Guest Reviews
- Duncan (10/5): - The apartment was very inviting and comfortable with things laid out to make it easy to use
- Alexander (10/5): -
- Megan (7/5): One night in Plymouth - Secure parking. Lovely bathroom. Plenty of storage space. Prettily laid dining table. Condiments provided. Only one bath towel. Ants in the kitchen. Although there was a bowl of fruit, it was going off and there was an open packet of biscuits in the cupboard. Not easy to access the coast because of the Brittany Ferries terminal.
- Mark (7/5): Not too bad an apartment for a one night stay, but not deluxe and is on the ground floor. - It was clean. The bed was comfortable, as was the sofa and the armchair. The TV was great but I didn't need to test the WiFi as the area has 5G.
It had pretty much everything we needed aroud the kitchen and bathroom.
The decor was interesting. Using the same wall paper or colour on all of the walls of a room was not something the designer seemed to have considered. There were lots of quite nice quality fake flowers in the living room in particular.
Communications with the host were great - friendly and very responsive. He was there waiting for us when we arrived and showed us where to park and then showed us how to get into the apartment and handed over the keys and the undeground car park gate fob and left us to it.
The balcony was fine and had an ashtray (which is a good thing). The photo of the location on the listing is a little, shall we say, "disingenuous". There is a red arrow which one naturally assumes points reasonably accurately to the location of the apartment. It looks as if it is on the third floor, one or two apartments in from the direction of the sea, and the listing also mentions the lifts as being a feature which further boosts the idea that it reasonably high up. It is actually on the ground floor and more like 4 or 5 apartments in the sea. Therefore instead of looking out almost straight at the sea, you are at street level facing the industrial end of a large VW dealer. Sure you can see the sea, and easily walk there but it is not what I expected. It also made me reasonably cautious about leaving balcony door or bed room window open - especially as when I arrived there were a number of lads hanging about at the end of the street, most of them staggering about to a greater or lesser extent. They were probably harmless, but nonetheless, I kept the balcony door shut when I was not in the room. Also one or two of the vertical blind panels were missing so once you had pulled them into position, you the had to individually drag others into place to achieve a full curtain.
Aside from that, it is a bit tired and probably needs some items to be refreshed. My main concern was the balcony door which is quite a hefty item controlled by a handle which is really floppy. If you don't get the movement quite right when closing, it does not engage, and you have to try again. Each time I tried I got more concerned that the handle was just going to break. The stovetop was a bit scratched up, the 'kickboards' had probably been measured incorrectly when first installed, and one of them was broken.
- Phil (8/5): Perfect with noise - The flat was stunning , everything needed was there, could not have asked for anything more. The location was great, however the surrounding buildings and undesirable noisy locals spoiled it. Also the fact the bed in 6ft from the front door to the building means no chance of an early night or a lie in as it bangs like thunder everytime someone enters or leaves the building.
- Fran (6/5): Adequate - Location was fine The cigarette butts on the veranda
The noise from the cleaning cupboard
The smell of damp throughout
The view of the garage opposite
- Stephanie (10/5): Great location, lovely clean apartment with good facilities and safe underground parking. - Underground parking great, very secure, big kitchen and good washing machine, comfy sofa. Bed mattress bit creaky.
- Colin (10/5): - Home from home lovely host
- Jon (8/5): - Very clean and convenient Whole one bedroom apartment
- Valerie (10/5): Very nice - It’s in a well secured environment The apartment
- Dale (8/5): -
- Rachel (9/5): -
- Bernard (10/5): - Très bien
- amanda (10/5): comfortable - Loved everything about the property, we looked after our grandson and he went straight for the fruit bowl left for us. The property was very cosy, we would have loved another night. Salumi bar up the road is definitely worth a visit also. Nothing not to like.
- Chloe (8/5): -
- Jo (9/5): Excellent, very clean and comfy apartment in a perfect central, but quiet location - We loved everything, especially all the little touches and it's clear the hosts put in much effort to ensure their guests have the best stay possible. The hosts were especially good about our little dog, which we had not for-warned them about before our stay - it was not clear on Booking.com that this was necessary - We fully understood their concerns over the extra cleaning costs that pets can incur, but we were able to assure Theodor that our small dog was fully house trained and didn't shed fur, so he kindly did let us stay - for which we were very grateful. Loved the underground parking There was nothing that we didn't like about the apartment - just the weather outside!!
