin 😊 - Lovely cabin with wonderful view and very relaxing. The owner Trevor was there when I arrived and explained everything, even had the log burner lit. Nothing was too much trouble and only had to text him if I had a question.
- Fred (10/5): Outstanding venue with a amazing friendly host -
- Juliet (9/5): Lovely property with pretty views. Very comfortable and extremely helpful and friendly host. Recommend - Cosy little cabin, lovely little fire which warms whole property. Bed super comfortable. Host is really friendly and helpful.
- Gemma (10/5): Cosy, homely, beautiful cabin set in lovely countryside (with a very comfortable bed!). - The cabin was really cosy and homely. Our host, Trevor, had lit a fire for us before our arrival. The cabin had everything we needed. It was set in beautiful hills with lots of attractions / towns etc a close drive away. There was a local pub within walking distance. The bed was so comfortable with lovely, soft linen! When my partner and I couldn't light the fire, Trevor came to sort it out for us. Nothing was too much trouble for him.
- Michelle (10/5): Just absolutely fantastic, tranquil stay - If I could give 6 stars we would.
What can I say but absolutely fantastic stay. The can itself is beautiful…spacious and great amenities. The cabin was so cosy and was lovely just overlooking the views in the morning just watching the world go by. As for the bed…the only problem I had with this was not wanting to get out of it!! The bed was just divine and I had the best sleep I had in a very long time!
Trevour the host was fantastic…what a lovely man! Trevor was a property when we arrives and assisted with anything we needed from knowledge of the local area to offering to start out fire up…and he was just an overall lovely, welcoming chap.
Just to add…the little extra such as tea, coffee and biscuits was a great touch! I already can’t wait to come back here again! Absolutely nothing!
- Jessica (10/5): A relaxing stay in the Malvern Hills - The Tom Cabin has everything you need for a few days away. It is beautifully decorated throughout and the facilities are fantastic - everything has been thought of to make your stay easy. We cooked on our first night with ease using the induction hob and microwave. The log burner makes it a cosy place to stay. You have views of the garden and countryside from the living area and bedroom. We found the stay to be peaceful and relaxing - just what we needed!
The location is excellent for accessing the local area. We enjoyed walks to British Camp and Hollybush. There are longer walking routes directly from the cabins or you can drive and park nearby. There are several local pubs and Great Malvern is a short drive away.
Trevor is a brilliant host, he is full of local knowledge and suggestions for places to go and things to do. He showed us how everything worked in the cabin and made sure the fire was going for the evening. He is on hand via text if needed throughout the stay.
We highly recommend visiting and can’t wait to come again!
- Gary (10/5): Exceptional - Couldn't fault this place, beautiful location, very peaceful and quiet, with lovely views, amenities all within a few minutes drive.the owner Trevor was extremely helpful and polite, with two gorgeous dogs.the lodges were very clean and well maintained and looked relatively new.i couldn't fault this place, this was easily a 10/10.and also free parking very next to the lodges. Honestly nothing, everything was perfect.
- Simon (10/5): Cosy little cabin with everything we needed. - The small cabin, in a private corner of the owner's property is well thought out and has everything you need. Its nice to stay in a small property where the bedroom, living room and kitchen are separate but you still have plenty of room. Bed is very comfortable and all furniture and fittings are of good quality. A useable shaving mirror above the sink is something you don't see very often, (thank you!) but shows how well the owners have thought about the accommodation provided.
Trevor the host is very welcoming and knowledgeable about the local area and only a text away if you need anything. The Farmers Arms is lovely traditional pub just a few minutes walk up the road. Nothing!
- Carly (10/5): 10/10 will come again :) - Clean, comfortable, nice area and lovely hosts Nothing
- Eric (9/5): Ideal accommodation for 2 people and their pets. - Ideal location for us, having been here last year so we know the area Friendly host. Nothing.
- Abbigail (10/5): Would definitely recommend - The instructions to the cabin are clear, it is easy to find and there is parking on site.
On arrival, the host Trevor was very welcoming and attentive, supplying us with all the information that we needed. This included recommending local walks which is always great when you don't know the area.
We also got a tour of the cabin and advice for keeping the fire (which he had started) warm throughout the night.
The facilities are great, with everything you could need. A beautiful finish and great surroundings in the countryside. The log burner provides wonderful ambience and also all the heat you could need (although there are alternative heating options if you prefer not to use the log burner).
Shower is lovely and plenty of hot water. Bedroom big enough, and bed is one of the comfiest I've ever slept in! Good WiFi, a television and books provided if you prefer to read (always a nice option).
Felt very welcome, and Trevor was very responsive if we had a request (can just text him) which put our minds at ease.
Would definitely stay again, an absolute wonderful two nights in Malvern. Very happy with the stay.
- Nicolas (8/5): Relaxing and revitalising - Lovely and cosy...Fantastic host.
Warm despite the winds and good shower The cabin is ideal for light meals and we wanted to cook...We should have asked more questions in this area. Instruction manual for microwave./ oven
- Raluca (10/5): Exceptional -
- Broderick (9/5): Everything we expected and wanted - Very comfy and quiet All fine
- Christine (9/5): Cosy -
- Robert (9/5): Superb -
- Paul (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kerry (10/5): Outstanding host and exceptional value for money. - Owner of the property was waiting.
- Julie (10/5): Fabulous stay! - Excellent host, beautifully located. Very comfortable cabin There was quite a few cobwebs and spiders but this was a cabin in the countryside and certainly didn’t deter us.
- Patrick (10/5): Stunning - Excellent location for exploring the local area, peaceful apart from the cockerel but didn't spoil the trip, the local pub within walking distance who made you welcome and served good food.
- Paul (9/5): Loved our stay. - A lovely rural location with good pub close by. The cabin was very comfortable and spotless. We really enjoyed our time there. The area next to the cabins could be improved but didn't stop our beautiful views.
- Eric (9/5): Very enjoyable, would go there again! - Ideal location for malvern showground. Welcoming host, lovely setting [and peaceful!]. Nothing.
- Lesley (8/5): Ideal rural get away for dog lovers! - Liked the cabins style accommodation. Garden space at the front. Rural setting. Friendly warm greeting from Trevor. Nice having walks nearby to millpond and the pub. No operating instructions. No plug for sink. No bread knife. Fan didn't work.
- Johanna (10/5): Will be going back to this little gem. If you need to de-stress & relax this is the perfect place - Beautiful bespoke cabin in a beautiful location. Trevor the owner is just brilliant!!! Nothing
- Christine (10/5): A perfect little hideaway. - it was lovely, very individual, comfortable and clean. Everything was provided that we could need. we really enjoyed our stay. There was nothing.
