Guest Reviews
- Hannah (10/5): A great stay with everything we needed. Thank you! - Very close proximity to the places we were visiting. Spacious property and super quiet! Nothing!
- Tina (10/5): Lovely little place - Being able to sit under the lean-to on the swinging chair of an evening while the dogs could happily run around the garden safely I liked it all
- Sparky (10/5): -
- Glen (10/5): Very quiet and comfortable accommodation. - Very comfortable bungalow. Excellent value. All good.
- Wendy (9/5): Cute and cosy - It’s really cosy and feels quite modern
- Amber (10/5): Lovely little hideaway - Lovely place too stay very clean gorgeous apartment well worth the money was lovely too be able too bring my dog 🐶 thanks for a great stay Nothing
- Guest (10/5): -
- Hayley (10/5): Perfect stay - Self service allowed us to arrive late without bothering anyone. That we had to leave! Gorgeous accommodation, would definitely use again.
- Steve (9/5): Great little place to stay at very dog friendly. - Perfect place to go to if you have a dog and near the beach. The rooms were perfect. Lovely and cosy. Fully equipped with everything in the kitchen. The little extras for the humans and dog was a really nice touch. Good Chinese nearby also. Good dog run with the gates closed also. Nothing at all.
- Linzi (10/5): Home from home, cosy, would definitely recommend and be more than happy to stay again - It was very welcoming with kitchen essentials provided such as tea and coffee and the complimentary chocolate and dog biscuits were a lovely thoughtful touch.
Bedding/ throws/ towels were all provided A few spare pillows would be advisable for the future but didn’t impact our stay
- Ola (10/5): - Quiet and very serene area. 10mins walk to the event we went to great yarmouth for.
Clean and very cute bungalow, literally home away from home. Nothing
- Gareth (10/5): -
- Wendy (9/5): Everything we needed - Lovely little cottage with all the amenities you need . Kitchen was fully equipped, bed was so comfy. Lovely shower/wet room and comfy lounge. Safe frontage for dogs as there are double gates to make secure. Our only criticism was the drive down to the cottage, which is a long gravel /dirt road, but not really a problem. We will definitely stay again. N/A
- Wheelan (8/5): - Lovely clean very comfortable, nice and private
- David (8/5): -
- martin (9/5): Really liked it and will definitely use again - Private , quiet but near to everywhere we wanted to go and private parking was a bonus. Clean and in great condition Nothing
- Lucy (10/5): Lovely chilled weekend away…❤️ - Our second stay here with our 2 spaniels, for 3 nights this time over bank holiday, we absolutely love it.
We like the area, the privacy of the place & the fact we can securely park our car & our dogs have a little safe space too.
It has everything we need, beach for long dog walks, 2 local pubs, both usually have live music… excellent Chinese takeaway at the end of the lane & lots more options.
A few shops in the village too.
We parked our car Friday evening & didn’t get in it again til Monday morning… we came to chill…spent our days down the beach, our afternoons in the pub & evenings on the patio.
The accommodation is beautifully equipped & clean, excellent value.
If we had more available time we’d be back again this year… but definitely next… ❤️ Nothing
- Matthew (7/5): Cozy, clean and dog friendly - Clean and well equipped A bit small for 3 adults and a dog
- Paul Mezen (8/5): We loved it and would definitely stay again - A really lovely place to stay.. very private.
Lovely little patio to enjoy in the evening I personally found bed uncomfortable
- Guest (10/5): Excellent. - It was perfect for a little get away me and my partner felt so welcomed and it was so quiet and peaceful.
The whole place was beautiful.
Very good for Money and very good for a little getaway.
The location was great right out the way from people.
- brentonalex (8/5): Homely, cosy, quiet apartment perfect for summer getaway - Courtyard was lovely to use in the evening, location was quiet and dogs have an area to run around in, very comfortable bed and a good kitchen all the little things were covered which you wouldn't expect, tea, coffee, milk, dog biscuits it was very welcoming and homely we loved it.
