Guest Reviews
- Martin (8/5): Comfortable and quiet, a good place to stay for discovering the Peak District - The apartment is fully equipped, situated in a quiet (however central) location in Buxton. Quality of the bed is good. In the bedroom, there is only a window in the ceiling (which can be opened by an automatic device). Very pleasant to receive a small welcome-gift upon arrival, a kind attention well appreciated. Communication with the owner is quick, clear and direct. A good placed to discover Buxton and its beautiful surroundings In spite of the detailed description, still a bit difficult to find. It is great that there is a private parking spot almost next to the apartment, but manoeuvring a somewhat larger car can be a bit challenging.
- Janice (10/5): - Spotlessly clean . Well equipped and great location. Peaceful and quiet Very soft bef
- Neil (8/5): We had a good stay, weather Ok. Would stay here again. - Near to center. Parking. Rooms clean and comfy. More wardrobe space would be better.
- Janet (10/5): Superb Property - A fantastic, immaculate
, spotlessly clean apartment. Location excellent. I highly recommend this property.

- Helen (10/5): Great trip to Buxton - Great location, short walk from everything and great to have a designated parking space just outside. Clean and tidy and well equipped with everything that you need. Would highly recommend and would stay again when next visiting Buxton. No issues with the property.
- lorna (10/5): - We had a fantastic stay at this purpose-built Airbnb! The space is incredibly generous and felt modern and airy from the moment we walked in.
The location is ideal for anyone looking to explore the Peak District; we spent our days hiking the local trails and loved having such a comfortable base to return to. It was spotlessly clean and equipped with all the mod cons you could need, including fast internet and Sky TV for relaxing in the evenings. The kitchen appliances are top-notch, and we were so pleased to find a dishwasher too – it made holiday chores a breeze!
The bathroom was a real highlight – the rain shower and bath were perfect for unwinding. Having two toilets was a great bonus for convenience, and the washing machine was an absolute lifesaver after a few particularly muddy walks!
Our host was very friendly and accommodating throughout our stay, making us feel right at home. They even offer a choice of welcome packs, and we opted for the breakfast option which was lovely and got our days off to a great start. We couldn’t have asked for a better setup. Highly recommended!
- Kathleen (9/5): Good location, host easy to contact, access arrangements clear, spotlessly clean,. - Bedroom separate from living, laundry, well designed living area? Parking onsite. Nothing specific.
- Mcdonald (9/5): Excellent modern and clean great location and communication all round! Would highly recommend! - Very clean and near to the centre of Buxton, dedicated free parking and welcome pack were great finishing touches Nothing to not like! Very modern and comfortable. The only thing that might have made it even more special would be shower gel etc but we brought our own so
That didn’t matter so much
- jan (10/5): Perfect location, easy to get to the town centre and perfect location for our stay - The property was clean and comfortable , we were provided with good information before we arrived, so that we found the property easily and access was easy.
- Fag16 (8/5): Great spot - Location was great to get into buxton and buses train, walks .nice quiet area with parking. Bed very comfortable. Nice bath with a shower so suited us both. Under floor heating was just nice temperature throughout. Sky tv so could watch movies .breakfast hamper was lovely . Kitchen area could do with few more things to cook with and less on work tops
- Lynda (9/5): Super facilities & location for Buxton - Great location for every where in Buxton. Free parking. Very cold windy weather in December. Locals told us it was because it is 1000ft above sea level. Would have liked the apartment to be warmer, but unable to change the thermostat.
- Natalia (10/5): -
- Green (9/5): - well equipped comfortable and clean useful having 2 toilets and a bathroom with a bath good central location with parking nothing
- elliott (9/5): -
- Wesley (8/5): - The property is well furnished and located in a great spot for exploring the Peak District. The property manager is really friendly and prompt with replies. Would highly recommend.
- Anthony Geoffrey (9/5): Modern, comfortable apartment near centre with parking - Owner was easy to communicate with and very helpful. The apartment was well equipped, modern and comfortable for two. Good location. Dedicated parking space. Great kitchen and utility room. TV with Sky. Nothing significant. Might be helpful to know make of coffee machine. Electric blinds may not suit everyone.
- mary (9/5): - Very comfortable bed, lovely touch leaving pastries, water and milk for our arrival Quite difficult to find apartment. We used satnav and we kept going round in circles. I would never have found it if I hadn't got out and walked around with the instructions, in torrential rain. Even the locals in the surrounding area didn't recognise the address
- Suk Yin (10/5): We enjoyed our stay here. - The host was nice and the apartment was nice. It was not easy to find the apartment but the host offered to pick us up.
