Randy (10/5): Fantastic trip - Being right on the water. Nurse sharks swimming by. The hospitality The ride out was trecherous and soaking wet. They could have warned us to put better clothing on.
Roberto (10/5): Exceptional - King Lewey’s Island is an incredible place! You will not regret staying on this island for one moment. The staff are amazing and the location is the absolute best I’ve ever been to. Food and drinks are also amazing! My only issue was communication prior to us arriving. We had sent a message via the booking app two days prior to our trip about what time to be at the dock and how to find the dock and never heard back from anyone. We waited for 2.5 hours at the dock for the boat to pick us up. This was disappointing and frustrating.

Chiaki (9/5): Paradise in the ocean! - The location was awesome being surrounded by crystal clear water. You can enjoy the sunrise and sunset from this private island. We saw stingrays, nurse sharks and flounders right from the balcony of our bungalow. Loved to have easy access to Snorkel gears and kayaks. The food they serve at the restaurant was fantastic! The shef cooked the fish we caught any way we wanted and they were sooo delicious! The bartender made the best pinacolada ever according to my son. The staffs there were very friendly and helping.
Jeff (10/5): Hidden treasure (Get it? It's pirate themed...) - The best staff in all of Belize - friendly, helpful, and interesting. The food is exceptional as well. We didn't have high expectations due to the remote location and limited facilities, but every meal was fantastic. The island is fully equipped for everything from games to watersports to relaxing. It was unlike anywhere we had ever been. Our 7-year-old had a blast. Despite being warm it can be windy - some might want a sweater for the evenings.

Maddy (10/5): We loved King Lewey's! - The whole visit was its own experience. The entire staff was friendly, kind, and welcoming from the moment we got there till the moment we got off the boat in Placencia. It was truly a wonderful place. Nothing about the island. I wish the sun had been out more and we'd been able to play on the water more. However, we made the best of it. I was also sad to hear the the water trampoline had been destroyed, so we didn't get to play on that. It's also incredibly difficult to get on the swings when you're short and not strong.

Darby (6/5): true adventure on the open sea. don’t take their boats - the staff was great if you could find them as needed to wasn’t clear how to contact anyone with questions. it is beautiful setting and the rooms are clean and well appointed. we loved Oreo the dog and the parrots Rio and Kiwi. I will never go there again in a king leweys boat. the boats going to the island are not in good working condition and they should not take people in boats that aren’t running top notch. on the way there we had a leak in our gas tank and when I offered to help the captain told me to drive the boat! he couldn’t plug the leak and steer and reach the throttle! it was just me and my disabled daughter on the boat so I was a bit panicked that we might be stuck out there. both ways waters were very rough (which I understand is uncontrollable) and the boat on the way back kept stalling. we had to do a transfer to another boat after the boat finally died in rough open water. 45 min ride took 105 min. we felt like we might capsize with the big waves while we waited for another boat. they should not have taken us back in that boat as they knew it wasn’t running right when it got to the island. the communication about our departure time and checkout was not clear. I asked the night before expecting to leave at 11 or 12 as it says on the website. I was told it was 3 but it was actually 4 (because the boat was so messed up coming out to get us). no one mentioned that we still needed to be out of the room by 1030 until we were in the water going snorkeling and were told we needed to be out by 11. so about 5 hours we just sat around waiting for the slow boat to come and then it stalled in the middle of high seas. I expected to be back in the village by 12 when I booked it and we arrived at 6 pm, almost dark.

Sarah (9/5): lovely cheesy little island! - Wonderful magical little island for families with kids. Great cabanas, great swimming! The boat ride there in choppy seas was an adventure to say the least. Better weather would have made for a totally different experience. The food and drinks are expensive.
Lindsay (10/5): King Lewey’s and it’s staff are unmatched and not to be missed. - My stay at King Lewey’s was incredible. The staff were so welcoming, location unreal and I cannot wait to return to the island. Charmaine and Merary’s hospitality were unmatched and were truly a highlight of my trip that I got to spend time with them. Hugo was incredibly accommodating and super helpful with all of my travel snafus missing flights and getting to the island. Our boat captain was knowledgeable about the location and was a blast during our time to and from the island. The food was some of the best I’ve had in my life - the lobster is not to be missed. They were accommodating with vegan options, a private tour for snorkeling with sharks and any water equipment you could ever need. Not a single thing.
