- Peter (10/5): Interesting enjoyable two day break in an authentic southern Italian city with excellent sea food - It was ideally placed for both the old and the new areas with lots to see and do. The accommodation was very homely and immaculately clean! Breakfast was enjoyed at the cafe next door and it was very fresh! There were two restaurants at the side of the property.Communication was very good and helpful from the owner. We really enjoyed our stay there and would highly recommend it! There was nothing at all we didnt like

- Bernie (6/5): We liked Taranto - It was in a great location to explore Taranto. It was very clean and the vanity and shower were great. Our host now works in Rome so we didn’t get to meet her in person but we spoke on the phone, she was very nice and tried to help us. The problem for us was the stairs. If we had known the room was on the third floor we wouldn’t have chosen it. None of the other reviews mentioned the stairs so I can only assume that they were much fitter than us. On bookings it mentions rooms reached by stairs but we didn’t realise that there were so many. We missed that detail.
- Celine (10/5): Perfect stay in Taranto, perfect hosts. Would not hesitate to recommend - Alinella and her husband are exceptional hosts, always ready to help. The B&B is very well situated, at the beginning of the old town and a few steps away from the new town. It is on the 3rd floor, no elevator therefore be ready to get your daily exercise. Otherwise perfect

The bathroom was private with a shared kitchen area and balcony. Breakfast inc at a local bar was a lovely touch. Nothing!
- Milly (10/5): Great location and room, even better host! - I stayed at Casa Alinella for one night. Antonella was a wonderful host. I wish I could have stayed longer! The room was clean, nicely decorated and had great features such as air conditioning and a smart TV. Water provided, and I also received a complimentary coffee/pastry breakfast at a nearby bar. Not only is Antonella a great host but she is just a lovely and welcoming person all around. She invited me out to hang with her and her friends upon arrival. Even after checking out, she went above and beyond. I had gone to the train station and was having trouble getting a cab. I messaged to her to see if she could help me call a cab as my calls were not going through. She replied that she would immediately come to pick me up and take me to my next destination! Although I offered payment, she was so gracious and politely declined. I highly recommend staying at Casa Alinella if you are visiting Taranto!

She invited me to join a lunch, that one of her neighbours prepared. The place is located in the old town of Taranto, at a very small street. I did know almost nothing about Taranto, before I arrived. I liked the city very much and I would love to come to Taranto again one day. A huge thank you to Alinella!

The host was amazing and couldn’t do enough for us - including providing great recommendations and always being available at the end of the phone! Breakfast was also at a great cafe with views of the ocean and gorgeous croissants! Nothing 😊
- Tina (10/5): One-in a-million host - This was a truly exceptional experience for which we will be eternally grateful to our host, Alinella, who's a one-in-a-milion. We had our best day in Italy with her as she took us to a fabulous street food kitchen in the backstreet where we wined, dined, laughed, and sang with a table of strangers. Then the best day turned to mush as we got terrible news from home that turned into a late night medical emergency around which Alinella could not have been more helpful and kind. She even drove a nearly 4 hour round trip to Bari airport and back so we could make a flight to Rome. And wouldn't accept any money!! Her place is newly and stylishly renovated and in a fab location. But it's her warmth and her love for her complex city of Taranto that takes her place to the next level. I can't recommend this stay highly enough.
