- RHIAN (10/5): - Everything was GREAT, however I think that the breakfast offerrings can be improved based on the price charged when compared to other hotel breakfast offerrings and definitly there is a need for more washer/dryer laundry unites ... the 2 combo unites cannot servive that entire hotel....it was like playing hide and seek and catch to be able to wash and dry clothing !
- JORDYN TAYLOR (10/5): - We stayed in a twin room and this was by far the biggest room we had in Japan. We were both comfortably able to have our carry on bags out and access them without stumbling over each other. Appears to be a newer hotel - has extra amenities if you forget anything. They have coin laundry which we utilized so pack accordingly if you want to use that. You don’t need laundry detergent as it’s preloaded with some. Some things to note but were not deal breakers for us. Closest metro is an 8-10 min walk. It only comes every 10ish mins so plan accordingly. There are bus stops near by but we found transportation a bit pricier here. The road noise was pretty loud especially at night. Our room faced a street (but I also think it faced part of a building as our window was a “frosted” window because we couldn’t actually see out of it. I did wear earplugs because of this and it was better. Overall it was a very nice hotel, and we would book again if we return

- Omar (10/5): - I heard APA hotels were “cheap hotels”, however this hotel was better than some in the states (US). They had laundry, they’ll hold luggage prior or after check in, they’ll forward your luggage too. Walkable to train station 10 mins. Cafe next door has better breakfast in my opinion but they’re about the same price. Curry place up the road has great food. And burger revolution nearby is a great option too. Family mart and 7- eleven are close too. I would stay again.

All around great experience. The only question I asked myself after checking in was why weren't all of my hotels for this trip as nice.
- Shaan (6/5): - Bed comfort was very poor. Pillows left me with neck pain for the remainder of the trip as they are made of plastic beads. Water and other items are only given on the first day, after that you are charged. Clean hotel. Did find one spider. Not bad for a cheaper hotel.

- Jermaine (8/5): - The stay was just fine. Plenty of amenities near by or available within the hotel. It is on a busy road so beware of the road noise. Racing vehicles and ambulances were a bit of the norm later into the evening. Not the fault of the hotel just be mindful when booking your stay.

Being in Japan, I had higher expectations, however, this was some of the dirtiest carpet I’ve ever experienced in a hotel. My room’s carpet was bad as well as the carpet in the lobby and throughout the building.

- Robert (10/5): - This is a very affordable hotel in central Kyoto. There are several bus options between 1min and 5min from the front door, and a 12min walk to the subway or other bus lines. It was such a relief to walk around this neighbourhood compared to the insanity of the Kawarmachi area. The staff were friendly and helpful.

- Tiara (8/5): - Overall pretty good for the price! The room was very nice, and the staff kept our room really clean and replaced our amenities daily. The breakfast bar was also really good! The biggest downside was that there were only 2 washers and 2 dryers, and they were constantly in use so we had to wait a long time to even start any laundry. Also the dryers don’t work very well so it ended up taking forever and it was expensive to get the clothes dry. It was also a bit inconvenient that there was no microwave in our room.

- AMY (6/5): - The carpet in my hotel room was full of small particles and lots of dust. Also had some left over coffee wrappers from the previous guests. The tub also had some hair that wasn’t mine. Honestly had to wipe everything down to feel more safe. The area around was mediocore, mainly buses around. The hotel breakfast was good, staff was nice. But would not book again because cleanliness is comfort. But this hotel was not able to achieve that.

We had breakfast included in our stay which was good to start the day, quite small selection. We used the washing machines on site which were easy. Value for money was excellent, recommend if you are wanting to stick to a budget but not compromise on the important things.

- Mary Jane (10/5): - Location is prime, we checked in late and loved how the TV in our room displayed our check in/out dates, the day our room was to cleaned, the weather and other pertinent details. It was helpful as soon as you enter the TV comes on when you place your card in the switch to have lights and electricity. Lap it was good and the beds were comfy which is important to weary travellers! We had dinner across the street once at the yakitori place which was incredible and at the ramen place which was OK. Family mart is across the street for drinks and snacks and we even used the microwave and laundry machines in the ground floor. We found it easier to hang dry most of our items in our room since we stayed 4 nights. We also enjoyed the close proximity to coffee shops and the bus stop is right outside the hotel entrance. Would stay here again.

- Kim (6/5): Too small to move - This room would be ok in summer but in cold weather there is no way you can use the outdoor area and huge tub and jet shower so it is a complete waste of room. The only thing we could use this area for is putting our suitcases and clothes out on a bench as there was no way we could fit them in the room. You had to take turns to walk past the bed one at a time the room was so small. The area was reasonable but I was not that impressed with value for money.

- Callum (8/5): Excellent location and nice stay - It was a really nice hotel, super friendly staff and in an excellent location. The rooms had everything you would need, and although ours was small for two, for how long we were in the room it was fine. There were a selection of films and TV in other languages which was a bonus. The floors were not as clean as they could be, but everything else was good. One window was broken so it couldn’t open properly, but the air con was good for stuffy nights.

- Cheryl (8/5): - 20 minuet walk from Kyoto station. A Family Mart is right across the street so you can get anything anytime of day or night. The room windows would not open so no fresh air, the temp control is central so you cannot adjust the temp in your room but it was comfortable temp in the room however if you get hot there is no option they give you a small fan which works but was loud. Staff was really good and very helpful in calling a cab etc. Laundry is great you can wash your clothes and room was clean and they provided fresh towels and robe everyday.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - We accidentally booked the wrong dates originally so the stay ended up costing us more than double the amount of money unfortunately so the price really raised our expectations for the stay. Was far too hot in the rooms as it’s an eco hotel so you can’t control your own heating/cooling. The breakfast has a lot of variety but the eggs are always cold and undercooked and the tofu options have meat in it so there’s not much for vegetarians. Between not being able to sleep in the night due to the heat and tainted vegetarian options I’d say the price tag wasn’t worth it. On the bright side the staff are very friendly and it is clean with frequent housekeeping and a good location.

- Alexander (10/5): - The hotel is freshly renovated so everything is brand new inside. The sink is a bit small but the bathtub is very deep so that is great for hot baths. I got a free room upgrade so I had double the space. To get to the famous shopping area the bus stop for bus 207 is 50 meters to the left of the hotel (50 meters). There is also a supermarket on the main street not that far away. The staff was friendly and spoke fluent English.
- Shenaz (6/5): - No vegetarian food options. Most dishes for breakfast had pork. In the rooms cooling was not working and also they couldn’t fix it or do changes to the controls. Felt suffocation, so we opened the window and had a lot of traffic disturbance, too noisy, was difficult to sleep. Cannot recommend. Was not a peaceful stay
