• Andrew Graveson (9/5): A great Whitby stay - A great location with convenient parking. Great facilities . The owners left quite a few bits and pieces in the kitchen for drinks etc. many thanks. The lounge was really comfortable and had more than enough room for our group. Both bedrooms had very large and comfortable beds. The shower/ bath room was excellent and the owners provided shampoo etc. a great touch. We will definitely book again if available. The lack of cupboards in one of the bedrooms limited unpacking. The Internet was unreliable and limited use of TVs in the bedroom. Not really a big deal. Spoke to the owners and we were able to log into a second router and this worked fine.

It's very rare a property looks better in real life than on photos. We loved it that much we re booked while we were there! Great location for exploring Whitby on foot.

• Meloy (10/5): Fabulous - It's our second stay at this beautiful apartment, and we wouldn't stay anywhere else whilst visiting Whitby. The apartment is tastefully decorated to a high standard and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Having an allocated parking space but still being within a short walk to the centre of Whitby is an added bonus. If you want a quiet, comfortable stay, that's dog friendly. I would highly recommend it. Nothing.

Lovely and fresh clean on arrival , very spacious, lovely touches like milk, teabags etc , shampoo n conditioner very modern and stylish , comfortable beds , easy access into whitby, quiet where other flats are Parking space was too small , if the carpark was full would be difficult to manoerve safely, road noise was offputting, , only negative comments in the kitchen was rust spots on cutting knives , bin wasnt big enough

• Helen (9/5): Great stay (once we found the property) and we really appreciated all the thoughtful extra touches. - We loved that the property was so well equipped. The hosts had thought of all the little details needed to make our stay comfortable with lots of extras. The coffee machine, dishwasher, comfortable seating etc were great and it was really useful having 2 bathrooms. We only stayed 2 nights but it would be a great place for a longer stay. We struggled to find the property in the dark. It’s set back and isn’t visible as you drive down the road. The location given on booking.com shows it further down the road on the other side. We drove up and down, round some side streets where google maps showed the property to be and asked some neighbours who didn’t know where it was either. We had very clear instructions on how to enter the property once we’d found it but needed directions to locate it.

• Julie (10/5): We really really enjoyed the thoughtfulness of the owners and the standard of the accommodation. - Breakfast not supplied, but we knew this, shopped in advance, ate like kings at a beautiful table, with a lovely view. Great crockery, cutlery etc. Really enjoyed, a great start to the day. Having our friend with us and being a 2 bathroom apartment was really helpful and made it much more pleasant for all. The finishing touches and decor are really fabulous and sitting around a lovely fireplace at the end of the day, just perfect! Nothing!!! We couldn't find fault with anything!

The essential provisions provided such as milk and biscuits provided and were a great bonus The kitchen is well equipped, beds are comfortable and the apartment has all you need for an enjoyable stay. It has absolutely everything you could possibly need for your holiday. The shower in the en-suite is fabulous! It is welcoming, comfortable and just like a home away from home. Even a few essentials in the fridge and cupboards. The Whitby themed souvenirs were a lovely touch too. Absolutely nothing!

• Susan (9/5): An enjoyable weekend stay - The apartment was nicely decorated, exceptionally clean and well equipped. The owners have clearly put a lot of thought into the interior design. The house is in a good position and a fairly short walk from the town. It was great to have a private parking space. The building has such a prominent position, overlooking the town, we were sorry not to have views from the windows of the apartment. Also it was a shame not to have any outside space to sit. The passing traffic was noisy at times in our bedroom. It was very hot in the apartment when we arrived and we found it difficult to open any windows.

• Michaela (10/5): Whitby is my happy place and I would definitely stay here again for my next trip. - I’ve visited Whitby many times over the years and I think this property is the best place that I’ve stayed. The flat was well equipped and more importantly the beds were comfortable and we all slept extremely well! Nothing to dislike.

Ensuite shower room has an excellent shower. High quality decor and furnishings. Close to Whitby Town center....dog walks near by very close to the estuary. Main superstore within a mile away. The location is outstanding. There is a superb view of the harbour and of the Abbey. Nothing at the moment.

Clear check-in instructions were provided and the process was very simple. There was some traffic noise, and being a ground floor apartment, there was also some noise from the apartment upstairs.

The apartment was nice and homely , warm and spacious. Everything was thought about from shampoo & conditioner to welcome drinks and so much more. Noah loved it too 🐶

• Nina (6/5): Nice property, good location, very poor customer service. - Lovely period property, nicely renovated and split into rentals, in the typical style of its type. Really good location for town. Parking was handy as we visited during Goth weekend when the town was heaving, would have struggled to park elsewhere. Everywhere looked very clean with glaring exception of the en-suite fancy shower, which had a ‘waterfall’ type shower head that was green and black with mould. I was told this was a ‘known issue’, so no idea why it wasn’t cleaned beforehand. We enjoyed Whitby but after leaving the owner contacted me to say that the manager/cleaner had reported that there had been six people staying at the apartment, so more money would be due. There were two of us for the majority or our stay and a third on the final night, in an apartment that only sleeps four. I queried this and the owner said she was away on holiday so could only base the claim on what the manager had told her - we had used extra towels and the sofa had been slept on. It turned out that my daughter had used an extra towel on the bathroom floor as she couldn’t find a mat and didn’t want to make the floor wet or slip. I had moved some of the many cushions off the sofa, as I find them uncomfortable and don’t like them. The owner said she would check the security cameras on her return and I heard nothing further. Very poor show. We’re going back to Whitby but won’t stay here again as it doesn’t make for a relaxing stay when you know - as my teenager pointed out - that Sherlock will be trying to estimate the sheets of loo roll used and extrapolate it to guesstimate the number of imaginary bums wiped!

