Guest Reviews

- Joan (9/5): - Being in the country and the room the house provided was perfect
- Julie (9/5): Highly recommend - Quiet and clean! Had everything we needed for our group! Clean
- Clare (10/5): We had a lovely stay. - We loved the garden and spaciousness of the home.
- Elisabeth (10/5): Overall this place was a great spot to stay not far from Galway city and the host was very communicative. The beds were - The yard was beautiful and the home was very spacious! The one shower that didn’t drain well had mold.
- Ross (4/5): Not Impressed - A working, easy to operate washing machine and dryer was a bonus. A fully equipped kitchen to service a family was a necessity considering the remote location. The house was not well maintained, blinds were water stained and mouldy. Did not appreciate being charged €100 for an aged blind that when touched, disintegrated. Bedroom floor not level, had a noticable slope when walking on it. Dining room wooden floor weather damaged, needs to be refinished. The outside grounds had not been weeded for some time. Out of the three bathrooms, only one was fully operational. Would I recommend this property, no.
- Beth (10/5): -
- Dapo (9/5): Indeed a charming home - Well equipped and spacious.
Host provided a lot of relevant information Nothing not to like. It was slightly remote but that has its advantages.
A welcome pack would have been nice considering we arrived late
- Dean (10/5): Our family of 6 enjoyed a fantastic stay at this beautiful gem of a home just outside Galway and in a great location for - The location, the surrounding area, the number of bedrooms and bathrooms, the kitchen and living spaces, all were fantastic! Nothing, it was grand!!
- Denison (10/5): Exceptional - Loved being in the country.
Very spacious.
- Sadia (8/5): Loved the home and surrounding, courteous host, but the construction noise was disappointing - Location on the lake Very loud construction noise from very early in the morning everyday.
- Suzette (9/5): We loved it! - Our sons and their spouses are based in Ireland and The Netherlands respectively; we are from South Africa. We stayed in Dublin and then travelled to Galway. We were SO impressed with the property - it really catered for a family. The house was neat and tidy; the kitchen was well equipped and we loved the setting. We would love to go back in summer. Maybe add a washing machine?
- Peter (1/5): Bad -
- James (10/5): Exceptional - We found the home exactly as described. The host was excellent with communication and quickly responded to the couple of questions that I had. The kitchen was outfitted well, and we were able to make breakfast for 8 the couple of days we stayed. Thoroughly enjoyed our time there, wish we could have stayed longer! Only a slight issue with one of the showers that was slow to drain, but the host fully explained that prior to our arrival.
- Estelle (10/5): Perfect. Thank you for such a lovely stay! - Stunning house in a stunning location. Absolutely everything you could need was provided, plus the host was thoughtful enough to leave a wee card, flowers and wine. The attention to detail was exceptional. Nothing to mention apart from the weather. I don't suppose any host can do much about that!
- Mccready (9/5): Superb - It was spacious and welcoming
Lovely house that had charm Generally happy with ecerything
- Elizabeth (10/5): truly charming, quiet and comfortable well-appointed home! - the castle, cows, and fox out back nothing
- Peter (9/5): Superb -
- John (8/5): Very good -
- Thomas (9/5): We had a most enjoyable stay with plenty of room for the five of us. Really comfortable. - Directions to the property could be more clear. It is some distance from Galway and not all sat navs use the same systems.
- Cameron (10/5): We feel we got an opportunity to experience Irish life in Ireland. Very happy with experience. - After spending 4 days in City Central Dublin, this out of the way house was a pleasure to stay at. We got a chance to do laundry and spend some family time together instead of all going their separate ways like we did in the big cities. It was still close enough to Galway that we could get to our tour within 30 minutes, and was easy to find. Everyone was impressed.
- Sivickas (10/5): Exceptional - Property was clean and the way I expected to be was feeling like my own home! Very nice place to stay and spacious home!
- William (9/5): Superb - Very spacious and good facilities. Lovely view out to some ruins.
- Kevin (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely house. Owner was very accommodating. Left a bottle of wine and a box roses as a welcome for us. 10/10
- Gerard (10/5): Perfect - Lovely home suited our needs down to a tee. Two young families with kids. Suited a 4 year old 8 year old and a 13 year old. Plenty of room for the adults. Can't think of anything that wasn't to our expectations. Maybe the showers but that was only because I had ran a marathon and was in a world of pain 😮.
- Susan (9/5): Superb -
- John (7/5): Good -
- Brett (8/5): Very good - Spacious accommodation with great facilities for our group. Little bit far from city centre but prebooked a taxi in and out so was OK for us.
