Guest Reviews
- Tracey (10/5): - The accommodation was extremely clean and the host was great with letting us know any information needed .There were also some extras left for us to enjoy which were very much appreciated .
- Hobbit2 (9/5): Weekje Oxfordshire - Prima studio, alle benodigdheden ruim aanwezig. Niets
- Paul (10/5): Studio at the old vicarage - I was extremely impressed with the studio apartment. Caroline was an exceptional host throughout my stay. The studio was spotlessly clean, comfortable and fully kitted out with everything you could possibly need during your stay.
I have worked ans stayed away for over 25 years and I can say without a doubt, this was definitely in my top 1% of places to stay and i will definitely be staying again in the near future. I could not fault a single thing.
- Steve (8/5): A very comfortable and convenient place to stay in a beautiful part of the country. - The location was perfect for us as we were visiting friends in the village. The Studio itself was clean and comfortable, and very well equipped. And although we didn't actually get to meet the hosts, all our communication with Caroline was very friendly and very helpful. It didn't bother us at all, but the outside space wasn't exactly private, but part of the courtyard/carpark. Maybe this will be developed in time.
- acj635 (9/5): - Lovely quiet and comfortable studio room. Responsive host able to respond quickly to query.
- Jack (10/5): - Excellent accommodation, location and host. Nothing
- Fabian (10/5): - We were greeted by our host Caroline on our arrival and she was warm and welcoming. The accommodation was extremely clean and tidy and Caroline had left a few food extras such as coffee, milk biscuits etc and some Easter chocolates, which was a nice little touch. All essentials were catered for and the kitchen had all utensils, pots, pans etc to ensure it was fully functional. The kitchen facilities(which included a cooker, microwave, fridge freezer, dishwasher, coffee machine and sink) were a massive positive for us as in previous stays at other locations we found the lack of these detrimental to our stay.
A personalised information sheet was, again, a nice touch.
The bed was large and comfortable and the overall space of the accommodation was utilised really well.
We therefore highly recommend this accommodation. It certainly ticked all our boxes and we would definitely like to stay here again when we return to England later on in the year.
🤗 Absolutely no negatives.
- VALERY (9/5): Un séjour parfait avec un rapport qualité prix exceptionnel. - Le calme, les attentions de bienvenue (lait, jus, biscuits), l’équipement et l électroménager du logement … La lunette des toilettes qui était propre mais tachée
- Joanne (10/5): Fantastic - From booking the accomadation, the host was infomative and friendly. She contacted me straightaway which was really nice. She gave me great directions even a photo of what to look for as we would be arriving in the dark.
Extra little welcoming things, lights on, jam tarts, and the heating on, so it was homely from the get go. I will definately stay here again when visiting our freinds in Berinsfield :-) N/A
- Mary (9/5): Warm and comfortable well-appointed studio apartment within easy reach of Abingdon. - Very clean, modern studio apartment. Nice touches included: milk in the fridge, 'proper coffee' machine (and coffee pods), jam tarts! Could have sat outside if the weather had been better. Noticed continental electrical sockets - not for me but a sensible addition. Only problem encountered was finding the property in the dark. Google maps showed an entrance from a road parallel to the High Street which wasn't correct. Host had warned me that they would be out at my planned arrival time. and did return my 'help' call later but I had managed to find the entrance after parking and walking along the High St to enable me to read house names in the dark.
- Tina (10/5): Amazing - Everything was so clean everything you needed including tablets for dishwasher big fluffy towels tea coffee sugar etc catered for everyone we are definitely going back
- Lene (10/5): Lejlighed er beliggende i en lille landsby med rolige omgivelser. Beliggenhed er perfekt, hvis du vil besøge de omkringl -
- Kathleen (10/5): We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to anyone. - It was quiet and comfortable. Very clean.
- Martin (9/5): -
- GERALDINE (10/5): An ideal location if you want peace and quiet. - Long Wittenham is a lovely peaceful village with some gorgeous properties. We enjoyed our walk around. The Studio itself was compact, but designed to include all you need for a short stay. The array of cooking utensils were impressive. We had all needed to produce a meal. We visited The Plough and Vine and Spice, both within easy walking distance from The Studio. We ate at the latter and were impressed with the choice, service and food. The village lacks a shop, but we visited the post office/store in the next village, which was about a mile away. We wanted to avoid the hustle and bustle of supermarkets. Caroline left a pile of leaflets about local activities/attractions and instructions for gadgets in the property. We never met Caroline in person, as we had no difficulties of any kind, but she messaged several times. We hope to return in the not too distant future. I found the bed a little too firm, but that's just personal preference. My friend was fine with it.
