• Eevi (7/5): Beautiful view from an apartment that needs an update - The view is fantastic and the apartment cozy. The bed is comfortable. The location is nice with a couple of excellent restaurants and cafés nearby. There are also a bakery and a supermarket closeby. It is a short taxiride from the centrum (Chiado, Baixa) and the taxis are cheap if you use apps like Bolt or Uber. We didn't walk because of the steep hills. The apartment, the furniture and the textiles are worn out. It wasn't very clean, and we found hair on the bathroom floor. The shower was not working properly, the water turned cold just after a couple of minutes, and the drain was partially clogged. It smelled really bad in the bathroom. The towel was frayed. The duvet and the pillow didn't fit in the covers. The filter bags didn't fit the filter coffee maker, and the Nescafe Dolce Gusto machine was leaking. We had to buy more toiletpaper and coffee at the end of our 5-night-stay. There were not enough dishes and the wine glasses (there were only two glasses) were different pairs. All in all, it seemed like everything was bought cheaply from Ikea years ago, and nothing had been updated since. The defects are not repaired (I had read in earlier reviews on Airbnb about the smelly bathroom and the drain, and the issues still haven't been fixed). In conclusion, this apartment is for you if you’re ready to compromise on comfort, cleanliness and functionality in exchange for a beautiful view and a nice location.