- Johne99 (8/5): Great modern location apartment - Location at market, and 10 mins down the hill to center. All rooms to high standard and room for one car
Breakfast starter pack useful Sadly no A/c and only one front door for ventilation, ie bedroom had no window excpt for skylight, which could not be opened
- J (10/5): - Goede locatie, je liep zo het centrum in. Leuk welkomstpakket met lekkere broodjes en de auto kon je bij het appartement parkeren. Niks
- Stephen (9/5): Highly recommended, would not hesitate to book again. - Very comfortable and well presented apartment with designated parking space, easy walking distance to the restaurants, pubs and shops in 'Higher' Buxton and a gentle downhill stroll into the Buxton of the Pavilion Gardens, the Opera House, the Pump House, the Crescent etc & etc. So much to see and all well worth visiting. Can't think of anything - many thanks for a very pleasant few days.
- Anne (10/5): Excellent, we will return again. - Lovely modern and stylish apartment with great quality fittings. Really comfortable. Centrally located in Buxton with allocated parking just outside. A little difficult to enter the property with the full length blinds over the doorway. We got used to these and operating them electronically after a couple of tries.
- Lindsay (10/5): Lovely property in quiet lane just off town centre. Would highly recommend - Modern property close to town centre Bedroom skylight wouldn’t open
- Stephen (10/5): Great flat in Buxton - Fully equipped flat in a great location. Mark was a helpful host, on hand for any questions. Bed was comfortable, and you'll have everything you need for your stay. Nothing, everything was perfect!
- Susan (9/5): Superb -
- Warwick (10/5): Exceptional -
- Leah (9/5): Loved it, 100% would come back here - I went with my partner and we loved the location as it was right in the middle of all the pubs/ restaurants, a quiet area and also was only around a 20-25 min drive to most hikes we wanted to do. It was clean and modern and I would definitely visit again usuing this apartment! We found it very hot and the sky light above the bed was broken so we could not open it, so in the nights it was quite hot. I also found the bed was a little uncomfortable and the pillows were a bit flat for me, I ended up crocking my neck after sleeping on them for a few days but that is a personal preference.
- Emma (10/5): Extremely happy and will be back! - The property had everything you could need and more, it’s like a home away from home! The whole property was spotlessly clean, warm and comfortable. Ideally located for the town too. There was nothing we didn’t like
- Hannelore (8/5): Very good - Comfortable unit with well equipped kitchen. Right in the center of town but set back from the road and very quiet. Great location to explore the Peak District from.
- Pryke (8/5): Very good -
- Christopher (9/5): Overall a very pleasant experience. - High level of comfort, excellent facilities, great appliances, attractive and well located for shops and exploring the historic town. On-site car parking was easily accessed. The welcome pack was appreciated. Hanging space for hand towel in the bathroom was desirable, and clothes storage and hanging space in the bedroom was limited. Would have been fine for those travelling light, but there was no room for larger cases in the bedroom for longer time travellers such as us..
- Mccarthy (8/5): Very good - Location was great for public transport and restaurants. We found the bed a bit lumpy. A wardrobe or hanging space would have been good.
Perhaps extra towels for a 5 night stay.
The carpet also needed a clean.
- Gary (9/5): Highly recommended and good value for money. - Quiet location off a side street just a 5 minute walk from the Crescent, Opera House and Pavilion Gardens. Private parking outside the property is a real bonus. Very good communication with the owner once the booking was confirmed to ensure that the stay was smooth and trouble free. The property is perfect for a short stay. It has a fully equipped kitchen, SKY tv, heater/cooling fan (depending on the weather) and the electric blinds in the main living area and bedroom were easy to operate. Highly recommended and good value for money. Nothing.
- Carl (10/5): Awesome room in a great spot and amazing hosts. - Room was great, facilities excellent, really liked the welcome pack (bacon, sausages, eggs and bread in our case, but there were a bunch of different things which all sounded great). While we were there, totally out of the hosts' control, the combi boiler broke. They couldn't have been more helpful in trying to get it resolved though; they immediately sorted us a large hot water boiler, and also offered us an alternate stay elsewhere (even though we had a dog), some time at the local spa to get a shower, or a discounted follow-up stay at one of their other properties in future. Turned a bad experience into an excellent one. Parking space was a bit tight, but on the flip side, there was a parking space, so really can't complain!
