Guest Reviews
- Paul (10/5): Had a great weekend at the Durham miners gala this property suited our need’s exactly - Close to the city centre and all amenities.
Property was exactly as described and a lovely place for our short stay.
- Olga (10/5): Exceptional - Great location and spotlessly clean
- Rythmic_goose (9/5): Superb - Great location. Clean and well-maintained.
- Daniel (9/5): Superb -
- Rebecca (9/5): Fabulous break, great apartment, lovely city - The location was fabulous for wandering around the centre of durham and property was light clean airy and bid enough for me and 2 teenagers Nothing - it was all great. People with less mobility might want to note that the apartment is up a flight of stairs and the bedrooms are on the first floor. The kitchen is then up another flight of stairs on the second floor
- Hannah (8/5): Very good - Clean and tidy, good power in the showers, quality toilet rolls, and board games in the living room. Upstairs toilet flush is a bit weak. The rugs slip a lot on the wooden floors - a bit of a safety hazard.
- Ann (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely comfortable apartment, lots of room and everything there that we needed. Great location too. We liked everything!
- Elizabeth (10/5): Exceptional - Very warm, welcoming and comfortable modern apartment... exceptionally clean with everything needed for a wonderful stay.
- Louise (10/5): Perfect place! - Clean and with everything we needed. We really enjoyed the games! Really close to town and Durham is a lovely place to look around. No negatives. This is one of the nicest holiday houses I've stayed in.
- Angelika (10/5): Exceptional -
- Petley (9/5): Wonderful time in a cosy apartment with friends. Very grateful to the host! - Two showers! Lovely beds and nice cosy atmosphere. The kitchen was also very large which was great for making breakfast in the morning. Could be some more kitchen utensils such as a nicer spatula and tongs. Can't really think of any other improvements.
- Sammie (10/5): Exceptional - everything was clean and lovely na
- Callum (8/5): Loved our visit- thank you for hosting us. - Compact and cozy in a great location - easy access from motorway and easy walk to the city centre.
- Mary (10/5): Very enjoyable Durham very picturesque and clean - Well equipped comfortable apartment very quiet at night easy walking distance from the city centre
- Tracey (8/5): Perfect position and comfortable - Excellent location and very quiet Only two little things - couldn’t open windows downstairs and there wasn’t one coat hanger
- Pat (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely flat. Well equipped. The hill! We did a lot of walking and walked to and from the city centre each day. It is an easy walk in terms of distance, but be aware that you have to walk up a very steep hill to get back to the flat.
- Elizabeth (8/5): Clean, comfortable and very central. -
- Arfan (10/5): Comfy, spacious, very clean and close to everything - The home was very comfortable and has all the facilities we needed. Easy access to the City and to explore the North East of England. Noisy floors when people walking in the kitchen. A little warm in the rooms.
- Annie (10/5): Lovely clean apartment in a quiet location walking distance to the centre of Durham - Couldn’t fault this property. It was light and airy and very clean. The bathrooms and kitchen seem to be newly refurbished. Had everything you needed for a comfortable stay in a very quiet location a comfortable walk from the centre of Durham (bearing in mind that the nice downhill walk on the way into town is uphill on the way back 😂).
Host was very helpful and quick to respond. Nothing at all.
- Caroline (8/5): Very good - Very nice place. Clean and comfortable. Up the hill from the centre of town. I thought the price was excessive.
- Sarah (9/5): Superb -
- Mike (9/5): Excellent property and service - Great communication. Easy key pic up. Very accommodating and really helpful and quick answering questions. Quiet location. Comfortable rooms. All good
- Richard (8/5): Very good -
- Maria (9/5): Good hosts who kept in touch, lovely little apartment. We really enjoyed our trip to Durham - Great location, lovely kitchen, lots of space The blinds in the bedrooms are not good, they let in lots of light waking us all up very early. I’d suggest perhaps installing curtains or black out blinds
- Rebeca (9/5): Well cared for split level house, great for families. - It was very comfortable with two large bathrooms, three bedrooms, nice pillows and sheets. Big kitchen and had a washer /dryer combo. Family room was small but comfortable and kitchen area was big and spacious (and where we hung out the most) Lots of stairs and used to things like paper towels, sponges in kitchen but we just purchased them. Would recommend a drying rack for clothing, as it’s nice for delicates and uses less energy.
- Olga (10/5): Exceptional -
- Allan (8/5): Ideal location but a few too many steps for senior citizens - It was exceptionally clean and convenient The single bed was VERY hard & uncomfortable. The hot water in the showers was dangerously hot.
- Jennifer (10/5): Cute place, great location, nicely stocked. - The flat was nicely decorated with plenty of provisions. It was clean, comfortable, roomy, and in a very convenient location. We liked everything about the property; will definitely recommend!
- Stephen (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kym (8/5): Very good -
- John (8/5): Very good -
- Tammy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Milnes (10/5): Cleanest, most comfortable, cost effective, convenient and classy place to stay in central Durham! - Super directions to the quaint 3 story house with the red door. Quiet and peaceful location, yet within 12 minutes walking distance to the centre of town, partly along the beautiful river. We especially liked the kitchen/dining area. This was after the 3rd flight of stairs and was an incredible surprise as we opened the door to a huge, inviting space. We spent most of our time in the dining area, when not out walking in Durham, drinking coffee or wine as we watched the clouds pass overhead through the skylight windows. The bathrooms were excellent. Everything was better than I had experienced in the Radisson and the Marriott. Having your own kitchen/dining room and 2 pristine bathrooms made this place very special. The owner was very responsive to our email. Perhaps some ground coffee as there is a cafetiere and a teapot would be useful.
- Sian (10/5): A superior property, which provided everything we needed and went beyond our expectations. - Delighted with all aspects of the property. Everything was excellent.
- Nina (8/5): Cosy and compact flat with great location - Cosy apartment with great location within easy walk of all the main attractions. Flights of stairs would not be suitable for guests with mobility issues.
- Fiona (9/5): Superb -
- Jo (10/5): Perfect apartment for a long weekend with friends in Durham - Really good location only a 10 minute walk down to the centre of Durham. Lovely flat, very clean, extremely generous with the heating (we had to turn all the radiators down!). It does have allocated parking to the rear for two cars which wasn’t that clear from the listing and it’s easy to pull up in front to unload. Very responsive host quick to answer questions, would definitely stay again - Durham is so beautiful. We especially loved the top floor kitchen diner and hanging out up there.
- Anonymous (10/5): Lovely house, clean and comfortable, great location and questions answered straight away . Fantastic! - Lovely house, clean and comfortable, great location and questions answered straight away . Fantastic!
- Jan (10/5): Great place to stay. Can’t fault it. - Excellent location. Ten to fifteen minute walk into city centre. Spotlessly clean apartment. Quiet area. We were a group of 4 and it was the perfect size.
- Emily (8/5): Very good - The whole of the apartment except what I have writing below. There was no shower Mat or Rail to hold on to.
This is a Health and Safety issue.
I needed to steady myself 3. Times to stop fulling.
There were also no small side tables in the living room.
- Steven (10/5): very well maintained very clean excellent location in my opinion - excellent apartment very well maintained only 10 minutes walk to the centre will be staying here again well done to the team there was nothing to dislike about the apartment
- Margaret (9/5): Ideal for family small group - 3 separate bedrooms ideal for our party size plus 2 bathrooms including a rain shower (my favourite). Great communication from owner Senna, we were first guests apparently. Loved the top floor kitchen diner area & the snug. Will definitely stay here again next time we visit Durham Steep stairs may not suit everyone, fire door at kitchen area slams shut and us very loud
