Guest Reviews
- Raal (8/5): Great house for a family, excellent for family of 5, especially 3 young - excellent open space created in each room. 1 - Great for family of 5, especially 3 young children. Really like the simplistic layout , decor and space created in each room.
100% better than a hotel room and for the same price as two rooms. Excellent value !! Parking in the the whole of Portsmouth City can be tricky - especially with lots of terraced houses.
There is plenty of parking in the street.
- Chambers (10/5): - I like everything No usb c ports c in the plug sockets to charge up phones iPads
- Michelle (8/5): Great really handy for ferry - Super clean and tidy
Garden great for dogs
Comfy beds Nothing
- Ben (10/5): - Clean and tidy
- Peter (8/5): - It was very clean, pet friendly and, though basic, had pretty much all we needed to make out stay comfortable. On street parking was a challenge. Sometimes we had to park in the next street due to lack of spaces.
Could have benefited from having some patio furniture in the garden. The 'conservatory' had no lighting and only 2 chairs to sit on.
The living room furniture wasn't great to sit on, and the whole place lacked any character. But for a place to eat and sleep, it met our needs as we didn't spend much time in there.
- Summer (10/5): Very comfortable and nice - Very spacious and clean ,had plenty of things for us to use such as board games and stuff to cook with Parking was a bit of a squeeze but no fault of the host
- Kayleigh (10/5): - Well equipped, comfortable and spacious with timely, informative and friendly communication from the host. N/A
- Vicki (8/5): Great location very comfy - Safe quiet location
Lounge kitchen & dining area very nice
Bedrooms very light and airy There was nothing I didn’t like
- Anastasia (9/5): -
- Georgina (9/5): Home away from home - Great stay, lovely house, very clean and perfect for children. Good location also :)
- Robert (10/5): -
- Jojorose (10/5): A lovely bright home - A beautiful, clean home. Well equipped for our overnight stay. The owners had great communication. Parking is very limited.
- Denise (10/5): - The house was very clean and exactly what we needed. The location is good and worked well for our needs. We will definitely be booking again!
- Craig (8/5): Comfortable property in a good location - The property was clean and comfortable. It was a bit sparsely furnished, for example there are no bedside tables.
- Quaxi15 (10/5): -
- Emily (8/5): Great base for our few nights away, helpful host and good location near the beach and Gunwharf. -
- paul (10/5): Very clean , good facilities would stay again - Very clean Nothing to dislike maybe getting a parking space but that’s not a big deal
- Janet (10/5): An enjoyable chilly and sunny trip to Portsmouth - Very happy staying here, it was a perfect location for visiting relatives in Portsmouth. Everything was clean, tidy and fresh and surprisingly spacious when you are inside the house. We walked to where we went but at the top of the road was a bus stop. Also there is a great Chinese at the top of the road that does a lovely takeway! Everything you needed was supplied in the house with tea, coffee, sugar etc - couldn't fault it at all. Tilly communicated with any questions prior to our visit so we had no complaints at all.
Also it is dog friendly which is an added bonus. Would recommend. We drove to Portsmouth and left our car outside the house. We did most of our time there walking to places but please be aware that the road and other roads nearby may be hard to park in due to permits etc - although we were aware of this before we went - not a critisim but people may not be aware of this.
- Gabby (10/5): Perfect - Perfect thank you
- Simon (9/5): Very good property - Very clean Cushions need upgrading on the sofa, very uncomfortable
- Helen (10/5): Fantastic Property - Really clean. Light and airy. Modern. Nothing.
- Kelly (10/5): -
- robert (10/5): - This house is amazing, from the outside it doesn't look much. But, wow, such a clean, spacious, comfortable and well equipped home. Nothing
- Audrey (8/5): - Clean. Rooms were large and bright.
Nice touches with free toiletries and tea, coffee, sugar.
Private garden.
Cleaning materials and iron. TV channels. The front door from inside opened with a turn lock. Would have felt more relaxed if there’d been a chain high up to secure the door as young children could have opened door and got outside without anyone knowing.
No recycling available.
Only 2 teaspoons.
No DVD player as advertised.
Double beds were soft and creaked. One single bed had very soft mattress, the other one was fine.
- Laura (10/5): Clean, bright comfortable - Clean, bright & felt spacious with the high ceilings. 5 of us staying & we didn’t feel like we were getting on top of each other Nothing, it was just what we wanted
- Marysia (8/5): - Very clean freshly decorated Very steep stairs
- Gallagher (10/5): Trip to Goodwood Revival festival l
.
