Guest Reviews
- Alice (9/5): - Was comfy very clean and exceeded expectations Nothing
- STEPHEN (4/5): -
- Phillip (9/5): Great break, will stay there again - Well appointed apartment, excellent having the en-suite snd second bathroom. One reserved snd and parking for the second car available with lots of on street parking All good
- Claire (7/5): Cute tidy apartment - We liked being by the water/docks. The beds were comfortable. On suite was lovely. Peaceful and quiet neighbourhood. Lots of kitchen items. Very clean on arrival. Lovely and cosy when heating is on. Love that there was a smart tv, so plenty to watch. The beach is only around the corner. Town centre not far. There are lots of places to eat near. The block was so quiet. Which is surprisingly nice. Lovely view and walk along the promenade. Asda and morrisons are walking distance. There were no clear instructions on the recycling system there. It is communal. I contacted them with my concerns, and the response wasn't very helpful. No food waste bags provided had to get our own. The on suite had an unpleasant smell of fish coming from the sink and shower towards the end of our stay. There is not enough bedding provided for all bedrooms, one set for each. Not enough storage for clothes only one hanging rail provided for a famiky of 3 who stayed for 2 months. We bought our own and left them there. There are no instructions on how to use the washer dryer. The sofabed is warn and grubby. It is extremely cluttered for such a small apartment. There is so much going on in the kitchen that it's overwhelming. There is too much equipment and items that are not needed. It gets extremely dusty every day. Customer service is strange, I feel there is no communication between colleagues within the company. Contacting them was frustratingly annoying. I guess they are only doing their best job with the resources that are provided to them. There is too much going on in the apartment as well as within customer services, 😆
- Cpc009 (7/5): Quiet well equipped bolt hole for exploring in and around Barry Island - Quiet location, clean accommodation (with exceptions) all that waa required for a nice stay with family.. Some of the kitchen stuff was put away dirty and not enough hanging for wet towels or coats.
- Lucia (10/5): Amazing so handy with all the pots pans etc - Amazing so clean Loved it
- Denise (8/5): We enjoyed our stay overall - Good to have two bathrooms Location was a bit far to walk to island
Fridge and freezer needed defrosting
No recycling bin bags at all in the property - has to purchase our own - this was reported but had no feedback once we had left
- Ryan (8/5): Great little place to stay. - Apartment was very clean, easy to access with ample parking. Around a 15 minute walk to the beach, bars, restaurants, amusements. Supermarkets close by and good travel links with plenty of buses/trains close by.
- Molly (10/5): It’s was memorable to say the least - How spacious it felt in the flat and how it didn’t feel like we were in a hotel room worried about other guests the location was great and the handbook was very useful and easy to find things to do . Only thing was the view out one window was construction debris on the ground but it wasn’t too much of an issue as it can’t be helped
- Mr (9/5): Superb -
- Emma (6/5): Pleasant - The apartment was light and airy. Very peaceful. The docks had a lovely view from the window on one side. The cooker looked brand new. Good if you're young and healthy. 2 big bathrooms. Very spacious The floor was sticky. And dusty in the corner. I kept banging my head on the wall. There was no headboard. It's not disabled friendly. And we had to get taxis from the apartment to the beach it cost a fortune. The beach was a long way. Many migi flies in the property. There was no first aid kit. And a building site on one side of the building.
- Saera (1/5): Extremely disappointing. - Dirty sheets meant one of the beds couldn’t be used. I contacted the property owner but they did nothing about it.
Ruined what should have been a special weekend for me and my mum. Property owners very unhelpful and unclean sheets and apartment.
- Sarah (9/5): Superb -
- Richard (10/5): Will definitely come back here. Great place to stay. - Clean, spacious and suited our needs perfectly.
- Faith (1/5): Absolutely awful and not as advertised. The drinking water is mouldy. - This place is absolutely awful. There is nothing to like. It it next to a working building site not next to beach like advertised. The fridge water supply was mouldy. The blankets were old. I decided I wasnt staying. I think that booking.com had overlooked my booking as I had no correspondence prior to visit. I had to request a code for door on arrival which I was given only to enter to find property hadnt been cleaned. When I phoned for a refund and to raise my concerns about property. I got told I'd arrived too early. But still at 10mins to check in there was no cleaner it needed more than a 10mins clean. No one phoned me back until the evening. I still haven't had a refund . If I was booking.com i would remove this property from website it's going to make someone sick if they drink the water. I'm not using booking .com again. This place is absolutely awful. - Rohan (9/5): Great apartment with a superb view - Very well equipped and decorated apartment with a great view. 2 decent sized bedrooms and bathrooms. Easy to find, good location although at the end of the long road. Not much. The TV was amazing with cable channels, washing machine, fridge all appliances were amazing.
- Caroline (10/5): Brilliant stay, close to everything. Couldn’t have asked for more. - Property was spacious, really modern, clean and had everything needed.
- David (9/5): Superb - Settee turned to face the windows
- Carmen (9/5): Splendid! - We really wanted to have an accommodation near the sea, and this apartment managed to meet this condition. The apartment is intimate, clean, with many details that make the difference.
The instructions received by message were very accurate, I had no problem at check-in.
The beds are comfortable, and the equipment and facilities are exceptional.
A very nice and convenient accommodation.
Parking is included in the price and is just two steps from the door of the building. We had only one problem with the trash: although there are exact instructions in the apartment on how to sort the trash, where to take it, what code to use, the code didn't work, so we couldn't open the door where the bins were.
We didn't want to disturb the host, so we took the trash with us.
But this situation didn't bother us either, we just wanted you to know what the steps are.
- Annalisa (9/5): Superb -
- Alex (10/5): Exceptional -
- Helen (10/5): Had the most amazing weekend made even better by the apartment being fantastic! - Lovely flat with amazing views. Easy to find and access.
Everything we needed was available - towels, toiletries, coffee for the machine, condiments, tea, coffee, etc. Great hosts who replied quickly to any queries.
Definitely planning to return Nothing to dislike
- Jayne (4/5): Just not for us, sorry - 1. One duvet, the feather one, was lovely
2. Towels clean 1. The building site right next door.
2. Think it's someone home due to the bits, stuff and all the packages about - not what we were expected at all. A little strange.
3. Four of us in the 2 double bedrooms, but not 4 dinner plates available or 4 matching wine glasses.
5. Little dusty
6. No headboard in one bedroom
Maybe as we are older we expect a little more from a holiday rental.
- David (8/5): Very enjoyable, apart from the above comments would have given 10. - Interesting location immediately overlooking Barry Docks, with water views from every room. The flat was welcoming and comfortable.
Easy to find and good access to seafront, station, local supermarket and Barry town centre. Could have done with a decent set of coffee mugs and saucepans.
Also better clothes storage space and no hanging rail in one of the bedrooms.
No instructions on how to use washing machine and coffee maker.
TV didn’t work on arrival but was quickly sorted.
- Paul (8/5): Very good -
- Jason (10/5): Perfect stay to catch up with family - Great location Only 4 of things ie cups all odd need more plates and glasses
- Krystyna (8/5): Comfortable flat. - The flat was light bright and airy.
Very quiet, very clean . I wouldn't say it was near the beach.
It was quite a long walk, about 20 mins. No tin opener in the flat and the smart TV we just couldn't figure out!
Member of staff came out to help promptly.
- Lynn (10/5): Peaceful and relaxing - Nothing not to like, very peaceful, comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay.
Host responds very quickly to any queries.
- Harry (8/5): Very good -
- Ami (10/5): Exceptional -