Thank you Mark & Jo Drains in kitchen were very sluggish and washer wasn’t working but was informed by Jo about washer. Hairdryer was missing having said that we would def stay again. This is my second stay here and love it. Jo responds quickly if you have any issues.

• Tracy (10/5): Beautiful apartment. - What a gorgeous apartment very tastefully decorated very clean lovely furniture very comfy beds, slept really well it's in a great part of Whitby the quieter side, 10 mins walk to the centre where there is a great selection of pubs, bars, cafes, shops everything, too many to try in four days we will be staying again, it's the best apartment we've stayed in free parking which is a bonus, very nice treats left for us, the kitchen is very well equipped although we ate out so didn't use it. Can't wait to come back thank you.😀 I can't think of anything.

• Nicola (9/5): We had a great time in Whitby which was made all the more great by staying in a fantastic apartment. - The location was fantastic. The apartment was beautifully decorated & spacious. The apartment was clean. The two beds had different mattresses which suited us well (I like a hard mattress whereas my hubby likes a soft mattress). Fantastic shower in the en-suite. Great to have a parking space. Had the option to watch Prime, Netflix & Disney On arrival we missed the turning into the property and were driving around the next estate, might be an idea to explain it's just before the turning into the estate. Although the hosts provided instructions for the parking space, it was still a bit confusing when we first arrived. Couldn't use Netflix on any of the TV's as it kept asking us to sign in Couldn't adjust the volume on the lounge TV, which was set pretty loud for my liking.

• Lee (10/5): Top bloody notch! - The apartment is stunning, and perfectly decorated, it does feel quite grand in the living room, with the massive windows and leather furniture! The kitchen area is top notch as well, and the little gifts the owner left us was so nice, above and beyond if u ask me! 😀 The beds are sooo comfy, we've bought the same pillows after our stay. I'd highly recommend booking this to anyone and everyone, just not on the weeks we want! Leaving!

But made for a really special Birthday weekend. Xx Just 1 tiny thing . Towelling robes . So difficult to pack but lovely to have after a bath/ shower.

If I was to pick at anything it would be the size of the sofas seemed too big for the room but this is an opinion not a criticism maybe 2 2 seaters would be better. Nice welcome pack on arrival and easy check in etc. Would def return. Nothing everything was done to a high standard although not a great deal of storage in second bedroom which is more of an issue with 2 couples. Other than that we had a wonderful stay thank you.

• Michelle (10/5): Highly recommended we booked 3 nights but could have stayed longer 🤩 - This property is absolutely stunning 🤩 and only a very short walk into Whitby along the water. The furnishings were amazing and the pillows were heavenly (so much so that I looked inside the cover to see where they were from 😆). The little extras were very much appreciated and the owners were so friendly when I telephoned because we got lost. I would definitely stay again and have recommended it friends. They do allow dogs and when we looked in the visitor book someone had left that morning with a dog but you would never know one had been there. We booked for 2 adults but this apartment would easily accommodate 4 with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms one of them en-suite. It was a bit noisy at night with people coming in the main entrance but not so much that it would put me off staying again.

Easy walk into the centre of Whitby so all bars / shops / restaurants within walking distance. The heating could have done with being turned up slightly higher as it was a little cold when we arrived.

Lovely treats awaiting us, everything was great quality, plump pillows, shampoo and conditioner etc, it felt like the owners genuinely cared about their guests and we 100% loved it. Nothing…apart from heating seemed to be on at weird times but that was ok it was a fairly warm winter weekend and so we just lowered the temperature and warmed up via the living flame fire. Oh and the oven…only cooked one meal but it was a disaster … Thankyou mr microwave :)

Loved the thoughtful extras in the fridge! The free private parking was very useful. This is a lovely appt for chilling with friends and family, over a nice bottle of wine. The place was so nice ,we didn't want to go out! I wish we'd had more time to just chill in the place and enjoy all it had to offer. Beautiful furniture, and the comfort of home from home. Had such a lovely feel about the place and felt special. Plenty storage space for if your staying a few days/week. Great to have our own bathrooms. Dish washer and washing machine for if you're staying longer. Beds/pillows comfy and location quiet and peaceful. We really couldn't have asked for anything more. The host have really thought of everything we could want or need and their communication was great. This place offers so much value for money and I'm surprised the hosts don't charge more than they do! Little walk into town but nicely broken up with a visit to a couple of really nice local pubs, and the walk along provided some lovely views of the river/ harbor/bridge.. Honestly, there's not a thing we didn't like.
