• Fortat (9/5): - Le logement est proche du centre, l’accueil est super, les dortoirs confortables avec A/C et petit déjeuner bon et copieux. La cuisine n’est accessible que pour cuisiner froid (dans l’annonce ce n’est pas précisé qu’il y a une cuisine mais ça serait un plus) et lorsque les dortoirs sont occupés au maximum je pense qu’on doit être serré.
• Hope (10/5): Luxury stay for a reasonable price - Everything- there’s a pool although I didn’t use it, the breakfast was delicious, the rooms have air con and the room with a private bathroom was very comfortable! There is no lamp in the room so can only have big light on. A simple fix of having a bedside lamp for reading would be fantastic.

• Francisco (7/5): - Nice accommodation, quite well located with a lovely aircon. The pictures give an idea that pool is amazing but it’s not exactly like that.
• Judit (8/5): - Our room was a bit small, and the shower room (a wet room) was very cramped and quite damp. It definitely needs some maintenance. The room had both air conditioning and a fan. The AC could be set to run all night and wasn’t too noisy, which was a plus. Breakfast was basic but freshly prepared. The shared kitchen was spacious, spotless, and well-equipped if you want to cook your own meals. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The pool was great for a refreshing dip after a hot day exploring. León feels much hotter than other Nicaraguan towns we visited, so the pool was a real bonus. The hostel is just a few blocks from the main area of town, with plenty of bars and restaurants nearby. I would happily stay here again — hopefully next time the shower room will have been improved.

Only time this has ever happened to me and I really appreciated it from staff, who were also incredibly kind :) Ac in rooms was really nice. Rooms in generally were exceptionally clean, as were facilities. The bathroom set up is a little bit awkward, with the toilet outside the room and two showers next to it. Each was its own separate space which made them feel a little small.

• Hadas (9/5): Superb - The owner is so sweet and super helpful, everything is clean and the rooms are comfortable and have ac! The kitchen is the best kitchen I've ever have in a hostel. The breakfast in the morning is also great. It's a bit far from the centre of town, about a 10-15 min walk.

• Jennyfromtheisland (10/5): Cute and quiet place with a pool - The cutest little hostel in the centre of Leon, but on a quiet street only 5 mins on foot from the cathedral. And finally, after a month in Nica, I had AC in my room. It was spacious with enough room for my stuff and although I had an external bathroom & shower, it was never crowded or occupied by other guests. The internet is good and I was able to work without any issues. The staff is great and helpful. There was a problem with the door knob in my room so Jessica, the owner, took care of that instantly. I left the room unlocked and went out and nothing was touched - it's that safe. They offer the traditional Nica breakfast which I loved and a different fruit juice every day. During the scorching afternoon heat you can enjoy the pool with a cold beer in your hand. The city bus (little white buses) stops at the corner of the street and it takes you to Mercadito Sutiava from where you catch the chicken bus to Las Penitas - perfect afternoon getaway.

• Inga (7/5): Good - The location is very good. The staff is friendly. Yummy breakfast. Good airconditioning. The private room is next to kitchen, where staff work sometimes at 11pm, and then again 5am. Then people start having brakfast and chatting next to your door. You get to smell everytging that happens in kitchen. But also no acess to use kitchen, a staff member immediatly pops up to ward you off. The quiet hours are less than 8 hours and not well observed. So basically forget about rest. The cold shower is combined with toilet, all wet after using. Sink support in bathroom is rotting away and small insects walk all over probably eating it up.

• Greg (7/5): Good value hostel in Leon - Good value hostel in Leon. Staff were helpful. Free breakfast was good. Room was basic but had everything you needed for a stay in Leon. Nice communal area with hammock and benches Pool was not that appealing. Property could do with a refresh but probably why it is lower cost than other hostels. Location was a bit further away from centre but not a massive walk.

Breakfast was good everyday with a short walk to centre, staff friendly :) Our room was next to the kitchen so was very noisy from 6:30am, the room didn’t have much natural light with our bedroom window backing onto the kitchen too, so was very bright when people were in there as we were trying to go to sleep. The shower had mould all over the wall with no shower curtain so bathroom was all wet. Pillows were too thin for me so had to use my jumper underneath

• Kate (10/5): Incredible place to stay! - The bed was so comfortable, the hosts (and their animals!) were super friendly, we also loved the free breakfast every morning which was nice and filling. Thanks for the great stay!
• Rowan (3/5): Poor - The property is fine, however, everything came at an extra charge; $4 every time you want to use the kitchen (even if it’s just using the microwave to reheat food), $3 to use the water. Although this seems expensive I could have lived with this if it wasn’t for the fact that the owner was so rude about the way she told you and in all other interactions. It felt like you were walking on eggshells the whole time because of how the owner treated the guests. The other issue is our booking clearly stated that aircon was included and despite having a aircon in our room the owner refused to give us the remote because apparently it was a mistake on booking.com. Maybe the mistake was on booking.com but regardless the owner could have gone about telling us politely rather than getting so aggravated.

