After getting confirmation from booking.com, we got call from hotel, requesting us to cancel the booking as room is in under renovation.when we denied to cancel the booking, they send mail to make full payment for booking confirmation. As it was written in app to "pay at hotel", we didn't pay.then they called again and told us that as we didn't pay the amount, we will not get any room over there and suggested us to find any other stay option.

• Braja (5/5): Avoid this hotel when temperature is below 10DegC - Location, Food (Aloo Paratha), Tea When it is freezing at Tawang (temperature 2-5 degreeC), the room heaters are not simply good enough to keep you warm. This hotels needs completely new type of heaters. Everything else looks to be reasonable.

• Supratik (8/5): Spacious rooms, value for money - Spacious clean rooms with big beds (one double and one single bed), sofa set with large centre table, 24 h hot water, nice valley view, location near main market yet peaceful, prompt room service provided, friendly hosts. Bigger room heater in the room needed, no ventilation in the bathroom, food quality needs improvement.
• Vinod (6/5): Pleasant - Have good view from the room, but the view is only 50% of what you expect. Walkable to the market. The staff is not welcoming and pretty careless. They don't try to help you in anyway. And sometimes the answers feel rude. The heater hardly heats the room. Although walkable, the place is quite down from the market. Their kitchen is closed. The whole hotel reeks with cigarette smell. So would not recommend for families. They should have RO water, otherwise there is a huge wastage of plastic especially when you can only get 1 litre bottles in whole tawang.
• Sri (9/5): Superb - I was a bit scared at first when I did the booking as the front of the hotel didn't look that good in photos, but I was more than pleasantly surprised by the size of the rooms, service of the staff, helping nature of the owner, facilities in the rooms, taste of the food and its more than worth the price. I stayed for 2 days and this part of my trip is the cheapest and the best of my 2 week trip. Definitely recommend it!! One negative thing is, if theres a power cut, the generator is switched on, only during specific times like 7am to 8:30am and sometime else in the evening
• Arko (9/5): Good place to stay in Tawang at a reasonable cost - Location was good, in the Nehru market beside Canara Bank. Couple of double deb rooms would have good views of the Tawang town, but the triple bed did not have any view. Staff was really polite and eager to help, but some of them are still new and a bit raw so would need time to become even better. Room was decent sized and quite clean. Food was also decent. We stayed in December and it was intensely cold with temperature at night going down to -5. The heater that was provided was very small and not big enough especially for the bigger sized triple room. Other thank that everything else was quite good.

• Arundhati (8/5): Nice and comfortable stay with amazing mountain view - The food was incredible. The view from my room was amazing. I really liked the staff who were ready to help always. This place is very safe for solo woman travellers—definitely an excellent option for staying. I couldn't use the heater when there's load-shedding which is very common in Tawang. At least one charging point should have a UPS connection to charge mobiles. There can be more options for food.

• Leopappu (9/5): Best Budget Hotel in Tawang - Inspite of Tawang being a high altitude location, the hotel provided all the amenities required for our comfortable stay including 24 hours hot water, a room filled up with afternoon sunlight, comfortable sitting area and bed and a water heating kettle with Tea/coffee accessories. The room size was quite good too. To top it all, the owners of this small hotel personally ensured that we have a very comfortable stay and took care of all our needs. In spite of thinking quite hard about what I did not like about the hotel, I did not come across any.

• Meera (8/5): Very good - All the staff of the Hotel Oak were very pleasant and very helpful. We requested for meals (BF, lunch, dinner) whenever we were in, and every item was very well prepared, tasty. We were initially sceptical if we can get vegetarian meals. But, that was totally unfounded. They had good vegetarian options; they even obliged and prepared vegetarian meals typical of Tawang; truly enjoyed. The help to visit BumLa Pass was valuable too. The approach roads to the hotel were being repaired and it was a challenge to reach the hotel; but this is not under the control of the hotel! They helped us to the extent possible! 😊
