- Yovka (10/5): -
- Sharon (8/5): - Lovely clean room and great location Not really anything
- Hollie (8/5): A lovely ‘home from home’ style B&B, perfect as a base and lovely grounds - Lovely grounds and spacious room -
- Louise (8/5): Second visit - Location was perfect for our needs
Nice outdoor area
Helpful and friendly hosts
Lovely breakfast
Nice to have milk and water in the fridge Nothing major - one of the drawers had some pants and socks in there, not a big deal but when you have a small child who likes opening all the drawers it was a strange find 😄
Not sure if it's offered, but the menu didn't indicate so - jam/spread and butter with the croissant would have just been a nice extra, and the option for another bread type apart from sourdough.
- Lesley (9/5): - Good location
Very comfortable bed - had a great night’s sleep
- Elaine (10/5): Lovely stay in a spacious clean great log cabin. - I LOVED IT!!! I’ve stayed a lot in March recently, this is by far my favourite place to stay. Would be epic at Christmas time.
Lovely bed, good shower, and lovely surroundings. Adding a small oven in would make it EVEN better but obviously not essential.
- Lorna (10/5): Great stay. - Location was perfect

- Justine (8/5): Overall, very picturesque accommodation and peaceful stay. - Beautiful Accomodation. One of the nicest places I've ever stayed. Perfect for couples, family's, friends and solo travellers alike. Dog friendly too. Comfy bed. And a lovely little hut I stayed in.. The cord on one of the bedrooms blinds was open meaning you could only pull the blind up and not down not great for privacy or sleeping (I used a towel in the end)
I couldn't get hot water. I wasn't in my room that much and I bathed and showered the night before at home so not huge lost I just had a cold wash .I left a note at checkout so they could fix this.
- Alan (8/5): Suited my needs and will be staying again soon - Excellent breakfast brought to the room nice and hot. Comfortable bed , room had view across site to the river. Warm welcome on arrival and staff very helpful. In my view room was too small for family but as a lone occupant it was more than adequate.
- Rob (10/5): Two lovely days topped off by a great breakfast - Right on the water. Quiet and relaxing WiFi wasn’t constant but probably difficult to sort across a large outdoor space
- Paola (9/5): - Nice large room, comfortable bed, excellent bed linen, large bathroom. Very good to have a little fridge in the room and a microwave with plates and cutlery available. Loved the real milk for the tea

While I was visiting family
The grounds are beautiful very well kept clean and tidy .
My phone didn't work on the WiFi but in actually fact it was nice not having to use it . The accommodation just WoW . With a little bit of a garden outside each Shepard's huts .
Lovely inside very homely. Very clean and tidy . Will definitely come again. 🙂 Wasn't much not to like just the WiFi really and that didn't really worry me .

- Sarah (10/5): - I stayed in the shepherd's hut and what a gorgeous little place it was. Compact and bijoux but perfect for myself and Toby the dog. The hut was spotless and so comfortable. There's a lovely walk along the river to March. Deb the owner was great and responded quickly to any questions I had. If I'm in the area I will definitely be staying again. Nothing!