We arrived too early at around 11am and were able to hang around and use the pool etc until check in time. While we were waiting to check in, the one cleaner there had started cleaning the room we were in then moved onto sweeping the reception and pool area etc before going back to finish the room so we had to wait the full 3 hours until 2pm. I appreciate that was the check in time but feel as we had arrived early by bicycle they could’ve prioritised the cleaning of the room to allow us to check in even slightly early and we would’ve been very grateful.

• John (9/5): Well located and modern but some design flaws - Very modern brightly painted and modern kitchen area the private room was also done to a high decor standard with wall fan and AC. Helpful staff. Doors and walls are very thin. Woken up by chatting staff at 5.30am in the kitchen. Bathroom doors in private and shower doors in communal are cute reused wood but clumsy and unsafe to open. Showers were dark and difficult to enter and exit. Pool looked like a laundry area with no appeal. Not sure the pet parrot in a cage is cool. Breakfast system was backwards IMO - make it a buffet! Locked jail gate on front entrance is annoying for people coming and going but probably necessary

• Antigoni (8/5): Nice stay but needs some small improvements - Great location, comfortable and clean room, breakfast was good. Only issue was with the shared bathroom which is connected to the private room and the dorm room, whilst in the bathroom you are not able to actually lock it meaning someone from the dorm can walk in as they have a key to the shared bathroom and vice versa. When asking the staff about this we were told to just listen if someone is using the bathroom before entering and they did not understand how this was an issue, 0 privacy. Proper sliding locks need adding on the inside of both doors which are connected to the shared bathroom in-between the rooms. We spent quite some time explaining this issue to staff however they did not get it somehow and communication was difficult.

Too much detail with room 3 lighting. So bright and directly overhead-----it could be better used for stage lighting. Shines directly into your face when on bed.
• Hanna (10/5): Exceptional - We did a five night stay, lovely place just a few streets from the city centre. Polite and easy going staff who made sure the place always looked it’s’ best throughout the entire day. The highlight of the stay must’ve been the kitchen, super well equipped, sturdy pans and pots and free access to drinking water and ice. We would definitely return to The Wabi Sabi in the future. Only complaint would be the slightly outdated pool, demanding many hours of maintenance from the staff.
• Caitlin (10/5): Exceptional - We loved our stay at Wabi Sabi. The staff were all super friendly and we felt at home right away - they also have a cat and a kitten who were adorable (we miss them already). We found it to be more like a guest house than a hostel, it’s nice and quiet and a good breakfast is provided each morning - prepared whenever you want. The common areas are comfortable and there’s a pool which was great for afternoon dips in the León heat. The kitchen is really well equipped, it felt like cooking at home and there’s water provided for free. The hostel is located in a quieter part of town but still less than 10 minutes to walk to the centre - we liked this as it meant it wasn’t too noisy at night. We would really recommend staying here. Our room was off the kitchen/common area so would recommend earplugs unless you wake up early.
• Saghi (10/5): Amazing stay in Leon - The pictures don’t do it justice - this was the perfect place to stay in Leon. The rooms and all communal areas were kept super clean at all times, and the staff took great care of everything in the property. We even got breakfast the next morning. We stayed in two of the rooms for 3 nights, and would highly recommend Wabi Sabi for your next stay in Leon
• Michelle (6/5): Pleasant - The room was very comfortable and clean. The swimming pool area was so unattractive, we had no desire to go in even though we were super hot. The staff were not very friendly and we had a morning where they were just shouting across the place at 6am. I had to ask them to please lower their voices. Which they didn't.

• Jiri (8/5): Everything was good except the noise during night, but we are aware that it is something which owners cant do anything a - It had family feeling, everyone was super nice. On Friday and Saturday there was a music going on from the bar behind the hotel until late in the night. We stayed in the room number 5 and had to use earplugs to be able to fell asleep.

My girlfriend was sick and the owner even heard her being sick and in the midde of the night made her a drink to calm her stomach and gave her fresh water and some pills to stop the major pains. N/A