Location is down a back dirt road which is very safe, gate can be closed for drive way and there are cameras very secluded, perfect for summer time and sitting outside in the evening Plums fallen down from tree brought endless fruit flies which was a little annoying but can't be helped, some of apartment falling apart, skirting in bedroom and bathroom fallen off.
Not a winter place, no outdoor heater and Inside really only big enough for 2 people to sit
- Dannielle (9/5): Great short stay - Great place for a night near to many lovely areas in Suffolk Exactly as advertised
- Jackson (9/5): Superb -
- Neil (8/5): We were very pleased with the bungalow and we would definitely stay there again - Very modern, clean and comfortable The access road was bumpy and could be better, but manageable.
- Patricia (8/5): Convenient location for exploring area and affordably priced. - Most aspects of accommodation. An oven would have been good. Bought in pizzas from Coop on first night to discover there was no oven, just hob & microwave. Somewhat odd as dishwasher and washing machine provided in kitchen.
- Dee (9/5): Superb -
- Kim (8/5): Very good -
- Lucy (10/5): Lovely accommodation - We absolutely loved it, decided on a quick 1 night getaway over bank holiday after realising we had quite a rare 2 days off together… booked quite last minute & was able to take our 2 spaniels.
The accommodation is gorgeous, very clean & comfortable… the little outside area is lovely to sit on in the evening with a glass of wine.
Everything has been thought of & it’s a clever use of space.
We know the area very well… made good use of our overnight stay… fish & chips at Aldeburgh on the way up… Southwold on the way back…
The local pub had a band on, on the Sunday afternoon & we were very lucky with the weather, had a lovely afternoon sitting outside there.
We loved it so much, booked it again for 3 nights next time.
Yes there’s a car wash next door, but didn’t bother us at all, we loved the location, tucked away, it was very peaceful at night. Nothing.
- Paul (10/5): Great time, would definitely stay again. - Lovely location, short walk from beach and very accommodating host. Perfect. N/A
- Shirley (10/5): Exceptional -
- Abi (8/5): Very good - Was quiet, had everything we needed for one night, little things had been thought of including children’s plates/bowls/cutlery which was really useful Nothing
- Thomas (10/5): Relaxing, comfortable and very enjoyable - Great location, quiet, walking distance to beach but best of all dog friendly. Double bed was a bit small.
- Pretty (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kelly (9/5): Quality accommodation - Spotlessly clean with everything you need for a weekend away. Lovely little personal touches and great decor. Comfy bed, plenty of hot water. Private and secure. Very responsive hosts, sorted out a little unexpected plumbing issue swiftly. Perfect for us and our dogs, and we would book again if we came back to the area. Kessingland Beach is in walking distance, and Cowhithe and Southwold are a short drive away. This property is also wheelchair friendly with a wet room and hand rails, ramp access, and space. Well stocked local shop and places to eat close by. It wasn't an issue for us, but this is not a "room with a view.'' However, it was peaceful at night, and we came to the area to see the sights rather than stay indoors.
- Lloyd (10/5): Awesome little place - Great little converted garage with private parking. Great host. Spotlessly clean.
- Gabriela (10/5): Thank you we had lovely time 🐶 - Lovely little bungalow.
- Waters (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely private property, off the beaten track
Comfortable and cozy with some extra cute touches (gingerbread men).
Local shop at the end of the road, lots of local fast food options.
Beautiful beach a short walk It was perfect
- Glenna (9/5): We enjoyed a night away in a small beach town at a lovely cottage tucked away on a quiet street. - The apartment was clean and well equipped. It included everything we needed for our overnight stay. Hosts were available and responded promptly to our needs. When there was one small issue with the bathroom, it was addresssed and resolved imediately. nothing
- Daisy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Briony (7/5): Now we know how to get to the property we would happily stay again - The location was perfect for us as we were attending the Southwold dachshund walk. There were shops and pubs nearby The property was very well kitted out with everything you would need and it was very clean. Outside security light going on and off all night disturbed our sleep. The property was very difficult to find as we went to the owners house as that was the address we were given and then had to go on a mystery tour to find the actual place we were staying in.