- Jayne (10/5): Lovely Annex in a Beautiful village. - This annex was perfect for our short stay. The location is great, with ample parking, spotlessly clean, comfortable and well equipped. Caroline was a superb Host. We hope to return soon. Nothing.
- H (10/5): - It was a lovely studio that had absolutely everything we could need, the facilities were modern and up to date and very user friendly.
Carline the host was brill too, leaving milk, snacks and a few very helpful guides to the property and nearby. Would love to stay here again!
- Jeremy (8/5): A very enjoyable stay enabling us to meet-up with old friends and see a little bit of the area. - Compact, well-appointed accommodation which fully met our needs for a short stay in the area. Comfortable bed and excellent shower! Within a few minutes walk of a pub and an Indian restaurant. Comprehensive and helpful information about the accommodation and things to do in the surrounding area.
- David (10/5): An ideal base for our trip to the area. - Clean, comfortable, well designed and perfect for our needs. Nothing
- Caitie (10/5): The studio was a beautiful stay, stayed away for a week on work and needed a welcoming place to come back to and this wa - Very clean, everything you would need, a home away from home Nothing
- Patricia (10/5): Excellent - Everything. Nothing
- Mary (10/5): Loved it and the village. Great place to recharge - Loved the location, the accommodation and the host was super helpful, even for the most odd request of ours for a tape measure 🤗 Can’t think of anything
- Stephen (9/5): Superb - It was very clean and comfortable. The bed was comfortable and the location was very quiet. We appreciated the little extras Caroline provided for us. Nothing.
- Colette (10/5): Exceptional - Caroline's place is quiet and comfortable, always clean with a selection of drinks and snacks provided. The cat that tries to come in!
- Jmhatley (10/5): Lovely studio in quiet village - A self-contained studio, so able to set out own pace, and had everything you could possibly need. Our host, Caroline, was so helpful and went above expectations.
- Dwaine (10/5): Exceptional -

- Suzie (10/5): The best 3 nights stay here - This was a beautiful studio! Absolutely loved it. Clean, comfy and had everything you would need. Caroline even added some treats which was a lovely idea. Stunning surroundings and parking right outside in grounds. Will be back to stay again. Nothing not to like, was a lovely 3 days.
- Bruce (10/5): 2 night stay - Great cosy studio, very clean and smart with hospitality and personal touch N/a
- Paul (10/5): Excellent - Very quiet. Small but well equipped kitchen with a good shower and comfortable bed. All really well organised with excellent communication. Would stay again.
- Ben (10/5): Exceptional - A really lovely little place, cosy and warm, excellent attention to detail, there's literally everything you could possibly want here in the kitchen and facilities wise. Lovely location set in a beautiful courtyard, would definitely go again. Highly recommend even more so if you want to self cater and explore the area.
- Martin (10/5): A little gem - Lovely cosy studio. Immaculately clean, little treats on arrival, comfortable bed.....perfect in every way.
- Colette (10/5): Exceptional - The studio is a lovely place to stay.
- Majid (10/5): Home away from home - Good facilities. Nice extra touches - chocolates, biscuits, milk etc. Very thoughtful host.
- Michael (9/5): Superb -
- Pat (10/5): Perfect - Perfect studio flat in a beautiful little village a short drive from beautiful Henley on Thames, Abingdon and Oxford. A few pubs within walking distance serving good food. Lovely little museum at the other end of the village which is well worth a visit Excellent host who provided everything we could possibly need and also left chocolates and wine as well as milk tea bags oil etc which was a lovely touch. Great WiFi and tv with streaming services. Highly recommend and hope to return. Nothing, even the weather was good!
- Matthew (10/5): Exceptional - It was a lovely setting and perfect for our needs as we visited our grandchildren in Didcot. A nice touch with the chocolate buttons and biscuits and a bottle of wine, which we unfortunately did have time to drink Nothing, really. Maybe an adjustable shower head, but that is just being picky.
- Juliet (10/5): Exceptional -
- Donna (9/5): Superb -
- Mark (10/5): Exceptional -
- Majid (9/5): Lovely host, lovely apartment in a lovely part of the country. - Self contained Apartment.
