Guest Reviews
- Shonagh (10/5): Such a cute little place - The comfy bed, the kitchen and the location The driveway is a bit scary to back out of but plenty of room to park.
- Emma (10/5): - Great location
Great privacy
Lovely accommodation
Off street parking N/A
- Amanda (9/5): Lovely short break - Great location! Well thought out studio.
- Evan (9/5): Great 2 night stay, very comfortable and easy with everything you need. - Good location close enough to city centre with easy parking on driveway. Very quiet inside property. To say didn’t like would not be fair but could do with bigger fridge, electric shower a little weak. Both perfectly functional .
- MICHELLE (9/5): Lovely place to stay . Quiet , clean and comfortable. - I arrived in the dark and it was difficult to make the numbers out on the lock box . There is a security light but that was too far away to provide sufficient light . Might be an idea to put a little light above it .
- Sandra (9/5): A very nice cozy clean comfy studio location excellent -
- Trevor (10/5): Perfect !! -
- Bianka (10/5): -
- Julie (10/5): Perfect little stay in amazing accommodation - Absolutely gorgeous stay

- phil robinson (10/5): exceeded expectations - Location - nice walk along the canal to Chester, cleanliness, patio area, quality of property
- Vicky (10/5): Superb 2 night stay at maysmore studio. - What is not to like. Quiet location, pub 2 minutes walk away chester centre 20 minutes via canal walk. Lovely accommodation with delightful garden. Plenty of tea, coffee, hot chocolate and more provided. Studio very nicely decorated. Nothing
- Anne (9/5): Superb - Very clean and easily accessible. Lovely decor Very handy having a parking space The settee was not very comfortable
- Michael (9/5): Fantastic stay and facilities. Highly recommended and the hosts were easy to communicate with. - Fantastic facilities, location and comfort. 20min walk to the city along the canal path. The driveway was fairly steep, however that can’t be helped but due to my car being low it was a little difficult on arrival. Luckily there was plenty of spaces on the street to park and wasn’t an issue.
- Anne (10/5): Exceptional - My daughter and I just loved the quite and making memories together ❤️ nothing
- Rachel (10/5): Absolutely wonderful, peaceful, cozy and relaxing - Everything was perfect as always
- Sue (10/5): Excellent city break in beautiful chester - Excellent location 20.mins out of city...great little property well equipped and everything you need..nice to have welcome gifts of milk and biscuits...lots of hot water and heating and everything easy to access..Good contact with hosts who live next door. We travel a lot and could not fault...would definitely stay again.. All really good...no problems with anything and no negative comments to make
- Elise (10/5): Lovely find which was clean, had everything we needed and only a stroll to the centre. - The cottage was so clean and had everything we needed for a long weekend. There was a local pub also down the road which was lovely and it was only a short stroll into Chester. I loved that there was a file with all info needed and favourites of the owners too. They have clearly put so much thought and care into the cottage to ensure all guests are comfortable and happy there. There wasn't anything we didn't like.
- Paul (9/5): Superb - Lovely stay and great facilities, pleasant walk into the city along the canal, can't fault in any way.
- Val (10/5): Exceptional - It was very comfortable and clean. Big enough for two people. Plus the shower is a decent size. N/a
- Christina (10/5): perfect little getaway! - The studio was beautiful! spotless and very cosey. We had a perfect stay. location was perfect and the local pub was really nice. nothing!
- Lynne (5/5): Adequate. - Location was good.Very close to a bus- stop into town. Aldi a few mins walk. It was over-priced. Everthing in just one room. Would have been cramped for more than one person. Only a couple of hangers on wall to hang clothes, so okay for a couple of days, but no more. No facilities for washing clothes. Settee very uncomfortable.
- Rachel (10/5): Perfect in every way 👌🏻 - We have stayed here 4 times now and have loved every single time.
The place itself is absolutely beautiful and always absolutely spotless and they have thought about everything you might need.
The location is perfect for shops, pubs and really close to Chester shopping centre.
We have actually booked another weekend to stay here before we even left.
- Liz (10/5): Very clean, comfortable, cosy and very peaceful place to stay. - The location was fantastic close to shops, easy and lovely walk down the canal into Chester. Lovely private accommodation. Nothing everything was great.
- Tim (9/5): We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay at Maysmore Cottage. - Excellent location within a 20 minute walk of Chester city centre. It's also very close to local shops and other amenities. It is easy to get to and is a great base from which to drive to visit other attractions in the area. The studio accommodation is stylish and comfortable with a very attractive and private garden and outdoor space. The information provided by the host was really helpful. There was nothing to really dislike. Ideal for a couple on a short break to Chester.
- Julie (9/5): Had a very comfortable stay in this lovely well designed and stylish studio. - Spacious studio very well layed out. Had everything we needed. Lovely private garden and terrace. Comfortable bed. Good shower. The property was faultless. The only issue was that the WiFi didn’t give us internet access. The owners did reset it for us when asked but it still didn’t work unfortunately . We managed by using our own data but had hoped for internet access to use laptops etc.
- Kevin (7/5): Good location - Location was good, instructions were fine.Property and facillities were quite good. There was no personal greeting as other guests had indicated, and from the comments and the on-site house rules it was obvious that dogs were allowed. The listing clearly states that pets are not allowed.
We phoned the numbers provided with no response ( messages left). We had a problem , the bedding was inadequate,
The doona was too small for the size of the bed.
Disappointing.
- Lisa (10/5): Beautiful Cottage - The cottage was immaculate, beautifully decorated and had every that you would need for your stay. It is perfectly located, the garden is really pretty and I would not hesitate to recommend staying here to family and friends. Thank you Tom & Sally, really enjoyed our long weekend in Chester 😁 Nothing, everything was perfect.
- Shirley (10/5): Exceptional -
- Francesca (10/5): Exceptional - All of it Nothing
- Tim (9/5): Superb - Me and my partner stayed here for 3 nights and we weren't disappointed, location is excellent to the centre, everything you need is in the studio, off street parking, and walking distance to the supermarket, and local pub.
Would definitely recommend.
- Peter (10/5): Excellent accommodation. - The accommodation was clean warm modern and comfortable. The cottage was well equipped with everything that we needed. Nothing to improve but the weather
- Pam (10/5): Lovely stay … shame it was just overnight! - The place is lovely. Super clean with lots of lovely touches. All facilities available and very private. Great instructions and Tom and Sally were lovely.
- Janet (8/5): Pleasant and comfortable - Property was convient for work No washing machine or any where to
Put damp clothing. Also on street parking is a problem. Due to having 2 cars
- Richard (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely modern apartment, quiet location, nice outdoor space.
- John (10/5): We had a nice few relaxing days away. - Handy local shops , pubs, take aways. Pleasant walk into Chester on the canal bank. Quiet location.

- Anthony (10/5): A perfect place to stay - Well equipped and very modern. Everything was provided including coffee pods and fresh milk. Good shower and lovely towels, bedding etc. Patio and garden were really nice and we would have sat out on the patio if the Sun had shined!! Great location. Nothing
- John (10/5): Quiet, peaceful and comfortable for travellers - The studio was spacious and the wall of windows overlooking the private yard made the space bright and serene.
It’s an easy canal walk to the walled city Center. (Chester is far prettier than hoped.)
Hosts made the experience relaxed.