- Redzimska (10/5): Exceptional - Thank you for the beautiful welcome... We are surprised how beautiful this place is and how perfectly prepared everything is...We will be back ❤️...
- Melanie (8/5): All good - Few issues with WiFi initially
- Alyson (10/5): Compact and perfect home from home - It was welcoming and personalised with dog and human treats on arrival. It had everything you needed and was in a quiet location. Perfect for a short or long stay as everything you needed was thought of and provided. Parking very close and driveway gated to keep doggies safe. Nothing really.
- Abi (10/5): Perfect hideaway place to stay. -
- Graham (10/5): Super night away - Very impressed, this was a great place to stay, everything exactly as described. The hosts have thought of everything guests need from kitchen utensils and herbs/spices to extra cushions and blankets.
We really liked the decor also, and the hosts have made such great use of the space available. Our son loved the hanging chair and our little dog loved the outdoor space (we could close the gate and let him roam).
We will be returning again :) Nothing
- Rebecca (9/5): It was perfect for what we needed which was a dog friendly place to stay for a night - It was a great little bolt hole, very private and spotlessly clean with treats for us and our little dog on arrival. There wasn’t anything I didn’t like, but if I had been staying a bit longer, maybe access to more entertainment facilities or information, however I was only staying 1 night
- Dave (9/5): Top notch apartment. The small things the owner had organised made the difference. -
- Patrycja (7/5): Good - Location as next to petrol station and on the back of local houses and businesses.
Bedroom and bathroom window were looking straight into someone's garden. Felt like have been observed all the time.
- Nicola (10/5): Exceptional -
- Emma (10/5): Amazing! Would recommend ! - Lovely spacious area - perfect with our little dog tucked away and great location near the beach.
Lovely welcome sign and small details from owner which really made a difference! Highly recommend! The stay was amazing but the drive is quite tight to park car on but tbh that wasn’t a problem
- Miguel (9/5): Superb -
- Michael (10/5): Great little place - Great communication with the owner,
I booked this as a surprise for my partners birthday. The owner went above and beyond for me. She got the bottle of wine and box of chocolates I asked her to try and get and had also put out banners etc.
Lovely and cosy and so well decorated. Would stay again! Unfortunately there is a car wash close by and was a bit noisy when we arrived but obviously this is no fault of the owner and we soon switched off from it. It wasn't bad enough to ruin our stay and we still really enjoyed the trip.
- David (10/5): An oasis - another world - perfect in every way. - Wonderful!
I was not expecting such a lovely, secluded and private apartment just off the High Street in Kissingland.
Everything was perfect with so many thoughtful little touches.
And such a lovely, warm welcome from Justyna. Nic. Nothing. Nadia. Zero. Zilch.
- Stewart (10/5): Beautifully decorated & furnished chalet in Kessingland - Sweet, modern, beautifully furnished & decorated 1 b/r chalet, with patio. Reached down a dirt drive, with a car-wash over the left side fence. It backs on to the owners garden and patio. Every modern convenience provided. Great checkout time if 11am,so we could sleep in. No breakfast provided, but plenty of milk, tea, coffee & yummy fudge.
We were a bit worried as it pronounces itself *Dog-friendly "and my partner is allergic to dogs. But, everything smelled clean and fresh. We will stay here again. If we were being picky : we'd have liked a darker blackout blind in the bedroom and a top sheet, as it was too hot to sleep under a duvet.
- Graham (8/5): Very good -
- Alexia (9/5): Comfortable, peaceful & fully equipped - The patio was amazing, lovely shower. Loved the swing seat, flowers , welcome message, the fact I could shut the gate for my dog was excellent. The road was double parked & I only just skimmed though.