Goodwood
Trip to Goodwood. - Tilly is a great host, and the house is very clean, comfortable and functional. Location is ideal for Goodwood.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend. Nothing at all
Was a great stay - very happy with everything
- Holly (9/5): Ideal property for our group to get ready and rest in. - Lovely bright, spacious and clean home. Lovely garden, and location was great for local amenities. Nothing we didn’t like. It was a lovely hot day though so maybe a couple of chairs outside would make it perfecto 👌
- Jean-Marc (7/5): -
- dan (10/5): - Great location, beautiful house!
- Michael (10/5): -
- Tyler (10/5): - Only issue is parking as it’s on road parking.
- Andrea (9/5): Excellent property, perfect for our stay. - Wonderful airy, clean property. Great location and great communication with the host.
- Tracey (7/5): Good clean functional house, later check out would be good - Clean, functional, well equiped Early check out. Message with key code number was sent via booking
.com and did not arrive til the next day. But the host was contactable by phone so it did not cause a problem, just a little anxiety.
Lack of any personalisation
- Davina (8/5): Great stay just the sofas were a little hard and could have done with a chest of draws for clothes, other than that ever - Perfect location and clean and tidy Perfect
- Joe (7/5): Good -
- Fletcher (8/5): Nice place - The house was clean with all the kitchen appliances supplied The mattresses were not very comfy and the plug socket was no where near a mirror in the front bedroom so a mirror on the wall above the plug socket would help
- Dwight (10/5): Exceptional -
- Laura (8/5): Perfect for what we needed, spacious for us all, good value for money - Clean, spacious and fresh Lots of echo due to lack of soft furnishings
- Linzie (7/5): A lovely house - A lovely house, very clean. Quiet location. Although the house slept 6 people there was only seating for 4 people in the lounge. TV was not great.
- Mohammad (6/5): Pleasant -
- Abhi (8/5): Overall we all enjoyed. - Clean ,tidy and spacious The property was really nice but the area was not really good especially the parking . We find it really hard to find space to park our two cars.
- Mike (10/5): Spacious, Clean, easy to get to and park - Good host info and communication - Very Clean - Spacious, very accurate description - nice touches like Coffee & Tea along with bath and shower gels. Very close to beach, shops and other ammenties. Really good communication from host on and after the stay. Would stay again and recomend.
- Andrea (9/5): Just what we needed for our trip - We were in Portsmouth for football, so the location was great for Fratton Park. The house was clean & spacious and met all our needs. Parking was very busy on the road outside and we had to leave the car a couple of streets away - not a big deal for us as only staying one night and once parked we didn't have to move the car again. But if going in / out several times or having more luggage to carry, it would not have been ideal.
Bathroom lock was difficult to make stick, kept popping back open.
- Ben (10/5): Exceptional -
- Barry (10/5): Pleasant and lovely - Locations host was exceptionally good we closed door he came with spare key and house was excellent Nothing spot on
- Catherine (10/5): Exceptional -
- Andrew (10/5): Exceptional - Great location, clean, owner friendly and very easy transaction.
- Perrin (10/5): Excellent - Thanks for a great stay property was very nice and clean
- Christopher (9/5): Superb - Location Parking and beds too hard
- Emma (10/5): Perfect. Thanks for letting us stay in your house 😊 - Large property for us all to stay together. Very clean and had everything we needed There was nothing we didn’t like. Thought the parking may be an issue but we managed to park 3 cars outside the property
- Cameron (1/5): No access to property. - Absolutely appalling. Do not book this place unless you want to be let down. We couldn't even get access to the property as the code provided was wrong and the owner was unresponsive. We drove down for 1 night and spent the night finding an alternative place to stay. Awful
- Gemma (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lucy (9/5): Clean and modern house - Everything was very clean and modern, and communication was great with the host. There were lots of thoughtful touches such as laundry pods and reusable shopping bags. Beds weren't the most comfortable and blinds did let some of the light in
- Muhammad (9/5): Nice and tidy - Great location and clean and quiet area. Bads and mattresses need to be changed
- Chris (10/5): Great value stay in Southsea - good location, lots of room. - Very easy to find, lots of parking - lots of space inside Could maybe have a bit more decoration/ character inside?
- Jessica (9/5): Lovely, spacious and clean home. Perfect as an overnight stay if you are catching the ferry. Would definitely stay again - Clean, spacious and perfect location for our early morning departure from the ferry port for our trip to France. The main bedroom was very bright however this wouldn’t usually have bothered us, it was only because we were travelling with a toddler and forgot to pack the blackout blinds.
- Agostinho (7/5): Good - Blinds probably should block more the day light.
- Tom (10/5): Exceptional -
- Deborah (10/5): It a lovely place to stay - Lovely place and VERY VERY helpful hosts There was NOTHING to dislike
