Guest Reviews
- Roxanne (10/5): It was amazing and very relaxed - How beautifully decorated and compact it was N/A
- Jessica (3/5): Hot tub broke, accomodation not cleaned properly. we was booked to stay 3 nights but left after 1. - N/A
Location ok but we did not stay Hot Tub did not work
Unclean
- Caron (7/5): We enjoyed our time here and this is a very quiet cute private spot next to a fab pub. - Nice little place for a weekend away. Well equipped and clean and loved that the host left us to do our own thing too and we’re helpful over the what’s app group so if we required anything further they were available on the group. The Bears Paw was also fab xc Only slight issue was The hot tub although available to us was in my view not private enough and would need a firm structure/canopy over it permanently but we enjoyed our time here very much.
- Thomas (10/5): Wonderful - Extremely cozy with all the facilities you could ever need. Hot tub was great also, can’t wait to come back! Nothing was bad about the property
- Joanna (9/5): - Hot tub looked amazing but due to the weather we decided against it in this visit.
Comfy bed.
- Wendy (8/5): -
- Amy (8/5): Lovely place - bed is so comfortable- great local pub - food amazing. Great hosts and would recommend - Comfy bed - parking - all the essentials Garden not secure as shared - hot tub in owners garden - although every effort made to keep it private and all other reviews had no problems - we had 2 dogs so I think we just were a little nervous
- Joe (1/5): - The annex was clean and tidy AVOID AT ALL COST
The reason we booked this accommodation was for the hot tub which we couldn't use due too the over grown scrubby brambles etc due too this we we constantly bitten by bugs etc after 3 hours we had enough and didn't even stay the night let alone the full weekend we booked requested a refund through booking.com who were useless and lacked any power whatsoever to do anything as the host refused to give a refund
- Tammy (5/5): The property has potential to be lovely, but it would benefit from more thorough cleaning and preparation - There was a WhatsApp group setup which gave you some additional instructions and information about the property. The property was not properly prepared for a group of three, as pre-booked. I had to request bedding for the sofa bed, which we found stuffed under the sofa, unclean, no bedding covers, and with hairs on it. There were also not enough towels for our family.
The cutlery hadn’t been properly cleaned, and we noticed cobwebs and spiders in several areas, which suggested that the property hadn’t been thoroughly cleaned or maintained.
The hot tub was very dirty on our first night, which seemed to have been overlooked. It was much cleaner by the second night, although the chemical smell was quite strong.
Overall, the property felt neglected and in need of better care. That said, with proper attention to cleanliness and preparation, it has the potential to be a lovely place to stay.
- Tracy (7/5): Great location. - Location was great it was lovely to walk to the pub. It was so hot in the annex, they did provide fans but it really didn't help much. The hot tub helped.
- Gina (10/5): Exceptional - The Annexe had everything you could wish for for a weekend away. The hosts were very responsive and helpful and the hot tub was amazing. Nothing
- Mark (8/5): Very clean and comfortable stay - Very cosy for a party of two. Apex ceilings very difficult to negotiate, but you do get used to them.
- George (10/5): Perfect - This is without a doubt the best (English) value for money place we have ever stayed. The facilities included for what’s asked in return is outstanding. I implore everybody to try it here. I couldn’t provide one thing
- Richard (8/5): Very good -
- Darren (10/5): Exceptional - A lovely place to stay without too much noise.
It's always nice to stay places with a hot tub. Nothing worth writing about.
It's personal preferences at the end of the day.
- Amanda (10/5): We had an extremely relaxing time in this very quite village with extra benefits of the hot tub I would highly recommend - It was very clean quiet relaxing and very cosy just what we needed after our hectic work lives in the city There wasn’t anything we didn’t like about this property
- Jane (9/5): Superb -
- Elliot (10/5): Exceptional - Nice and cosy
- Alice (10/5): Exceptional - Really comfortable accommodation in a perfect location. The hot tub was great, the house was well-stocked with equipment and it was perfectly located in the small village of Warmingham.
- Debbie (9/5): Very nice property but didn’t feel loved. - I private garden if you had a dog
WiFi was very poor
- Sue (9/5): Cosy bolthole - Close to the bears paw for a family wedding. Prefer own space to hotel. Was very comfortable. Steep ceilings in bedroom took getting used to.
- Paul (10/5): Exceptional - Well equpped and good value. Booking .com only gave Postcode. its in Millers Cottage. FYI Cheshire is riddled with potholes and lots of road closures to fix them,Watch your alloys!!
- Nicola (8/5): Great time, left feeling chilled & we will be back. - Good size for 2 adults and 2 dogs. The property was warm, clean and tastefully decorated. Everything you needed was provided for. The hot tub was good with slippers, robes and towels provided. Location is great with a variety of local walks close by. Would we go back?? DEFINITELY👍 Nothing
- Julie (10/5): We had a family party to attend which was 10 minutes away from the accommodation. We all met at the Bears Paw for a meal - It was cozy and had everything you needed
- Deborah (9/5): Perfect for our needs. - Well presented and clean. it was as it appeared in the photos. We had everything we needed. The hot top was wonderful. The only thing that would improve it would be a mattress pad or protector to put on the sofa bed under the sheet. Although the sofa bed was comfortable it would improve the comfort and protect the sofa bed so prolonging its life.
- Matthew (10/5): Great base with its own tub - The property is superb, a good sized living space with the bedroom upstairs. Headroom is low but that's because it's in the loft space. The bathroom is downstairs and has a very good shower. The kitchen is well equipped. The jewel of the property must be the hot tub, very impressive!
- John (10/5): Relaxing and peaceful, definitely worth a return stay. - Beautiful quiet location. Good size fridge. Hot tub made the break extra special. As bedroom is in the attic space, we had to be careful of not bumping our heads. But there was plenty of room to negotiate.
- Debbie (10/5): Race weekend at Oulton Park - Lovely and clean and parking on site Excellent facilities, fully equipped kitchen. Double sofa bed with bed linen provided. Hot tub was very clean and easy to use. Excellent location just 30 mins from Oulton park. The Bears Paw pub had lovely food , the bread and butter pudding was awesome, and just a couple of minutes walk. Great contact with hosts on WhatsApp. Nothing, was a lovely place to stay. Would recommend.
- Dale (9/5): Superb -