- Simon (10/5): A stunning gem of a find - Wow! Where to begin, so this is a well thought beautiful little gem. There is a forest theme that the owner has incorporated throughout the property. It was spotless, had everything you needed and the welcome message and gifts was a lovely touch. The owner was there if you needed but you are left alone to enjoy your stay. Will definitely be going back but for longer than 1 night! Thank you for a lovely break. Leaving, it was so amazing that neither of us wanted to go. We should have booked for 2 nights.
- Foster (10/5): Delightful flat made our stay a treat, - Very private, clean flat, with parking and a lovely patio. The swing seat was a treat to relax in. Everything needed for a comfortable stay was provided. Furnishings very good quality, comfy bed, well equipped kitchen and lovely wet room.Host kindly provided sweets, flowers, biscuits and a light box personal welcome. Only thing missing was a toothbrush mug in the bathroom. So tiny a thing hardly worth a mention.
- Wayne (8/5): Very good -
- Fiona (9/5): Fantastic fit out / cosy home - The property is exactly as described and excellently equipped with everything you could need. Convenient parking and lots of lovely touches in the high spec home. Comfy beds and great shower The actual environment around the house isn't very attractive - adjacent to a car wash but don't be put off as you are completely unaware once inside. The only other slight nuisance was the noisy plumbing / septic tank or similar but again not noticeable once inside
- Craig (10/5): Justyn was very helpful -
- Claire (10/5): It was fancy - It was very cute and well decorated! It very quiet and secluded. Nothing it was really nice!
- David (1/5): Nice but noisy - Very comfortable and clean Just spoiled by Very noisy neighbours never had that happen before when using booking .com Didn't get a wink of sleep children playing throughout the night after a long drive from Hampshire it wasn't what we wanted.
- Scott (8/5): Very good - Great secluded location. Key safe made it easy to access and leave the key every day to avoid any issues.
Very clean property that I would recommend. Being picky, but, an oven would have been beneficial for us.
- Clare (8/5): Very good - Really lovely welcome from host clean tidy well equipped bungalow my only irk is no oven in the bungalow, microwave only. Parking is up a one track road so bit tricky to get out of.
- Penny (9/5): Superb -
- Richard (9/5): Superb -
- Alison (9/5): Superb - Lovely bungalow, had everything I needed. The kitchen well equipped and had tea / coffee and condiments. Nice outdoor seating area where you could eat and entertain. Quite a few takeaways nearby and a Co-op. Walking distance to the beach. Next door was a garage where there was a car cleaning facility so the noise from the jetwash was a little annoying.
- Marisa (10/5): Exceptional - The property was cozy, clean with a lovely decor, loved the outdoor space.
- Darren (10/5): Exceptional - Exceptional!! Will definitely be staying again!!
- Rosie (10/5): A wonderful stay for us & our doggy! Would love to stay again! - Adorable, with all the facilities you could need for a little break! Loved the decor! N/A
- Glen (7/5): Good location and reasonbly priced accommodation - Location and price Drain blocked which resulted in foul water coming through shower gully 🤢
- Alison (8/5): A real hidden gem! - Really well thought out inside, good use if the space.
Nice fixtures and fittings. Really clean and warm too. A lovely welcome on the light box from our host ✨️ The bed was a little small for us but I understand it fitted the room, although it was comfortable. A blind on the bathroom window is needed for privacy.
- Richard (9/5): Superb -
- Alexandra (9/5): Superb -
- Wendy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Roger (10/5): Exceptional - We like the seclusion, aspect, the veranda and parking. The compactness of the bungalow suits us very well. Some of the potholes in the lead up to the private driveway are very deep and could be filled.
- Robert (10/5): Exceptional - Everything there that you could need for a stay.
