Guest Reviews
- Gordon (9/5): Well equipped and comfortable accommodation, fantastic location within walking distance of Hawkshead - Great location, the cottage is really well equipped and was clean and tidy. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The woodburner was an added bonus. Bathroom window is very draughty/didn't seem to close properly, might need looked at to get repaired.
- Jill (10/5): - Second time of staying at this cottage. Very clean, comfortable bed and has everything you would need.
Great view's from living room and balcony. Lovely walks for walking the dog. Would definitely recommend this cottage.
- Jackie Fawcett (10/5): Perfect! - It was a cosy little bungalow with everything you needed. Very warm and comfortable. The location was perfect, just a 10 minute if that walk to the village through a well signposted field. Perfect for a morning stroll with our dog and spectacular views. Nothing
- matt (5/5): - In a good location, with nice easy access into Hawkshead walking either along the road or along the public path behind the church. House is only small but absolutely fine for a week stay, the kitchen has everything you need, the WiFi is good, and there is a decent smart TV with all the streaming apps available. There is a reserved parking space for the house right outside which is nice and convenient. The house wasn’t as clean as I would have liked, we had to hoover up when we arrived to clear up dust and dog hair, wipe crumbs from the placemats on the table, and the dish washer was full of dishes that we had to put away.
- Doug (9/5): Superb - Lovely location with great views.A nice short walk across the Fields to Hawkshead.Good facilities and very clean. Nothing
- David (4/5): didn't get a good night time rest - well equipped, lacked nothing as everything provided lovely views , superb kitchen , great area and good walks , off road parking .Nice lounge area with wood burner . Bed too small for us as it was a small queen size in a small room .Us being 6f 4 feet tall folk feet and ankles stuck out bottom of bed .
Boiler made one hell of a racket during the night, sounded like a plane taking off !! Bathroom very very small .
- Arthur (9/5): Great place to stay to explore the Lakes. I'm - A great little cottage, everything you need and nothing that you don't. The kitchen is well appointed and modern with hob oven, microwave and all the pots pans and utensils you could possibly need. The log burner is a lovely addition and really easy to use. The heating is simple to navigate and heats up the place quickly. Hawkshead centre is a ten minute walk, yet you are far enough away to appreciate the peace and tranquility of the location. A parking space is provided, but it is a little tight if there are other cars in their spaces!
- Jill (10/5): Exceptional - A gorgeous little cottage, just outside the main village of Hawkshead. Great views and very peaceful. It is very well equipped with everything you need. Lovely decor and very clean. A couple of pot holes outside.
A first basket of logs would have been nice if you weren't prepared (unlike like us,) but you can buy them just at the bottom of the hill.
- Alice (10/5): Exceptional - Location, quiet, well equipped Nothing
- Nicci (8/5): Just what we needed - Quite and out of the way, outside area secure for dogs, lovely view and able to go for long walks everyday with no need to use the car! Short walk from village where you could have nice meals and pick up basics, well equipped for own catering. Dining table awkward and bedroom space tight!