In a lovely part of the country
Quiet and peacfull
great parking
great power shower
Snacks, tea and coffee provided
Sky TV provided Nothing to dislike really.
- Candace (8/5): A very enjoyable stay at the Old Vicarage - We stayed at the studio for 6 nights during our travels to England and really enjoyed it.
The hosts Caroline & Robin were friendly, helpful and very accommodating. We arrived to find an information/instruction letter explaining how things operated, along with some extra treats that were so thoughtful.
The studio is on the smaller side but is a very functional, modern, clean and open-concept living space.
The kitchen and bathroom both have the majority of essentials. The bed and linens were very comfortable.
An added bonus for us here was the ease of car parking.
We found the location of this studio ideal for exploring nearby Dorchester-on-Thames, Wallingford, Oxford and The Cotswolds by car. And by foot, Caroline provided 2 lovely neighbourhood walking routes that we combined into 1 big loop, which was really enjoyable.
It was obvious to us that a great deal of thought and care has gone into creating and operating this rental space.
And the highlight of our stay were the frequent visits from the family cat. There were only a few minor unpleasantries we experienced during our stay.
The extractor fan in the bathroom didn't seem to be working and the bathroom sink was draining very slowly.
The additional lounging chair at the foot of the bed is a nice thought except it really jams up the flow of movement around the bed and the overall studio - consequently we both suffered painful bumps on the knee when we walked into the corner of the bed when trying to avoid the chair.
Some hanging hooks in the bathroom would be greatly appreciated, along with more than 1 towel per guest per stay.
- Ali (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful quiet studio, with very helpful hosts. Close to a restaurant and pub as well as supermarkets 10min by car. The studio is very modern and cosy with all you need for a short or long stay. Would definitely go back
- Lwht (9/5): What a wonderful place!! - What a lovely studio apartment! So well presented and well equipped. Fridge freezer, microwave, cooker, toaster, coffee machine & all the things you need. The wine was very much needed when I arrived as were the chocs/bikkies, and Caroline was so responsive/helpful. Bed comfy and so good to have access to extras like YouTube on the tv. Also in a very beautiful village. Would 100% stay again. Only a very small thing but there’s no mirror other than in the bathroom so it makes hair drying difficult, and the shower needs a mat as very slippy, and the floor gets a bit wet…
Oh and some oven/toaster instructions as some of us aren’t so good at figuring things 🫣
- Dean (10/5): Exceptional -
- Penny (10/5): Perfect property - Everything, perfect accommodation. Very comfortable bed, hot shower, great communication and lovely personal touches by the hosts. Nothing
- Phil (9/5): It's a lovely spot. - Caroline was the perfect host. The studio was clean and comfortable with everything we needed for our stay, there was even a bottle of wine and few biscuits for us to nibble.
Their friendly cat was adorable and our whole stay was very relaxing and enjoyable 😄 Nothing really, but a few hooks to hang towels, etc, would have been handy.
- Kate (10/5): Short stay for wedding reception at the Earth Trust - The Studio was perfectly equipped for our short stay while we were attending a wedding reception at the nearby Earth Trust. It was extremely clean and comfortable. Caroline our host had made it very welcoming for us and the chocolate and wine were unexpected but very welcome additions. Nothing! It was just perfect. I just wish we could have stayed longer
- Douglas (10/5): A perfect little studio in a very attractive village. - A perfect little studio in a very attractive village. The studio is very well equipped and Caroline supplies the most important culinary basics as well as some bonus welcome goodies.
- Susan (8/5): Very good -
- Dean (10/5): Exceptional - love this place and would recommend to anyone nothing not to like
- Brian (8/5): Well priced apartment, in a lovely little village, and close to the areas we wanted to visit. - Very nice touch to have water, milk, wine, and chocolates left for us on arrival, much appreciated.
The apartment is in the shade of a massive horse chestnut tree which kept the rooms nice and cool.
TV had Sky Channels available for use, and a Wi-Fi code was provided so all very relaxed.
- Sebastiaan (10/5): Clean, comfortable, quiet - Well outfitted kitchen, very clean, comfortable bed, great host, quiet location.
