Guest Reviews
- Ann (6/5): Could be a nice cottage with more attention to detail, good location in an historic area. - Quirky, full of character.
Full length mirrors in bedrooms, useful as we were going to a wedding. Overall disappointing, could be so much better with a few additions.
Key safe difficult to open ( and had been sent a text with a different code to the one in the emails, very confusing!)
House cold on entering and we were unable to get the heating on at first, despite following instructions in booklet. Texted owner, no response until following day. Eventually found that boiler was off and discovered the flap on the controller that hid the switches. No problems after that.
It was raining but no door mat so floor wet and slippery as we brought all our luggage in, also nowhere to hang wet coats. There would be room to have some hooks for outdoor clothes.
General air of neglect with curtains not hanging on the rail properly.
Lower ground bedroom has no hanging space at all, needs hooks if no room for anything else.
No bath mats in the bathrooms and no hand towels. Not enough towels put out but luckily found some in a drawer.
Not enough cutlery for 7 people and the oven and grill tray were filthy.
I could continue but I think I’ve probably said enough for now.
- Roger (9/5): Superb - The cottage is perfectly located to access the beach bars and restaurants. LG Smart tvs on all floors 4 I think allowed us to sign in to watch stuff when we wanted and an Alexa speaker allowed us to listen to music when eating and drinking in the spacious dining kitchen lounge open plan ground floor. The one parking space but tight if approached from the wrong way. So ask. Kitchen is great apert from the pendant lights which need rethinking.
All in all a great stay and the weather was brilliant too. The biggest issue for us where the very steep spiral winder stairs which are not for everyone or the faint hearted. We got used to closing stair gates to protect the little one. Really steep and tight so please be aware.
Not suitable for anyone with access issues, It's an old building in a conservation area so the stairs are original and same in adjoing properties but still care is needed if you decide its for you.
And apart from that one issue it's superb but make sure you're fit enough and sober enough to take the stairs on.
- Priscilla (8/5): We went to see the departure of the Little Ships from Ramsgate to Dunkirk which we did easily - The location was fantastic. We didn’t have to use the car at all, just parked up and left it, walked everywhere. The stairs were nothing short of dangerous!! I think that more should be made of the fact that they are so narrow and twisted. We had a dog, but children would be just as bad.
- Padget-dunthorne (8/5): Great property and very centrally located - Great property in a good location, clean +all mod cons. Stairs are a bit challenging but on the whole a great place to stay
- Darren (10/5): Perfect for the five of us - Absolutely everything would definitely stay there again Only one parking space but wasn’t a massive problem
