Guest Reviews
- Philip (10/5): Exceptional - Location great, Hosts excellent, available and responsive
- James (8/5): Perfect location and modern flat - The bathroom facilities were fantastic, I am a sucker for a rainfall shower! The flat was modern and furnished perfectly. The TV was good and the colour lights on the surround were a nice touch. The location was perfect. There was a Sainsbury's local just a 5 minute walk, if that, a 3 minute walk to the city centre and parking close by (not included). Winckley square is a nice part of Preston and there were a few quaint cobbled streets off to the side with some independent cafes, restaurants and pubs. It was quiet at night and we met a few of the neighbours who were friendly. I was on the sofa bed for a couple of nights and it was comfortable enough for me. Finally, the guide/brochure we received was well presented and had all the information that you would ever need. The energy saving lights need to go - they are awful. The lights flicker/strobe for about 2 mins before the actually turn on. Maybe there is a way to circumvent this, but I could not figure it out. I would say however that we were pre-warned via the brochure. The main bed was a little too soft for my taste. Unfortunately, the bin store was absolutely ripe and we could smell it in the entrance way and on the first floor - lucky we were on the third floor! Having to pay for parking was a little irritating, but we were right in the city centre. We did manage to find a multi-storey 3 min walk away which was 20 quid for 48 hours. Final thing, no ceramic mugs!! There was every other kitchen item you would want, but no ceramic mugs. I hate drinking tea out of a glass mug, ha!
