Guest Reviews
- heather (8/5): Recommended stay - Very nice place, spacious outdoors for our family , picturesque village, walking distance to lovely vineyard. Chemical smells from cleaning cupboard,no hooks in bathroom, upstairs bedroom very small.
- Nicola (10/5): Peaceful setting, just right for family time. - The property is tucked away in a lovely peaceful village. There is a brilliant grocery store for all your essentials, a wonderful shop selling gorgeous crafts, the vineyard which is not far away and a fantastic pub, The Vine, the staff are very friendly, and serve excellent food. Further down the road is also a fabulous tea room, open for breakfast and lunch. Be sure to book. However, we managed to get in and were really well looked after.
The property itself is clean and comfortable. The welcome package very generous. Beds are comfortable. The hot water and showers are excellent. As it is a converted barn, I wondered if we would feel drafts, however, the heating was on if you needed it and easily adjustable. It has a very cosy feel, there is lots of natural light too. The small garden is secluded. There are many birds popping in, a squirrel that thought he owned the place and a muntjac found his way in and out again.
I had read reviews on the parking situation beforehand. On arrival, I parked in the high street and walked up to the property just to see how tight the turning was. My car is small so I had no problems and could turn round in the parking area (not quite a 3 point turn but got there eventually!). For larger SUV's, estate cars, you would need to drive in and reverse back down the lane. The parking on the high street felt very safe though.
The only detail to note I feel is if anyone in your group has mobility issues, they may struggle with the height of the step that leads down from the sitting room to the kitchen and shower room. You could get round this by going out from the sitting room into the garden and in through the dining area.
There is also another steep step to reach the front door where the key safe is. For all of you with perfect knees and hips, no problem.
A very enjoyable stay, thank you. N/A

- frobble (10/5): fabulous weekend - beautiful character house, the conversion was done very sympathetically , the mezzanine was especially delightful, plenty of space for the family, grandparents, parents and children (5 and 6 weeks) to relax, some games included which was nice. Very well equipped and spotlessly clean. easy walking distance to well stocked village store parking was a little tricky and no mobile signal unless you found a spot in garden! but that is not a property's fault just the fact of being in the country!!

- James (10/5): - Exceptional property perfect location good host contact Spotlessly Clean There was nothing to dislike
- Robin (10/5): Deze vakantiewoning is simpelweg thuiskomen.
- Lauren (9/5): Gorgeous stay amongst the grapevines - We really enjoyed our weekend here. Perfect for multi generational family celebrating a special birthday. Nicely furnished and well stocked kitchen, almost everything we needed. Local area nice and popped to the local pub once or twice too. Only thing I can fault is we couldn’t find a cheese grater anywhere! Not a major issue but it was such a well stocked kitchen otherwise
- Richard (10/5): A great location for a rural break - The property is set in the village of Hambledon on a quiet dead-end lane. It has very spacious living accommodation, comfortable beds, modern bathrooms with showers, a well equipped kitchen, off road parking for 2-3 cars. There is an open fire which we didn't use, board games, nice coffee, pretty garden, and a welcome pack. In the village there is a pub and local shop within a few minutes walk. I know the area well, there are footpaths everywhere to go and explore the countryside. Nothing, it was perfect for our needs.

- Amanda (8/5): Very good -

- Angela (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful home to have family time away, making memories with 4 generations.
- Nicolas (10/5): Heavenly - Bliss, lovely house location is handy for what we were there for.
Quite, serene, and beautiful.
Thank you. Absolutely nothing. Perfect as is.
- Neil (9/5): Very positive. We all enjoyed out stay and would definitely go back. - We really enjoyed out stay. The Barn was spacious, light, clean - and furnished and finished to a very high standard.
Liked the location in the village as well.
Nice welcome touches. I don't think there was anything we didn't like.....
We ended up eating in the main Barn living room - rather that the dining room - as it was larger and more spacious......but that was absolutely fine.
- Christian (10/5): Exceptional - We had a very pleasant weekend at the Coach House. This beautiful barn conversion is exactly as described: cosy, very comfortable, extremely quiet and clean. Everything went fine (communication, self check in and out). The welcome pack was a lovely touch. Thanks for all!
- Anne (9/5): Superb -
