• Aleksandar (10/5): Donizetti's apartment is a great place to stay while in Bergamo - Apartment was great, spacious, with a solid kitchen, a large bathroom, and a quaint balcony. But the best of all, it was located very near the pedestrian zone,, which was also pretty near the main bus & train stations (about 15m of walking). The funicular that leads to the upper old town was also very near, maybe 10m of walking. Overall, very nice and cozy place to stay when visiting Bergamo. Don't have any negatives, maybe one thing if I'm being picky, that others have mentioned too - the loud fan in the bathroom; but honestly, it didn't bother us that much.

• Adam (10/5): Great location in the center. Good price. Fine choice. - Great location in the center of the 'not so tourist part of the city', near bus stops and not far from train station. Good price. Fine choice. A welcoming coffee set and water awaits you on arrival, that's nice. Well, I'd refurbish the bathroom a bit:) the ventilator in the bathroom is extremely noisy, the doors are too, so it's a bit noisy to go to toilet at night. Bathtub is probably also leaking a bit because a wet spot appears on the floor. Paint on the walls also doesn't seem to be waterproof.

• Anna (10/5): Exceptional - The apartment was comfortable and specious with all needed things. The location is absolutely greaty -it is about 10 minutes from station and 15 minutes to Old Bergamo. Also contact with host was very good, he was available under the phone by all the time during our visit on case of any questions. I can recommend this apartment.

Online check in is easy and comfortable to be able to come according to your own schedule. The accommodation responds to messages quickly and helps if necessary. Lovely little balcony. • Dirk (8/5): Very friendly and helpful owner. Great location which needs just a bit of improvement. - The location was very central in a nice old building with a glass elevator. The little balcony was a nice extra and the aircon inside worked very well and made us feel comfortable. The door is very safe which we also liked. The neighborhood was great with some cool bars and restaurants for Aperitivo and the main shopping district nearby. We were happy to not stay in the old town uphill. We also found all amenities we needed and it was very nice to have the possibility for early check in. Thanks again for that! Chairs in the kitchen are very low quality and already a bit torn. The bed was way too soft which made my back hurt a lot during my stay. The bathroom had a bit of mold at the sealing of the tub and the tub also leaks a bit into the direction of the toilet. The ventilation in the bathroom is very loud and noisy. If the first person get up and goes to the toilet, everyone was woken up. These things are a bit of is a pity since the overall accommodation and location was great and the owner was very fast, helpful and friendly. I would definitely stay here again if these (really) minor things would be improved.
• Kameliya (9/5): One very nice apartment - The location is perfect, close to the train station, the city centre and the old city. The communication with the host, the check in experience, the nice gesture with water waiting for us in the fridge, all is to be recommended. The apartment has all the amenities one would need even for a longer stay. In order to use the bathroom, one must pass through the bedroom, which would not be OK if you're a group of friends, for example. The bathroom fan needs a replacement with a quieter one for sure.

• Kenneth (9/5): Nice apartment at a very good location - The location was perfect for us, both for sightseeing in the city center, but also for bus and train rides to Como. The area was good for eating out and still quiet after coming home. The balcony is big enough for having a glass of wine in the evening. Kitchen had all necessary equipment. The owner was very helpful, both during checking, but also calling to ensure that we had a good stay. The ventilator in the bathroom is very noisy. The hot plates works very oddly. When we turned one up, then the other one automatically turned down. We could not use them all at the same time. None of these things was very important for us and we would definately book this apartment again, when/if we get back to Bergamo.

• Emilie (9/5): Superb - Location was great and in a calm neighbourhood, the flat perfectly furnished with everything we needed, including nespresso capsules for our morning coffee and 2 small bottles of water in the big fridge :) Some dishwashing product was missing when we arrived, so we asked the host who immediately brought us some. Amazing ! As we were cooking in the flat, we were washing dishes and would've liked to have at least one kitchen towel. The host explained he proposes single use kitchen paper as a more hygienic solution. Fair enough, but not so practical / sustainable. The only one pan (there is a wok as well) is a bit burnt in the middle, maybe replacing it and adding a smaller one would be a good option.

This property can’t be sold for 4 adults because it’s impossible to sleep on living room coach which is 1st. too short 2nd it’s breaking the back because of wooden thing in the middle. Sleepless night for 2 adults on this. Didn’t like and trust vickey check in system. Please change it to something different in future.
• Peter (7/5): acceptable 5-day holiday stay in Bergamo - Donizetti apartment is located in the central part of the citta bassa of Bergamo, not that far away from the citta alta, the impressive, high, mediaeval part of Bergamo that is surrounded by walls and fortifications, created centuries ago. Before booking Donizetti's we have also considered alternative lodgings. However, it is not easy to get a - 4th floor apartment in a 19th century building with lift; excellent location for exploring Bergamo (see pictures; the apartment is at the back of the building on the picture). - Offers complete although simple kitchen facilities and everything was in working order. - Renovated some 20 years ago, kitchen seems rather new, airco and updated electricity. - The owner Christian is a nice young person, although he lives in Brescia which means that he is not nearby if help is needed. Personally I like a bit more personal contact although Cristian was nice enough to meet for check-in, but we didn't see him again. - Not really a cosy apartment, some wear and tear, some old furniture. - No dish washer present. - The sofa bed is far from comfortable and is the only sofa available to sit. Other customers have also mentioned this, but so far this has not changed. - The bed is not comfortable and the mattress is of inferior quality. - Washing machine in working order, but no possibility to dry the wash and there is no dryer available. - Bath was leaking, we had to mop up water every time after taking a shower. I tried to understand where the water came from, and we were very careful to avoid a wet floor but did not succeed in getting it solved. - In the 40 years I have visited Italy (with some 100 addresses where we stayed) this was the first time that we were unable to leave the luggage behind and pick up later when leaving for the airport. We stayed for 5 days and it was after all not too bad, although not the special experience we hoped for. However, Bergamo is certainly worth a visit.

The host was very communicative, responded to messages quickly and also accommodated for an early check in and a late check out. This was much appreciated! The sofa bed was not very comfortable, but this was not a big issue as we only stayed for 2 days.