Would definitely consider staying again if I was that way👍
- Valerie (10/5): Exactly what we needed for an overnight stay - Great location
Didn't have breakfast Everything was perfect
- Clive (9/5): So glad we found this property. Will stay again. - This compact bungalow is really well appointed. The kitchen had tons of storage and utensils, a variety of glasses and all the crockery we needed. There was a large chest of drawers in the bedroom so you could fully unpack if you were staying a while. There was easy parking right up to the property and a deck which we only didn't use as the weather was cold. This place was such a great find and we would certainly look to stay again if we're down that way. There was a greeting notice and also some treats for us and for our dog. There really is everything you need and although the footprint is small, we certainly didn't feel cramped in any way. The bathroom and bedroom feel spacious and the living area has a kitchen with plenty of cabinets, a dining table for two, a settee, wall mounted TV and a coffee table. This is a great conversion. It is only about a mile from a lovely beach for dog walking. A real little gem. The only small issue was that although there were tons of sockets and USB points in the bungalow, none was near enough to a mirror for easy hair styling. My wife usually carries a small mirror but didn't as we were only staying one night so she had to stand a distance from the mirror in the bathroom using a socket in the bedroom.
- Carol (8/5): Very good -
- Andrew (10/5): Will definitely stay again -
- Adrian (10/5): Exceptional - Everything we needed for a comfortable stay N/A
- Sarah (9/5): Superb - Very nice, all that we needed for our short break.
- Roger (9/5): Superb - Everything. We liked the secluded location. The bungalow was very cosy and warm, with all the facilities we needed for our stay and a lovely welcome message. Justyna welcomed us on the first night and was surprised to see us in winter. We would definately like to visit again in warmer weather and be able to make use of the veranda. Nothing.
- Sophie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anonymous (10/5): Peaceful - Lovely and quite and such a lovely layout will stay here definitely again
- Zuzana (10/5): Great and cosy accomodation in privacy. We really reccomend this nice place. - Great and cosy accomodation in privacy. Very well chosen interior design and home accesories even to small details. We loved our stay <3
- Garry (9/5): Pleasant stay. Close to Africa Alive. Close to Southwold. - Quite small but nicely formed. Suited us fine. Was spotlessly clean and well equipped. Sofa was a bit low but otherwise everything was fine. Nothing
- Marcus (10/5): Brilliantly interesting and cosy bungalow that’s been converted from a garage. Would definitely stay there again. - The property was very clean and modern. Only a 15 minute drive to Southwold and 30 minutes to RSPB Minsmere. Plus there’s a good Chinese take away near by.
- Fiona (8/5): Very good - Justyna could not have been more helpful, I booked the property at very short notice when another rental was double booked, I was met on arrival & shown around. The bungalow is neat & tidy with everything you need for a stay.
- Anonymous (10/5): Lovely comfortable stay, dry spacious. We love the veranda! - We loved the veranda!
- Philip (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kevin (9/5): Brilliant place lots to do cosy little find!!! - Secluded. Ideal for dogs near everything . Very well looked after and clean. Lovely host Justyna. Little bit noisy as there is a jet wash next door in the garage.
- Hilary (9/5): Will definitely consider booking again. Very helpful host. - Very high standard th Nothing
- Dennis (9/5): I was very happy with the inside accommodation. The overgrown outside was a little disappointing. - The bungalow was clean and tidy. It had some good facilities and the kitchen was well equipped. I personally would prefer a king size bed. The bed was a bit too small for us. But this is purely personal taste. The front driveway and garden was very overgrown and looked a bit untidy and uninviting
- Anonymous (10/5): Nice place to get away from daily life - Good location very private well equipped and spotlessly clean loved the front patio area. Nothing to not like.
- Caroline (10/5): Great. - Lovely inside very well kept and has everything needed. Could do with a couple of little heaters to take chill out of it.
- Christine (10/5): Exceptional - Everything in the apartment and seating area outside If it was overlooking a better view that that didn't impact our stay
- Lawrence (10/5): A* property - Cottage was excellent in all ways. Everything we needed was there and there was a welcome sign upon our arrival which was a nice touch. We will definitely return. A cooker rather than a washing machine,.although this wasn't an issue as we ate out.
