Guest Reviews
- G-LADY (10/5): A-must-stay! - I liked how quick the correspondence was from the host. The ease at which the stay was managed. Most importantly, the flexibility and openness to accomodate my check in hours is what I am mostly grateful for Nothing. It was clean, it was in a quite area, everything was easily accessible. And it's close to important attractions as well.

- kate (9/5): We have a wonderful time - The rooms are open and spacious, the location of the house is easy to get. The rooms have everything, microwave TV, kettle etc. The place is situated in a quiet area Breakfast is not served, find a way to arrange for breakfast in the near future. Outside there's a shade but no chairs there, that's a beautiful place š
- Milly More (8/5): - The place was very clean and refreshing If they can put the soap holder in the shower and a small cabinet in the bathroom
- Keorapetse Windy (10/5): - The welcome we got by the receptionist, comfort in the facilities and wifi connection Our bathroom having no door
- Clement (9/5): Need to feel welcomed - Nothing It didnāt have the welcome mood

- Urmila (4/5): - Wi-Fi speed was excellent. Hot shower and nice aesthetics. There was no door to the bathroom. Absolutely zero privacy. Was extremely inconvenient.
Aircon heat unit did not work and room was very cold at night. Bed was very stiff. Checking out was hard as nobody was around in early morning hours and no place was provided to leave the key.

- Dineo (10/5): -
- Nkateko (1/5): - The place is beautiful and the rooms are well furnished. There was no water at all. Not even little water for brash teeth. And they didn't have plan B for the guests to have some little water to freshen up like brushing teeth or to flush the toilet. We checked out without bathing.
- Connie (10/5): It was a pleasant experience, I loved everything about the rooms since I booked 2. But room 6 needs a shower curtain ple - Everything Nothing
- Mulamuleli (5/5): We checked in very late at night but got assisted quickly. The location was easy to find but there was no electricity fr - It looked exactly like the pictures. Very clean and modern. The walls are too thin. You can literally hear everyone and what they are doing in each room.

- Obakeng (8/5): Besides the power issue, I was happy with the place. I will most definitely use the place again when I am in NW. - The property is very clean and peaceful. The property has no backup power. We initially wanted to relax until around 9am while watch TV and order in breakfast but was forced to leave earlier as power went off in the AMs

- Nomazizi (7/5): - The room was spacious, and looked like the photos. Good location, friendly staff. The TV is nice and big. They left soaps, lotion and coffee and tea that was replaced upon use. The location is easy to find. The bed was very hard. The shower floor looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a long time. Upon asking for the replacement of the bathroom light (it was not working when we arrived)the screws for the light were left on the floor which was a major injury hazard.

- Tshililo (10/5): Very beautiful place to stay⦠- The place is clean and the room was so beautiful and clean. The pictures on the website doesnāt do justice. They should provide a bottles of still water in the fridge. The person to open for us in the morning when we checked out was nowhere to be found.
- Felicia (7/5): -
- Tshepo (7/5): - The place was neat and clean. The staff was friendly. The bed was hard.
- Khoza (5/5): -
- Deliwe (9/5): - The pictures don't do justice to this place. It actually looks beautiful and more spacious than I expected. I wish they could have made provision for the number of guests booked in. We didn't have enough enough towels, cups, etc. for all of us.
- Ntombifuthi (4/5): The place is good except few things need to be in place - Itās clean quiet and secured, security staff is friendly and willing to help. 1 couch for one person where is for my spouse?,guest house must have stove, sink, plates so that we can cook for ourselves we had to buy food the whole 2 days we from another province. Please keep it up this place is beautiful try to meet Guests house Starndart. Bed is very hard š¢
- Rolf (4/5): - Austattung Kein Aussenbereich. Kein Gartensitzplatz. Aussenbereich War noch im Bau.
- Floyd (9/5): - The place is clean and quiet,
- Ntombifuthi (1/5): - Actually I spent only one night, I had to go and book myself and my family at Protea hotel to continue with our stay. The person we found on our arrival disappeared, there was no electricity, no network, power went on our first night, no one explained to us what was happening, when calling the number provided, the person dropped the call and blocked our numbers, we felt very unsafe , until we decided to move to hotel with extra expenses, would really loved to get my refund, I can also provide evidence and money paid to the hotel where we booked for two more days.
- Lucas Nyiko (9/5): -
- Aluwani (6/5): -
- Tumelo (10/5): -
- Maserame (7/5): - The rooms are beautiful, spacious with modern design, sheets were clean, desk available to accommodate working environment, room smelling very nice There is no reception area, just a chair, staff not presentable and there was load shedding, and yet no back