- Michael (10/5): -
- Kenny (10/5): - Private and friendly, comfortable and clean. Breakfast was perfect too.
- Isabella (10/5): Muito bom ! - Gostei da paz que o local proporciona! A cidade depois de certo horário na tem táxi disponível para nós locomovermos ! Para chegar a acomodação temos que passar por uma estrada escura … se chegarmos tarde temos que andar essa estrada deserta a pé !
- Allan (10/5): Exceeded expectations - Large room, separate bathroom , breakfast delivered to room (and excellent quality) Nothing
- Brian (10/5): So relaxing no pressure excellent 👍 - Freedom
Welcome
And generally the no pressure
Breakfast the best 🥰except the causeway 🤣🤣 Heater clicking but that’s new
- Jane (10/5): - Fantastic B&B. Highly recommend. Close to March but in the country. Great host. No problems with Google maps navigation. Good size.
- Roxanne (10/5): -
- Sarah (10/5): -
- Waseem (10/5): - Lovely people, comfy and clean beds and free WiFi.
It wasn't modern like a hotel but had a very homey touch to the place with lovely views.
- nicole (9/5): Peaceful break away. - Great log cabin. Equipt with everything you would need. Heating was a bonus.
Very peaceful and the door delivery of our full English the morning after was an lovely touch. All one level which was great for our senior puppy 🐶. Only mine and my husbands personal preference. (Not a complaint)
This does not bring our experience down.
Would be great if there was a king-size bed rather than a double. (There is room for one) Was comfy and had plenty of pillows.
However we like to stretch out. We are lucky to have a super king at home. So dropping down to a double was a squeeze for us.
This is the only (if we are being picky) we would suggest as a change for the better.
- Laurie (8/5): -
- Julie (7/5): Best place we find to stay in March when visiting family - It’s our regular choice when visiting elderly relatives N/A
- Darren (10/5): Definitely stay again and again.owner was lovely - The place was perfect in every way!!
If in the area again will definitely stay even within a 20 mile radius we would travel here.
Breakfast was first class also The property was excellent
- Will (9/5): Peaceful location with great atmosphere. - We were welcomed to the property by a lovely host. All the facilities we needed were included. The beds were very comfy but the only issue was the duvets were incredibly thick so we found it best not using them for the most part as it was too hot for us. The bathroom and kitchen were well equipped and the living space was plenty big enough for the four of us. The river was a short walk from the accommodation too. This location is amazing for people who like to kayak or canoe or for wild swimmers. It's very peaceful yet there is a Tesco and Aldi 5 minutes away with lots of other shops available too.
- Angie.1 (9/5): An enjoyable stay. - I had breakfast 1 morning and it was great, piping hot and covered, brought to my room with a smile. The hosts were very friendly and caring. I was given details about a walk to the lake and the code to come back through the gate.
There was info in my room about local shops etc and a website to use for other things needed. My room was clean and tidy, complete with kettle, water, milk and a fridge. There was the use of a microwave, plates and cutlery for having a meal. A great place to stay near my friend I visited. Parking my car nearer to my room, though it was fine where it was.
- Claudia (1/5): Pay attention - after a long road trip, we wanted to stop here to rest, so I booked the room in the late afternoon.
We got stuck in traffic and been told that we can't check in after 9 pm. Despite that, the room was already paid. The property advised us to cancel the booking and still refuse to refund us.
We had to reserve and pay for another accommodation in the next town.
- Rebecca (10/5): We had a wonderful stay and will definitely be back - Absolutely beautiful location for our stay. Our shepherds hut was perfection, immaculate, cosy and with everything we could have needed. Nothing at all.
- Diana (10/5): - The staff were really friendly and helpful. The shepherds hut was very nice. Very clean & comfortable, and breakfast was delicious.
- Ron (9/5): Quirky, enjoyable accommodation, close to amenities. - Ideal, quirky accommodation. Everything you need for an overnight stop. Would suit longer stay for two people. Nothing.
- Mags (10/5): Excellent - Was easy to find despite the sat nav taking is further than we needed. But the staff couldn't have been better, friendly and helpful, and the room had everything needed Was nothing to improve on
- James (9/5): Quality accommodation in a pleasant location. - Really good use of the space. Well equipped with quality fixtures and fittings and very clean. We really like the use of a vintage dresser as a stand for the bathroom sink. Nice location with a river walk close by to exercise the dog. Plentiful parking. The breakfast was excellent too. We highly recommend the Fourwinds apartment. A bit noisy in the morning due to the campers queuing for the showers.
- Guest (10/5): Four mates walking to Lincoln from Chelmsford for charity. Was the perfect respite from the road. - Delicious! Was perfect for our needs.
- james (10/5): Friendly and welcoming - Clean and tidy , friendly and welcoming members of staff. N/A

- Sally (10/5): Fabulous stay - Wow what a lovely place. All the staff I encountered were really friendly helpful and nice. Accommodation great. Location for me was perfect. Loved the river at the bottom of the property. A really well thought out place. Hidden Gem. Nothing it was great
- Alan (10/5): A perfect overnight stay - No noise to disturb our sleep and a good breakfast, served from 07:30. Overnight storage for our bikes. We were tired after cycling 50 miles against the wind so it was very useful to be able to order a takeaway with plates and cutlery provided by our hosts. We prefer a firmer mattress but still slept well.
- Mark (10/5): A nice place to stay for an overnight stop - Service was good, room nice and clean. Bathroom excellent. All was good
- Louise (10/5): Excellent stay! - Beautiful place, lovely accommodation and site was very clean.
Would definitely come back again.
- Martin (10/5): Lovely shepherd hut in nice surroundings - Really nice site, the shepherds hut had all we needed including a great shower. Nice surroundings to chill out in.
- Fernando (8/5): -
- Rose (10/5): Absolutely Fabulous!! - Superb welcome, I have a spot for cats especially one that looks like my late tabby, saw it first ,Jeffa and we made friends,,, The room was exceptional, the surrounds including the lake were seriously comforting, especially since I was only there for the night and going to a beloved family member funeral... the grounds are lush and gorgeous and I got to go all around. I look forward to booking again for atleast a week. All the staff were lovely. Only thing is that I am a smoker, there were no signs in the room saying you cannot smoke, I was afraid to light up incase the smoke alarm went on. But I was happy I was in the ground floor so I had easy access to the front door to go outside and smoke,
