The friendly and welcoming owner went above and beyond and was extremely helpful. The location was ideal for visiting both Amalfi and Positano, and parking was conveniently just a short walk up the road. Everything about our stay was fantastic – highly recommend!
• BerlinDaniel (9/5): Schöne Unterkunft in einer überforderten Region - Sehr schön eingerichtete, neue, saubere Unterkunft mit eigenem Garten. Sehr nette und hilfsbereite Vermieter, die uns herzlich empfangen haben. Unsere Kids hatten im Whirlpool Spaß, wir haben abends gegrillt. Viele Kleinigkeiten in der Wohnung, die begeistern. Parkplatz in der Nähe zu finden. Hat nichts mit der Unterkunft an sich zu tun: Wir waren vier Wochen in Italien unterwegs und definitv war die Amalfi-Küste der (teuerste) Tiefpunkt. Wer sich nicht ins Luxus-Ressort zurückziehen kann (zwei Liegen in der ersten Reihe 600 Euro, Limoncello-Party inklusive), erlebt in der Hochsaison den Kollaps einer ganzen Region. Auto geht nicht, öffentlicher Verkehr auch nicht (2 Stunden Wartezeit bis wir uns den Eingang in den Bus erkämpft haben). "Influencer" so weit das Auge blickt, muss man mögen. Ich dachte, wir könnten ein paar Tage entspannt Strandurlaub machen und war deshalb auch bereit, deutlich mehr für eine Unterkunft zu zahlen als für uns üblich. Zum Strand dauert es rund eine Stunde, wenn's gut läuft (laufen (sehr anstregend) oder mit den Öffis fahren) und dann: Plastik, Müll, Uringestank, Dreck, Enge, Chaos. Uns wurde die Region empfohlen und ich habe mich hinterher gefragt, in welchem Universum man das gut finden kann. Ich habe Mitgefühl mit den Menschen, die dort leben. Kleiner Verbesserungsvorschlag für die Unterkunft: warmes Licht, gemütlichere Liege-Gelgenheiten im Garten wären toll.
• Hood (8/5): Beautiful facility, close to everything we wanted to see but cold, with no spa use. - Beautiful home, right by the water and close to everything. It’s was freezing in the facility. The heater only heated the bedrooms, but we were constantly cold in the living quarters, kitchen, and bathroom. The bathroom water heating needs to be turned up.. the warm water didn’t last long. There were two times the power went out during our stay as well. The staff were very accommodating and reachable. They live next door to the property. Spa did not work during winter months too, which is why we booked this for our kids. The upstairs bathroom also leaked along the wall and shower glass.

• Jonny (10/5): A MUST visit GEM - We have found a real gem here on the Amalfi coast! It was, by far, the most clean, well thought out accommodation I have stayed in and I have traveled extensively. Every detail for our stay was anticipated and the owner went above and beyond to satisfy all requests. The decor is absolutely lovely. It is well situated between Agerola (Path of the Gods) and the town of Amalfi. The views are spectacular. Parking is included and about 100 meters away. The owner booked 2 dinners for us at very good restaurants nearby. Really, I can’t stop gushing about Salvo’s House. Very good value for money as well. Everything is fantastic, I would say take care for taller people as some doorways are low. The house is so authentic that it is no detraction.