- Gosego (10/5): -
- Cecilia (8/5): -
- Fhatani (8/5): - The place is as shown in the pictures. Well represented in as far as what one would have expected. We had to get the iron from the security guard as opposed to having each room fitted with an iron and ironing board.
- Thami (6/5): -
- Rona (7/5): Modern comfortable rooms. - Located in a good neighborhood; the rooms are large, clean and comfortable. The on-site staff were friendly and helpful. There are no other facilities other than the rooms.
The water pressure left us showering with a trickle of water.
The walls between the rooms are paper thin we could hear the people in the other rooms talking.
- Pauline (8/5): Fantastic! - The property is well kept Lack of proper coordination between the receptionist and the owner about the guestsā request. The owner knocked at our door to get clarity on our duration of stay; which was unusual.
The reception area is a let down. Thereās no proper reception furniture except for two small arm chairs.
- Boitumelo Ngwato (10/5): - The place newly renovated, what is on the picture is what you get. Quite and neat Water pressure on the shower
- Winnie (8/5): Harry's luxury Lodge Mafikeng - The room was very neat and beautiful It seems like a new place or it's being renovated, so outside it was not so appealing and the reception as well not up to standard
- Gugu (10/5): -
- Bantle (6/5): -
- Namhla (7/5): - I didn't get the room I booked I didn't receive the room I booked
- Misi (9/5): - The location and fixtures are beautiful the room is exactly as advertised and the WiFi is so fast this is definitely great value for money
The security and check in was easy Nothing really
- Goemeone (10/5): -
- Thato (9/5): Well done for a new establishment. Wish you all the success and improvement. I will rebook again - Refreshing interior aesthetics & clean sheeting. Reception area could be warm & fresh smell.
Staff to clean bathroom walls to do the beautiful tiling justice.
- Aaron (10/5): - Everything Lack of small carpets on bed sides
- Bontsi (9/5): -
- Jabulani (8/5): Great stay - The room was very clean,I enjoyed the wifi ,the various dstv channels, Netflix, prime video and other services. I liked the fact that Fridge was available in the room ,as well as the microwave and a hot water kettle. There was not hot water at night when we wanted to use the shower, but in the morning there was hot water but pressure was low.
- Bongi (3/5): I would not recommend the property beautiful as the rooms are but lack of professionalism in totality is a no no. - First impressions: The reception area is a huge turnoff. No reception desk you sit on plastic chairs that are not even the same. The receptionist write on a very small table. The place is cluttered.
Amongst the things cluttering the reception area is an ironing board standing against the wall. Guests have to walk outside to go and request from reception everyone they have to iron clothes.
I had requested on the app for a room with two beds but when I got there I was given a room with a double bed. The receptionist explained that they only have one room with two single beds and it is occupied but the guests are moving out the next day. She asked me to call the owner to request that the next day I be moved to that room though it was already an inconvenience to share that small bed.
The owner is extremely rude. He refused that and wanted me to book an additional room at a discounted price.
While I was processing that, the same owner sent the security who does not look professional at all though polite, to give me his phone. He asked with so much arrogance whether I am taking his offer or not.
I expressed my dissatisfaction with his conduct and ended up saying I will put this in my reviews. He said he does not care, he already has amazing reviews.
Room no.3
There is absolutely no view. Itās like you are staying in a back room. The room is facing the wall which is about 2.2 meters as you open.
There is nowhere to sit outside or even walk to for fresh air. No garden, the property is paved all around.
The sliding door canāt lock as it is skewed on top.
When reporting to the receptionist - she explained that it is like this even the cleaners struggle to lock it.
We later asked the security to help closing to no success and he told us to lock the burglar. So for two days we had to sleep in an unlocked room but locked the burglar door.
Bathroom door is the folding type - when you open it falls off from the panel on the side. The receptionist is friendly but canāt take any decision on her own except reporting to a rude employer.
The room was clean.
It is spacious and modern finishings but needs attention to give utmost comfort especially the broken sliding door.
- Mokgethi (10/5): -
- Pieter (5/5): Fair with a lack of some detail - The cleanness Small detail. Like 'n small rack in the shower.
The kettle cord too short
The bed too hard. Could as well sleep on the ground
- Refiloe (3/5): No value for money - There was no electricity, no soap dish in the shower, no toilet paper, blankets were not fresh, water was cold in the morning !!!!!!!bed was not comfortable!!!!!!!!!
- Natasha (8/5): - The staff were very friendly and welcoming, they helped us with things we requested for.The rooms are absolutely beautiful š
- Ramatobako Moses (10/5): -
- Jeanett (10/5): Best stay no doubtā¤ļøā¤ļø - What you see on the website is exactly what I got, supper clean, some place advert how the place used to look and not what it actually looks like presently The shower door doesn't really accomodate big bodied individuals
- Ndomelele Sibulele (8/5): - It was a quiet night, the neighbours were also quiet. The stuff was friendly. It has DSTV. The guest house was under renovations , which meant that there was some dust in the room.
- Mogi (10/5): -
- Mpho (1/5): Looking for peace and tranquility turned into a certifiable nightmare. - The place is still kept clean I suppose. Wow. I have stayed at Harry's Guest House before in Mafikeng. This was when it was relatively new and I suppose not a lot of people knew about it.
In any case, I don't think I will be coming back.
Like all places in Mafikeng, this place went downhill VERY quickly.
My room was unfortunate enough to be next to people who were loud, obnoxious, playing music loudly and having explicit activities loudly as well.
As if that wasn't enough, there we construction workers on site drinking and having a good old time.
The mattress was hard as rocks and by 6pm, we had no electricity.
We were told the electricity would be gone only for an hour.
9pm there was still no electricity.
What a shocking experience.
I checked out that night!
I went there for peace and tranquility and I found the exact opposite.
I couldn't even get a partial refund.
Because if you are looking for the owners, please forget about it.
The phone just rings and rings ans no one ever answers.
- Kelebogile (10/5): I loved the cleanness of your rooms and bedding. And itās spacious - Very clean None
- Philani (10/5): - Everything, the service and the room too. None
- Lucas Nyiko (8/5): -
- Richard (8/5): -
- makala (1/5): - Never got a chance to stay there, the address provided kept taking me to a different faciluty. Tried the provided number several times but it was completely NOT getting through. Ended up believing we may have been scammed and booked another location. I use booking.com all the time and thus was the 1st time this hapoened to me.
Went to the facility the next day with the help of Rabiās owner and not much help nor refund was given to us. UNIMPRESSED
- Kamogelo (7/5): The facility is great yet the service was poor. The stuff was rude - The place is nice. The security guards are friendly. They didnāt tell us about locking the room and we did lock our room and went to town. When we arrived, our room was not cleaned. I had to go and ask for fresh towels. I was so disappointed. We made our beds. Sheets we not changed. Tea was not refilled.
