• Marigona (10/5): Ideal country getaway - This flat was exactly what we needed for our short trip for a wedding. Where we live in London, this lovey little spot was fantastic for escaping the city and having a well deserved break. Surrounded by fields, the serenity and quietness of the location just made me fall in love with the country even more. The flat was the perfect size for a couple with all of the facilities you would need and where we arrived so late on the first night we were still able to order a takeaway and have the driver find us really easy. This was just what we needed after a busy week of work and a space to reenergise after the wedding. Gillie was also fantastic as a host and the flat was well looked after.

• Philippe (7/5): - Nice location for exploring the Costwold area Rural environment Good size accommodation Reliable wifi We chose this accommodation because the description mentioned a washing machine as we were on a 4 weeks road trip and we needed to make our washing sometimes. But we were unable to access it despite there was one just next door for all guests. The host did not look helpful, she pretended that the machine was working all day and there wasn't a time slot for us (despite we paid for it). Then at a very late time, probably with remorse, she knocked on our door offering the machine but too late as we checked out the following morning at early time! Hosts look to offer limited features to guests: just 2 towels in total (no face towels) no welcome coffee (just tea) no mop or sponge for dish washing or wiping the kitchen Was a shame not to enjoy the outdoors as there was no outdoor furniture (as for instance a bistro table and chairs) The sunny side door of the accommodation was locked so no access

• Bruce (9/5): Wonderful place. - Wonderful place near Cirencester. Just far enough off the beaten path to be very quiet and just the sheep to listen to. 2 stories with the living area below. Well stocked kitchen and host that took care of any needs. Beautiful manor house and grounds. Need to watch for low beams upstairs, but that is part of its charm.
• Birte (7/5): Nice apartment... but one big no-go! - We spent three nights. The apartment is beautiful and fully equipped. Bedroom and bathroom upstairs. Kitchen complete with all you might need (only thing missing is a freezer). Quiet surroundings, outside the village, sheep nearby. Many books and a folder with recommended sights in the area available. Pub and bus stop in 10min walking distance (though not frequent); Ampney Crucis village about 15min walking. Not far from Cirencester (nice town!) and many of the typical Cotswolds villages. No views form the apartment (a courtyard on one side, not useable, and garages / sheds on the other side). No place / option to sit outside. Communication by email difficult/delayed (didn´t work through booking.com), phone calls worked better. Host (lives on the property) not overly friendly, we didn´t feel very welcome. A big no-go: the apartment / house is for sale and they had someone come and look at it. On our second day, we were informed 90 min before the appointment (by mail, which we couldn´t read as we were out in the countryside, walking the Cotswolds) that they will enter our apartment (and we should have the bed tidy). There was no attempt to call us. As we returned in the evening we noticed that somebody (obviously the host and guest, as we eventually read in the email) had entered the apartment - cushions were rearranged, garbage gone etc.. We did not like this at all and think it is inappropriate to do so without consent. There was no excuse (when we met on our last day), and we did not address it before, as we were afraid that we might be asked to leave. So despite the nice apartement, we won´t book it again.
• Richard (8/5): Very good - Everything was nice and compact. Easy trips into Cirencester and surrounding villages. Bed was comfy and bedroom/toilet spacious. The amenities were plenty. There was no seating area outside to enjoy breakfast or a coffee on a sunny morning. A little bistro set or something would have great.

• Mia (9/5): Would stay here again! - It was lovely to wake up to the sun shining and the sheep bleating in the field There were a few cobwebs and creepy crawlies in the property, also the postcode took us to a different road at first but we found it in the end.
