She gave us VERY clear instructions how to reach the apartment from Santa Lucia station, met us at the indicated water bus stop in the pouring rain, and gave us a full tour of the apartment with enthusiasm and earnestness. Huge communal spaces with gorgeous windows and beautiful simple furniture. The location is perfectly situated off the the beaten path, but just a 20 minute walk to San Marco's square. As beautiful as Venice is, a TV in the living room would have been a cherry on top after a long day/evening exploring the city. And despite being 3 bedrooms, only 1 bedroom and the living room had an air-conditioner, and opening the window in the lagoon city invites mosquitos quickly.
