- Alexandre (8/5): Very good - The hotel, its gardens and the adjacent lake are incredibly beautiful and peaceful.
Our room was stunning too.
The restaurant's chef is really good.
Sitting on a bench and watching the animals of the wildlife sanctuary was a great experience.
The hotel gardens are also full of beautiful peacocks, parakeets and desert foxes. Some of the staff were not very helpful.
Unresponsive on booking.com so call them if you need assistance before your arrival.
Room was a little dusty.
Restaurant is expensive, and there are no other options around.
Hotel is a little isolated, there is not much to do outside its walls.
- Isabell-marie (7/5): Good - Breakfast was ok. The whole areal could be cleaner. Table in the Bar was covered with dust. Here and there garbbage one the garden. All in all too expensive for what it offers
- Sekhon (10/5): Value for money - Location and breakfast were excellento Lake ciew

- Sumaer (1/5): I love this place, being an admirer of nature, wild life n old Architechture. But this time met with worst time due to p - location n Architechture is best. M regular at Gajner Palace from two devsdes. Rude staff .. poor management .. no proper bills were given to us. When I asked for detailed bills, they said pay online not cash more than 45000. I paid online .. still no hard or soft copy is provided
- Sumaer (1/5): It use to be my favourite place for decades .. but this time the management was worst - Location n Natural Beauty

- Singh (8/5): Very good -
- John (9/5): Restful place to break up the Ajmer-Jaisalmer drive - I am not aware of there being much to see in or around Gajner. It is however at the approximate half-way point if you are driving from Ajmer/Pushkar to Jaisalmer and that is the reason we made the stop. It turned out to be a highlight of a several day trip. The property with its gardens and courtyards are stunningly beautiful, peaceful, meticulously maintained and visited by all sorts of wildlife. The staff was courteous and helpful and delicious meals were served with professionalism. The guest rooms we stayed at are a little cramped, and dark (…but opened on to a lovely terrace)
- Jerome (9/5): Superb - An absolute Heaven of peace and quietness away for the City buzz.
Feels like having a secret safe heaven where to recharge.
If you enjoy reading books while sipping tea in a relaxed atmosphere, give it a go, you will only regret having to leave !
- Alok (4/5): Disappointing -
- Jagbir (8/5): Very good -
- Alok (4/5): Stay could have been better if property were maintained - The location is superb and well spread over property. The property is run down, needs proper maintenance.
Rooms 120, 121 were having foul smell, the sewage system needs complete overhaul.
Cleaning of benches, chairs etc were not satisfactory at all.
Management attention is required to up keep and proper cleanliness.
- Jatinder (10/5): Exceptional -
- Paramvir (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sigmaraj (7/5): Good - Location and property was good Bathroom and general cleanliness in the common areas there were spider webs in the lobby just outside our room
- Krati (8/5): Very good -
- Garima (6/5): Nice but food could have been improved a lot - Nice offbeat location, heritage style Food was not upto the mark, limited buffet and everything tasted sub- standard quality but highly priced.
- Ravindra (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sanjay (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful serene place to spend 3 days on bikaner away from the hustle bustle of the city . Service is very good . Lake view rooms are just awesome. Wow experience!!
- Nisha (6/5): Pleasant - Property location is great Maintenance of the property is not up to the mark
- Sharma (2/5): Leisure visit to gajner - Food was delicious The hospitality and warmth was totally missing.
The property is just out there to make money, wherein they are tagging high prices on everything and not equating it to services.
The room service was too slow or not there.
The hotel was poorly staffed.
Once we were there in billiards room, no one came for half an hour to even ask water.
The staff is just there to look after foreigners
Also the room was not cleaned as two pouches of u finished gutka packets were found in the room post check in.
The stewards in the restaurant didn't knew whether we were authorised free breakfast or not and because of their I'll knowledge we had to pay for food items which we in all cases wouldn't have ordered had they not said about complimentary breakfast.
Just making money to the extent howsoever it comes.
Will just advise everyone not to stay there but just to have food only.
Very poor show
- Patrick-fr (7/5): A place out of time - I came there 12 years ago, and in 12 years nothing has changed... it's a pity. It nevertheless remains a great place to spend a peaceful night. the bedding is not up to standard, very poor wifi connection. Lots of mosquitoes, bring repellents. Breakfast could be improved.
- Kanika (9/5): Superb -
- Anshul (10/5): Exceptional - Amazing property!!
A palace for the kings 👑 now available for common public.
A private pristine lake and palace with lots of trees. You get the feeling of being in hill station even in hot weather of august.
A perfect relaxing holiday.
- Sharad (9/5): an excellent property to enjoy a relaxing vacation away from splutter. - Its a paradise i desert like an oasis.
we enjoyed our stay. witnessing setting sun in the lake itself is extremely beautiful. Nothing in particular. one or two more eateries would have been better. some sports facilities need be installed.
- Sulab (7/5): Good -
- Nishant (8/5): Great place to escape into nature - Gajner Palace was the hunting oasis of the Maharaja(s) of Thar Desert and rightfully so. We went in the rains/monsoons and the greenery, the trees, the birds chirping, the peacocks dancing, and the blackbucks jumping away in the adjacent wildlife sanctuary - it all just takes your breath away. Its a great place to escape into nature if the weather is right. There's nothing else in the vicinity. So you have to consume food at the hotel restaurant which is fairly good but it can get monotonous eventually.
Wifi is patchy at best.
The location is a bit far off (which is the point really) and that makes finding taxis from Bikaner a bit costly. May be they could consider doing a daily shuttle to and fro from Bikaner
The staff could smile a bit more
- Sushil (9/5): Superb -
- Dr (3/5): I stayed here 14 years ago and the hotel was lovely, however, standards seem to have deterioted. -
- Jaivindra (9/5): Superb - Food, Staff behaviour and ambience Room service could be better
- Lokesh (10/5): Exceptional - Ambience
Environs
Exceptional staff
- Udita (9/5): Superb -
- Stanley (10/5): Exceptional -
- Varinder (10/5): Exceptional -
- Varinder (10/5): Exceptional -
- H (10/5): Exceptional - The place, the lake, the birds, the staff, the food... excellent
- Duleh (9/5): Superb -
- Animesh (10/5): Step into a princely past - Old world colonial charm and legacy. Get the room with lake view. Stunning is the only word that comes to mind. Thousands of water birds (including damoiselle cranes from Siberia) and parakeets; their chirps will wake you up in the morning and their plaintive horn will lull you to sleep at night. The size of the bathroom alone is the size of an average hotel room in the US. They have local musicians and dancer perform for you the evening. The scenery and the palatial compound are breathtaking.
- Bhushan (8/5): Very good -
- Parul (9/5): Superb -
- Ajay (9/5): Superb -
- D.k.gogri (1/5): Bad - V like only food.. but .it was too expensive. Location is good . Hospitality was poor, gulab nivas was alloted to us...which was pathetic, there were big cocroach in the blanket.
Bathroom was horrible, everything was broken and towels were not clean.
Hospitality has changed a lot as v had visited the property 17 years ago
- Øyvind (8/5): Very good - Super hotel, fantasy location, gardens and rooms, a place to remember for a lifetime. Bathtube very worn and dirty, food and drinks a little too expensive compared to other 5 stars in India.
- Sanjeev (2/5): bad experience - why booking taken when you have a event at the hotel. no restaurant working just isolation for yhr guest. no call pick up
- Bharat (8/5): Very good -