- Georgina (7/5): -
- Jack (10/5): -
- Parmhamcope (8/5): well equipped flat, very clean, easy secure parking, not far from the centre - very clean, met by the host. private parking, ground floor flat. very close to the ferry port, so near to industrial estate, didn't bother us, but may do other people.
- steve (10/5): -
- Andrew (10/5): Will stay again excellent - Facilities quiet and private parking Lift didn’t work
- Ian (8/5): Two nights in Plymouth - Secure parking underground. Friendly welcome by host. Fruit and some food provided. The oven on the cooker could have done with a clean. Limited cooking implements. No bath mat in bathroom. Carpets stained.
- Chris (7/5): -
- Clare (8/5): Homely - Homely apartment, comfy bed, plenty of storage space in the bedroom. It was quite a long walk to the Barbican area. The area surrounding the flat seemed a bit run down, but it looks to be improving with new apartments being built on the seafront.
- Clint (10/5): - There was free underground parking at the property! Theodor, the host was amazing! He made sure that everything was in-place for my stay! Personally, there was nothing to dislike!
- Dunne (8/5): - Easy location to access The Hoe and Royal William Yard. Comfy bed. Underground parking. Generous touches with shampoos, fruit etc
- Joan (9/5): Excellent 1 bed apartment in Plymouth for couples or single visitors with or without transportation - Good location for Plymouth and surrounding area. Apartment very well appointed with lots of unexpected touches to make us feel welcome and comfortable. Secure underground parking a real bonus. Not applicable

- Precious (10/5): Beautiful Private Apartment - Beautiful apartment. Very homemly. I loved the fruit bowl as a welcome. Very spacious woth an outside terrace. The host was lovely any time i needed help he came to assist. Nothing
- Charlene (10/5): Follow the ocean - Gorgeous and clean apartment with everything you need! Basement parking is safe and easy. Location is lovely, bottom balcony with side views of the water and boats. Near to shops, clubs and food places. Host was lovely and responded quickly.
- Mpb (8/5): Great retreat in fabulous location! - Location was excellent! Loads to walk and see, from the Hoe and the Barbican one side, to Royal William Yard the other.
So much to do and see- marina & port opposite a real bonus! Only comment i can make is some lights not working (main bathroom light, hall light and kitchen spotlights).
- Lord (10/5): Spotless & very comfortable. - A spacious comfortable, well equipped & spotless apartment in an excellent location with secure underground parking. Everything you may need is included by the very proud & thoughtful lovely owners in this spacious apartment, including a few treats thrown in, the bed was unexpectedly extra comfy too! Booking.com arrival details were'nt too clear, so we phoned the owner who personally met us on site & handed over the keys within minutes. Thank you both so very much. James & Mylene,
- Richard (10/5): Exceptional -
- Richard (8/5): Very good -
- David (10/5): Exceptional -
- David (10/5): Exceptional -
- Dominika (8/5): Very good - Nice place to stay
- Victoria (1/5): We did not stay and have not received any correspondence from either booking.com or the host - It was dirty and we did not feel safe. We want a refund but booking.com and the host will not respond to us.
- Caroline (9/5): Superb -
- C (4/5): Disappointing -
- Sardia (7/5): Good -
- Max (5/5): Passable - Location as we were taking a Brittany Ferries trip the next afternoon. Noise from the street. Shouting through the night, car doors banging (the flat is ground floor and only feet from the road), people walking past and just talking. No sound insulation from poorly fitting windows. Unbelievable noise from the flat above: simply from them walking about and probably normal activity but the dreadful construction method meant every footstep echoed into the apartment.
- Battylu (8/5): Location was good, only needed one night, lovely host near-by, well equipped and comfortable flat. -
- Clare (8/5): Would go back didn’t stay in the property for very long but liked that there was parking too - The property had lots of extras and was really lovely. Clean and nicely done out. Bulbs missing.,it was very noisy at night
- Dinu (10/5): My stay was comfortable, with excellent amenities and attentive service. - A very clean location, well equipped with everything you need, and clear instructions from the owner. The owner is kind, helpful, and responds quickly to requests. There wasn't anything in particular that I didn't like.
- Alix (5/5): Didn’t feel we got value for the money during our stay. - The property had been decorated to a good standard. Location wise the apartment faces a VW dealer. It is a short walk to the harbour.
