• Prindha (10/5): - The place is beautiful. You could hear the insects at night. The night sky is beautiful with the sound of the river flowing. Very peaceful. Dogs are friendly. Room is comfortable. Do take all your catering needs with, there are no shops close by. Did feel remote, however there are electric fencing and gates. The 3 plate.stove not the best quality and does heat up underneat as well.. Maybe look at an alternative for safety. The stay was too short. Will definitely be back.

• Andile (7/5): - Great stay. Beautiful location and very spacious. Just a few items were not cleaned, and the dogs are also loose so be prepared to have them sniff you and run to you lol. But overall, perfect. Will definitely come here again. :)

• Sabrina (10/5): Wonderful stay, well maintained property and picturesquely located. Very helpful hosts. - Shortly before our arrival, we were informed that there had been a double booking and that our accommodation had already been assigned. This was, of course, frustrating, as it is not easy to find an alternative just ten minutes before arrival, especially around the holidays and when you are planning a braai and have already bought all the supplies. The owner was very kind and offered us her private home instead. After the initial shock, our stay was wonderful. The property is very well maintained and picturesquely located directly on the river. The house was excellent, the braai facilities were great, and the hosts were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The double booking caused by Booking.com was unfortunate; however, it was not the fault of the hosts.

Getting there , I don’t know how many times we passed the place because we couldn’t see it clearly , a bigger board written “ The Good Host “ would come in handy , it’s a high way , one can get hit by cars or rather cause accidents

• An (10/5): Well-Equipped, Comfortable Stay with Lovely Surroundings - The place is absolutely immaculate and nestled within a beautifully maintained garden that adds a serene and welcoming charm. The kitchen is impressively well-equipped with everything you could possibly need for a comfortable and convenient stay. All the rooms are generously spacious, making it easy to relax and unwind. A lovely touch was the high-quality soaps provided in the bathrooms — a small detail that really enhanced the overall experience. The property is situated near a busy road with frequent truck traffic, which I initially thought might be a concern. However, the lush garden view quickly draws your attention away from it, and once inside, the rooms are well insulated — we could not hear any noise at all. They’ve also cleverly preserved a small cluster of pine trees, which likely helps buffer the sound. Overall, the setting still feels peaceful and relaxing. It was also a bit of a pity that we didn’t have access to the large fire bowl shown in the photos. That said, the Weber provided was more than adequate for having a great braai.

• Kobus (7/5): Neat and tidy. We enjoyed our stay a lot. - Location was great. Finishing of the rooms were stunning and upmarket. We would suggest that kitchen towels should be provided and coasters for the wooden tables cause we don't like to put the wet glasses on the wooden tables. And maybe place matts for dining.
• Ben (3/5): Not Impressed. - Well situated with beautiful views next to the river. No signs or proper direction to get to the place. No name board at gate. Google maps and Waze did not pick up the location. Had to phone and ask where they are. When you enter the premissed there is no directions and no reception area.

• Eric (7/5): Beautiful location, clean, safe, quiet. Lacking basics like a table to eat at and kitchen utilities. - Right on the river. Such a beautiful location in the valley. Worth making it home to see the sunset. Quiet, safe and peaceful. The place feel brand new with a super comfy, big bed, great airco. Nice finishes and bathroom. It’s a little misleading that the braai/fireplace/dining area looks like it’s part of the apartments which isn’t not. It was about 30m from the one bedroom which was a bit disappointing as we had to run in the rain both evenings of our stay. I’m just glad there didn’t seem to be other guests at the time so we had it to ourselves. The patio at the apartment is big enough for a table and chairs, but there isn't anywhere to eat in the place aside from the shared braai area. The chairs on the deck are not comfortable to sit on for too long. Without a basic table and chairs on the patio it’s clumsy and uncomfortable to sit on the deck and enjoy a glass or wine or a snack. It rained both nights so we really could have used some of these basic furnishings. The kitchen is lacking basics. No frying pan to make breakfast with. We couldn’t find tongs or a dish for the braai meat. Teeny tiny coffee cups and one mug. Too few plates and teaspoons. The stay in general was so enjoyable, but making/having meals and not having a table to sit at and have a glass of wine in the evenings as we didn’t want to run in the rain spoilt the experience for us.

Entrance to the property from Mbombela direct is hazardous at night as stopping to turn in to the property poses a collision hazard with many trucks on the N4.

• Edzani (9/5): it was peaceful - I love the location, the peace an quiet, the friendly staff and how easy they make themselves scarce. I love my four legged friends but at times it felt a bit too much. they can come visit but once in a while not all the time. i think we were spoiling them with food as well. no stove :-(

• Talana (10/5): Peaceful lovely and very relaxing. I will visit here again. - The setting was located on a lovely flowing river. It was very tranquil and peaceful. There was space to walk and clear your mind. The sunset over the valley was beautiful. The cottage was immaculate. Dogs roaming free. I love animals but feel any visitors must be made aware of the dogs running free on the property. The dogs were very friendly but some people are not comfortable with big dogs running free on their weekend away.

• Noxolo (9/5): I wished we stayed longer - A hidden gem.. Friendly and personal service, Linds was welcoming, no request for assistance was a problem for her. She went over and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. The house was clean, very comfortable, it gets more breathtaking when you take a walk in the garden towards the river. The views are amazing, a great escape from the city life. Definitely coming back and telling friends about it