- Dean (10/5): Exceptional - Felt very welcomed from the get go and some lovely extra touches that I didn’t expect
The place was spotless and really comfortable I will definitely be staying again N/A
- Karen (10/5): Great place to stay! - Great location for visiting Abingdon and Didcot amongst other towns in a small village with a nice restaurant and pub. Lovely property set back off the street so it’s very quiet and private. The annexe is very clean and has lovely fresh bedding and decor. Nice treats upon arrival - milk, biscuits and wine. And tea, coffee and sugar plus oils and seasonings available for use at the property. Everything’s been thought of. Only thing we found missing was a tea towel as we did the washing up by hand.
- Jax01 (8/5): A wee gem near Oxford - Very comfortable studio apartment with very thoughtful host. Great attention to detail, very clean, high quality linen and well kitted out kitchen. Easy access to Oxford but in a small, quiet and very pretty village A couple of hooks in the bathroom would be most helpful!
- Rob (10/5): Very nice and clean - This was an amazing bolt hole for me and my partner to stay. Whilst we visited certain attractions in the area,Caroline, the owner, was very thoughtful and gave me every bit of information I needed, I will definitely return when im in the area again, i highly recommend staying here I've got nothing to complain about, I'm disabled and I asked about accessibility. There was a little step, which was manageable, but I was told all about this, so there were no nasty surprises
- Harry (10/5): Exceptional -
- Elaine (10/5): Perfectly set up studio in a peaceful village location - The studio is perfectly set up. The bed is comfy. The kitchen is clean and has ample surfaces and equipment to cook meals from scratch. The dishwasher and large sink make washing up easy. The shower room is clean and warm. The towels are large and fluffy. The location of the studio is quiet other than the delightful dawn chorus. Parking is right outside the studio. It's in a delightful area for walking in the countryside. The host made us feel very welcome. The village has limited options for eating out. I was glad that I brought my own food to cook.
- Colette (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nicholas (10/5): Exceptional -
- Paul (9/5): Great small apartment with all we needed - The host was friendly and the small apartment was well set up. All the cooking equipment we needed was to hand. The personal touches when we arrived were great. We were a bit worried that the door key might be on it's last legs, but it survived.
- Dawid (9/5): Superb -
- Liaquat (10/5): Exceptional - Quiet location and beautiful scenic environment
- Anna (9/5): Great stay - Lovely cottage, perfectly equipped Nothing

- Edmund (10/5): One of, if not the best accommodation I’ve stayed in for leisure or work. -
- Julia (10/5): Thoroughly recommend - The studio was very well equipped and clean. Caroline the owner was very helpful. Quiet secluded position with parking right next to the studio. No fault to find.
- Diane (10/5): Fabulous - Spotlessly clean, well equipped and good location for Oxford and surrounding areas.
- Lynne (8/5): Lovely week in Long Wittenham - The studio was very well appointed and the bed was very comfortable. The surroundings were very nice, with plenty of room to park. The owner was very friendly and accommodating. They have a very friendly, soft black cat! The studio is quite small, so that there is only one easy chair, however we found that it was quite acceptable to watch TV, etc from the bed. There weren't enough hooks in the bathroom to hang towels.
- Alison (10/5): Exceptional - The accommodation was spotless and the bed and bedding were exceptionally comfortable.
The owner is very helpful and the cat is very friendly!
We had a lovely stay and highly recommend the studio. There was nothing not to like!

- Cliff (10/5): Superb studio in lovely surroundings with an excellent host. - Lovely village in historic countryside. Very clean and easy to stay there and conveniently placed for Oxford and other surrounding towns. Caroline is an excellent host : although we never met, she communicated regularly with us and created a very comfortable environment. Nothing
- Simon (10/5): Exceptional - Nice, quiet, comfortable, safe location. Nothing
- Isobel (9/5): Recommended - we will return! - The Studio was well appointed, functional and clean. It had spacious parking. The cooking facilities were lovely and there was even a useful selection of basic oil & herbs. The bed was comfortable and the linen new and fresh. There was a lovely welcome pack of wine, milk & biscuits and even some chocolates. The owners responded to questions exceedingly promptly. It's in a lovely part of the country, in a lovely village, with a very good Indian restaurant. A loose-leaf tea-pot would have been nice, and I struggled to get the can-opener to work properly even after You-Tubing how to use it. Minor minor things. There isn't a lot of space but it's fine for a tidy couple.
- Jon (10/5): Simply Excellent - Clear communication
- H (8/5): Very good -
- Andrew (10/5): We highly recommend this accommodation, one of the best places we have stayed. - A most gorgeous studio unit in a lovely village close to Abingdon.