Noisy neighbours and passer bys. Unavoidable as too warm not to have windows open. Lightbulbs not working or not present in main hallway, bedroom and living room. Cleaner did not do a thorough job prior to arrival - a tampon wrapper found in glass next to sink in bathroom, drying dishware next to kitchen sink, batteries under sofa, random objects left behind furniture. Can do with a really good deep clean. The apartment is far too warm and the fan provided is on its last legs. All can be remedied with some TLC and general maintenance. Recommend changing your cleaner or spot checking work completed.
- Norman (7/5): Location good very helpful landlord good. Secure parking - Everything we needed Occasionally noise from the property above
- Justin (5/5): Passable - Good shower but extractor fan didn’t seem work. Bed was comfortable but fan was broken (hot at night). Nice to have tea and coffee available. Wi-Fi was good. Sadly, a Bit of a misdescription to call it lovely. Location isn’t pretty (scaffolding at the moment) and facing a car sales site - no view of the Barbour from the flat - and there were cigarette butts in a full ashtray on the little patio which adjoins the pavement with people walking past the window. The main oven didn’t work, not much loo roll and Hoover held together with tape. Noisy neighbours and people shouting in the street outside at night. Not conveniently located for the centre or the Hoe. Pretty expensive for this standard and location. Good communication. For less money it would have been fine. I stay in a lot of places for work so sorry not to be more positive.
- Debbie (7/5): Lovely place shame about the neighbours arguing - Easy entry meeting the host for keys, comfy bed and had most things that was needed including coffee, tea, sugar and milks. The area isn’t great there were couple arguing in the street and the other flats most of the afternoon I wouldn’t want to of gone out for a walk on my own.
Also it didn’t have a view like the main picture shows as it’s ground foot flat so you look out onto a garage.
- Rebecca (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely clean apartment. Great location to festival at the Hoe . Apartment above noisy but nothing host can do about that...
- Paul (10/5): Great location for a stay in Plymouth -
- Gioel (10/5): Exepctional - Really nice please spacious and lovely location 😀 There is no reason not to like it
- Andrew (10/5): Exceptional -
- Wayne (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jack (10/5): Pleasant! - Very spacious. Super comfortable bed and sofa. Nice big balcony also. Everything was perfect.
- Joanne (10/5): Exceptional - Easy to find very clean with everything you could need couldn't of asked for better service someone arrived with keys as soon I a called to say I was there parking was explained to me also lots of little things ie tea coffee sugar oil cereal etc an fruit bowl
- Hermione (10/5): Exceptional - From start to finish…
We did not no watch number of flat to go to so I rang the number and straight away. A lovely gentleman put me at ease and come and met me.and my partner, he was so inviting and easy to talk to, he showed us to our apartment
And showed us how to use the heating and where to put the keys, this place met expectations more than we can say to the point where we even had deodorant and pasta if we were hungry😂😂😂 when we needed to go to a destination and there was a number on a table so we rang it and it was his lovely gentleman‘s wife that was more then happy to drop us to where we wanted to go. I really rate these people and love the accommodation we stayed in, such lovely people I would definitely stay there again which we plan too! The place was spotless and well maintained, anything you needed it was there. Such a good place to stay and what a friendly couple :)
- Sven (10/5): Exceptional -
- Paul (8/5): Very good - Perfect for what I needed
- David (10/5): Plymouth apartment - Size of the apartment was better than expected, plenty of space to move around
Personal greeting upon arrival.
Comfortable bed.
Location to the City Centre
Private gated parking area Parking bay is difficult to get in and out of with a larger car due to 2 concrete pillars either side.
This is not the fault of the owner just how the building is designed.
- Anonymous (9/5): Excellent stay - It was really lovely and comfortable to stay. We absolutely loved it.
Host and hostess were very lovely and welcoming. We were okay with the property. We would have loved if the tv could connect to smart view though.
- Sean (9/5): Superb -
- James (10/5): Lovely 1 bed flat - Beautiful ground floor flat with underground parking space for a car. Clean and well presented. Good contact from the owners on the day of collection of the key. Would definitely consider booking again. Comparing this to a hotel room is not fair on the hotel room. Way more space, practically the same cost and the location puts it at a 10 min walk from the city centre. Nothing really to say was wrong.
- Alison (10/5): Exceptional -
- Shirley (10/5): Would use this place again if ever in Plymouth - Was a great place to stay host excellent added extra tea coffee cereals
- Shut (9/5): Comfortable, car was safe and secure, close to town. - The apartment was very comfortable, excellent amenities, very clean. Having an industrial building across the road was unfortunate but views down the road were good.

Nothing!