- Chris (8/5): Great value for money and location, shower needs to be looked at - Great location, amenities and nice touch with the free hamper. Shower went from boiling hot to freezing cold and by the last day was unusable
- Sandra (8/5): Good stay and nice welcome pack - A nice apartment with everything you need for your stay
- Samantha (10/5): Clean, bright, modern and tucked away in the heart of Buxton! - Tucked away, modern and private. All facilities were far from basic. My dog was very welcome at no extra cost. Nothing! I had a small issue with the heating (this was me not being able to switch it off) and they responded immediately and more than sorted it for me. No negatives here!
- Julie (10/5): Clean comfortable stay in a wonderful place. Love Buxton ! - Very light modern apartment. Quiet location but only a few minutes into the town. Great to have Sky tv and Netflix. Fabulous welcome pack and bottles of water. Everything provided for in the kitchen. The fact that my stay was short!!
- Andrew (9/5): Superb -
- Penny (10/5): Exceptional - Heated floor The curtains....
- Tracy (9/5): Superb -
- Helen (9/5): Superb -
- Margaret (9/5): Comfortable, warm apartment close to town centre. - Comfortable, warm and well located apartment perfect for a short off season break.
Quiet at night Nothing.
- Matthew (10/5): Exceptional -
- Niki (10/5): Exceptional - Fantastic apartment within walking distance of the main attractions in Buxton. Very comfortable. The underfloor heating is lovely. A bonus is having an allocated car parking space, very handy. The owner is very responsive if you have any questions. This was our 2nd time staying here, and we'll be coming back again.
- Jane (9/5): Loved the warm (as in heat) of the welcome. Place very warm throughout stay. Everything we needed. - Lock box, actually given wrong code but phone number supplied for help and contact supplied correct code. No worries.
- Steve (9/5): Anniversary Weekend - Lovely comfortable accommodation, great location easy walk to centre of Buxton for gardens, shops, bars and restaurants. Perfect for a long weekend break.
Helpful and responsive hosts. Slightly tricky to find but once located perfect. Wouldn't hesitate to book again.
- Rebecca (10/5): Will stay here again when we return to Buxton - Great location and excellent communication from the owner as soon as the booking was made. Choice of welcome pack which was a nice gesture and we opted for the local beers. Had a very relaxing stay. Nothing - all good!
- Alison (10/5): comfy, calm and convenient - Great location and comfy/well-appointed appartment. Private parking a bonus. Dog friendly with nearby park and walks. Good communication from property owner
- Liz (9/5): Lovely apartment, beautiful decorated and very comfy. - Lovely little apartment, everything you need for a short break, bath and shower a bonus.
Well equipped kitchen, washing machine and dishwasher.
Pet friendly which we needed.
Lovely and clean and big towels!
Very close to lots of places to eat or have a take away
Overall a really lovely place to stay. Parking was a bit tricky with a big car, especially when the car park was full. Had to park really close to the wall to be within the lines which meant passenger had to get out of the car before parking (not a huge issue) but at least there was off road parking!
Would have liked a king size bed (as that’s what we’re used to at home) being in a double felt a bit small and that’s the only reason we wouldn’t return as didn’t sleep that well.
Would also say it needs coat hooks as no where to hand them (especially if it’s been wet)
Carpet is new and spotless, not sure how it will stay that way with dogs allowed and walking straight into the lounge area, we took off our walking boots before entering but not everyone will.
- Bruce (9/5): We really enjoyed our stay in this great property in the heart of this beautiful, friendly town! - Stylishly laid out and decorated, very central, on-site parking.
- Chris (9/5): Ideal for a couple and for w/chair users. - Ideal location for us. Easy for w/chair user. Bedroom skylight let in too much light even with blind shut.
- Pam (9/5): The apartment was clean and modern yet at the same time felt very cosy. - The bed was very comfy.
- Richard (10/5): Exceptional - Nice welcome pack, comfortable, good location , car parking space
- Julie (10/5): We had a lovely short stay in this amazing apartment - Very clean and comfortable and a great location I would highly recommend this accomodation
- Gillian (10/5): Exceptional - It was clean and comfortable having been recently refurbished.
Its location was very central
- Janet (7/5): Good - Conveniently located, quiet, and with parking. No grab rail over the bath. Nowhere to dry damp towels. Dark, airless bedroom due to broken blackout/skylight which I was wrongly told would open & close using a remote control. Poor lighting ( not bright enough for reading) in the bedroom.
It also seemed odd having a toilet so close to the oven (see photos).
- June (9/5): Excellent stay for Buxton festival, hope to stay again - Lovely apartment, clean and comfy. Everything you need. Nothing
- Joshua (10/5): Exceptional - Everything was absolutely spot on
- Duncan (9/5): Superb - Great place. Great location. Good friendly communication from host. I'd definitely stay again.
