• Sabrina (9/5): - Sehr nette und hilfreiche Gastgeberin, welche direkt neben an wohnt. Die Unterkunft liegt wunderschön und ist sehr aufs Detail eingerichtet. Sie verfügt über alles was man benötigt. Der Aufenthalt was sensationell, ich würde auf jeden Fall wieder vorbei kommen. Die Unterkunft ist eher hellhörig, falls man einen leichten Schlaf hat.

• Sharon (10/5): Very comfortable and peaceful with excellent facilities. - Beautiful little cottage in a secure estate just outside the main town of Howick. The property was nice and close to the town and Meander highlights. Super easy to find and get in, and the host was very helpful and responsive. The only problem was the main road used to reach the property didn't have street lights, but not really something the property owner could control.

• Verushka (7/5): Comfortable - The apartment is situated in a secure estate. It is very quiet and peaceful, and there are nice grounds where you can go for a walk. The apartment is advertised as off-grid solar. We were surprised to receive a message from the host on our second day regarding high energy consumption—despite being very mindful of our usage. It turned out the issue was actually caused by guests in the main house, not us. While we appreciated the stay, it was unpleasant getting a notification like that, when all we had on were literally the lights. If you book here, just be aware that energy monitoring is very strict and can lead to some mid-stay interruptions.

• Cindy (10/5): Perfect accommodation for our short-and-sweet stay - It was spotless, well equipped and comfortable, perfectly situated for our stopover. Setting is gorgeous. Instructions and access were clear and simple.

• Angela (10/5): Fabulous, beautifully appointed open plan cottage with stunning garden and views. - Lovely, beautifully appointed cottage in a pretty country estate close to everything you need! Only 15 mins drive to Nottingham Road and all the main famous midland meander sites. So much to do in the area. Beautiful views from the cottage; lovely walks around the estate past lots of horses in paddocks and a lovely patio to have a braai. Although a bit of squeeze with 4 of us as our teenagers are older/bigger, it is an absolutely perfect space for a couple and perhaps 2 smaller toddlers for example. We definitely managed absolutely fine though and highly recommend Lisa's spot. Lisa was also very responsive and helpful. thanks for a great stay! Not a fault or complaint AT ALL as Lisa specifically wrote and warned us that she felt the sleeper couch might be a bit of a squeeze for our two large teenagers. One ended up sleeping on the sofa itself and the other on the pull out sofa mattress on the floor so we managed perfectly just means you have to pack away the sleeper couch each day if you want to use the 'lounge/TV' space in the day. No complaints at all though - loved this cottage and spot!

• ayanda (9/5): 👌 Superb - It’s off the grid, eco friendly, safe and clean. It is self catering as well and private. If you love nature the view from the cottage is exceptional. It’s a lovely place honestly. It is a good place for some quiet time and if you want to get some work done. Probably not a good idea for little children, as they may want to run all over the place. It can get a bit chilly at night, a covered car port would be great, but not a train smash.

• Janine (8/5): - The estate is quiet and secure. The parking space is close to the door and big enough for my big van. The host is friendly and spoiled us with filter coffee, nougat and rusks. We stayed for four days while working at the Hilton Arts Festival. Our towels did not dry during the day, so fresh towels or a towel rack is a must for long stays. The sleeper couch was uncomfortable.

The farm was beautiful, the cottage and hospitality exceeded my expectations and everything was well thought out by our host Lisa and family. The farm had amazing views and areas to walk/jog, cute horses and animals, no noise disturbances it was dead quite and we slept like babies. There were 2 cute dogs on premises they were friendly and met us a few times. We definitely recommend this place should you come to Howick, the location is great for all sightseeing and travel, it's super secured. It does get very dark at night but there were touches and lights. Super eco-friendly with recycling, solar and gas. The TV had everything we needed and we will definitely be back soon....Thank you! Wifi, Youtube and Netflix a bonus!! Lisa even sent us a gas heater for the chilly nights. We had a very comfortable stay highly recommendable.

The cottage is set on a beautiful estate just off the N3 which helped to navigate as we are not from the area. The decor and furniture are exceptional and Lisa put thought into every single element... Chocolates on the bed, rusks and various complementary beverages and the cottage is well equipped with everything needed for a comfy stay. The welcome book, hot water bottles and blankets were an extra touch that came in very handy. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED and looking forward to having friends and family who want to take a break during the long N3 trip visit. The cottage is exceptional value for money and Lisa was a text away to answer and assist with anything we needed to know.... A real standard that all hospitality facilities should emulate. I loved everything about our stay. Looking forward to returning again very soon.
