• Suzanne (1/5): Booking cancelled 2 hours before check-in - Nothing Booking was cancelled 2 hours before check-in after we had already arrived in Manchester for the weekend. No communication since then. Refund details still awaited.
• Lesley (10/5): The wow factor - Wow factor , every thing was high end quality ! Cosy and warm . Staff amazing. 10/10 A nice complimentary Prosecco on arrive would of gone down a treat a a little local hamper basket for a nipple or bread jam croissant bacon butter for breakfast the next day would of topped it off only saying that cuz it’s such high end those establishments just provide them as curtesy . I loved the open sky line watching the snow . As we got there when it was dark we struggled lining up the key code in the dark as the metal numbers were hard to see even with a touch . We got there in the end .no drama xx Loved it !!!!!

• Natalie (9/5): Stylish and comfortable stay in a great location - Gorgeous accommodation. Really high standard and completely stunning, ideal for a special occasion. Location really good too with a lively bar right across from it but not close enough to cause any disruption. Good facilities. Very noisy when any water run. Someone tried to gain access to the boat the following morning and when we mentioned it to the gentlemen who met us to lock up he said he knew who the guy was so maybe this needs addressing as if it was just a couple of women it could have been quite intimidating. Car parking not great, but there are some spaces available for a fee, they just don’t appear to be in the best looking place.
• Lauren (9/5): Incredible surprise for my sisters hen party - It was an amazing Barge loads of space and a very unique location to stay. There’s plenty of room for 6 of us with a balloon garland up too. The kitchen island was perfect for all our food and activities. The battery needed charging every day by the amazing handyman. There wasn’t a tea towel in the kitchen and the coffee machine had the wrong coffee pods

• Kirsty (1/5): Avoid at all costs - We had an extremely distressing and disappointing experience with this company. One of the girls in our group lost the one and only key on a night out, which led to a cascade of issues. My belongings were mishandled and went missing, only to be returned four days later, causing significant stress and wasted hours dealing with my insurance company. We spent £650 for a stay that never happened, £390 for a spare key, and £360 for additional accommodation—all because the company lacked a spare key and adequate assistance. We were left standing out in the cold for two hours, promised a call back that never came. Despite Booking.com requesting a full refund, they have refused it. We didn’t know we had the one and only key, nor that losing it would cause us so much distress and leave us without a place to stay when we lived two hours away. I understand there was a mistake made on our part, but these things happen. The company should have had a spare key. It’s a disgrace that we have to pay £390 because they didn’t have the correct measures in place. If you have any issues, no one will answer. The whole thing felt like a scam. What’s more, the owners own a bar where our belongings were held until we paid for the key. We paid for the key, which went down as ‘studio hire’—now, if that doesn’t sound dodgy, I don’t know what does. Communication was abysmal. Their emergency helpline was utterly ineffective, and their manager ignored my calls. It is incomprehensible that they are refusing to compensate us for the distress and financial loss. I can't believe companies can get away with this. Avoid this company at all costs. I strongly advise you to stay in a hotel with proper assistance and do not trust this company. Their incompetence and lack of accountability are astonishing.
• Paul (10/5): Simply amazing !!! - What an amazing stay in the Vätten Hüs Manchester! The boat is just amazing, right in the heart of Manchester close to all the bars and restaurants around Deansgate area. The owners are very helpful and accommodating to make our stay extra special. They really went out of their way to meet our special requests and even exceed them massively 😍 Special shout out to Sami who stayed in contact with us throughout. Amazing!! Will definitely be back again soon ❤️

• Cat (9/5): Superb - Really spacious and quirky The beds were really comfy. Slept like a log Hosts couldn't have been more helpful The toilet is a bit temperamental Train noise would be difficult for a light sleeper.
• Martin (10/5): Exceptional - Complete wow factor, managed to keep it a surprise for my wife's birthday, she couldn't believe it when I jumped on the boat. Location was perfect, in the heart of everything but also felt totally safe and alone (obviously normal city noise)

Just little things let it down, easily resolved. - Location was amazing the bed’s comfortable we had a fabulous time Needs TLC We didn’t have water on the boat and most importantly no working toilet. Discovered this first night. Erin arranged for someone to come the following morning. Two guys and a dog arrived at 8 am and we had an impromptu trip up the canal to fill the boat with 12000 litres of water. It took 1hour and 40 minutes, it was amazing unexpected treat, even though we had our legs crossed 😂 The 2 guys and the dog were lovely. It did mean we had to cancel our plans for that morning. Despite this we had a great time. A little TLC needed dish cloth, tea towels full set of cutlery, small additions 👍🏻

• Amanda (6/5): Birthday - Something different, great location, good size Cleanliness, dusty flower decor, stains covering bedside cushions and guest book , basic things like no coffee, milk out of date, no T towels, blinds weren’t great, shower tray leaked, heating poor noisy and very cold, as some radiators did not work.

• Nina (8/5): Milestone birthday treat - Great location, perfect for exploring. It was lovely staying somewhere so different and unique. The boat was cold on arrival and did take some time to warm up, however, once it did it was toasty.

Also the lack of attention to detail and maintenance of interior- blinds missing broken chair left on boat broken/very tired parts of kitchen

Beds were really comfortable and the bathroom was well equipped It’s wasn’t as clean as I expected. There was a broken chair which wasn’t the owners fault, but it meant we didn’t have enough seating. The oven needed cleaning.

• Anonymous (4/5): Waste of money. - Fun, unusual location for my daughter’s birthday. Comfy pillows. WiFi is terrible- no phone signal, cupboards broken of hinges, cable trunkign hanging off the wall, blinds broken, dust in all of the vents, no toaster or microwave, cheap/old towels, freezing cold at night, thin bedding, very firm mattresses. Nothing luxurious about it other than the flowers on the ceiling.

The boat was very very dirty … cupboards was hanging off and all broken in the kitchen and the boat was absolutely freezing. Do not book this boat

I highly recommend - Booked for a business trip, as we were exhibiting at the Science Museum, we couldn't have picked a better location. Erin was extremely helpful and friendly. Amazing space. • Angela (10/5): If you want luxury this is the stay you need to book. - The property was absolutely amazing, it was an impromptu booking and we loved it that much we stayed an extra night. The boat is spacious, spotlessly clean and everything and more you see in the pictures. Definitely booking again very soon. Close to all the bars, shopping and anywhere you want to be in Manchester. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Nothing to dislike
