Guest Reviews
- Andrè (4/5): A memorable once-off experience - The staff were extremely friendly and helpful
Appreciated the history, legacy and heritage Bed very uncomfortable
Breakfast quite awful
- John (10/5): - Neat place
Comfortable Nothing
- Hesse (8/5): Nice peacefull environment. Clean rooms nice food. - Very nice breakfast. Nothing. It was a very nice hotel
- Anlen (7/5): -
- Anja (8/5): -
- Elsabé (5/5): Been in better 4 star hotels. - Nice big towels in the bathroom. Room was clean. Staff are friendly. They made an effort to put me in a double room after I was allocated a room with twin beds. The room I booked did indicate that it is a double room. No fridge and water in the room. For a 4 star hotel they could have provided cold bottled water. No shower cap, luckily I brought my own. View was of the roof below.🙁
- Aubrey (8/5): nice - location noise from street
- Elisabeth Kretschmer (8/5): - Architecture Bathroom very small and bedroom a bit tired in comparison with beautiful reception rooms
- Aletta (10/5): -
- ARNO (8/5): Great location in centre of town. - Location and convenience Nothing really, the hotel is a bit worn as far as furniture etc is concerned
- Charl Klerksdorp (9/5): - Location is great. Room and Hotel was very neat and clean. Breakfast was very good. Staff friendly and respectful. Restaurant on premises. Other restaurants in same street. No DSTV. No Hot water in shower. Water was warm but not hot. Some of the dishes on restaurants menu was a bit pricey compared to Spur opposite the street, however the food that I ordered was very good and succulent.

- Carley (1/5): Awful stay. I actually want a refund for breakfast because there was almost nothing go eat. I had to buy breakfast the s - Nothing - worst stay. This should not be a four hotel, 2 star at best Everything basically. Breakfast is almost non existing. One room was not clean- bed was not made. Two bed room had one town.

- Michael (10/5): -
- Nell (8/5): -
- Margaret (8/5): - Central in town . Road to the hotel blocked for an event on both ends of the road. It was a rainy night and very difficult to navigate to get to the hotel. Unable to contact or get somebody to pick up the phone and instruct me on how to get into the property.
- Ewert Bohnen (9/5): - Perfect spot for the festival. Massive, clean, spacious suite (like a two bedroom apartment). Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. They bent over backwards to accommodate us. It took two days to unblock the shower. The dinner at the hotel restaurant was overpriced for what you get
- Lana (9/5): -

- Masuku (8/5): Great stay. I enjoyed it. - The location was great and the area felt safe and comfortable. Parking space was also good. The arrangement for early morning breakfast for us as runners was a good gesture 👌. More variety on the restaurant's evening menu.
- Cecilia (9/5): -
- Memory (10/5): We enjoyed our stay! - Its proximity to the centre of Town. Nothing.
- De Klerk (7/5): -
- Peter (2/5): Trotz 2 Einzelbetten gebucht, nur Queensize Bett. - Gutes Restaurant Direkt an 4 spuriger Strasse - extrem laut, sehr kleines Bad
- Celeste (7/5): Overall it was fine, though slightly overpriced which reflects the historical nature of the building - Liked the historical aspect of the hotel, plus a lovely pool. The bed was very comfortable, and off street parking was appreciated Seems we had the room furthest from everywhere, internet was very slow. Very limited tea and milk supplies.
There were no tissues in the room, and no hotel guide to services. Rooms facing the street are quite noisy
- Prashant (10/5): - Staff was amazing and very accommodating
- Reedy (9/5): -
- Tyler (6/5): - Friendly service , lovely courtyard , safe parking and very clean rooms. Inadequate items - I booked a room for 4 people - only 1 toilet roll and 2 towels provided , so I had to request more. Breakfast buffet limited.
- Shelsley (8/5): A comfortable stay, value for money - Overall a good experience and value for money. Food was good, staff were friendly and helpful, everything was clean. We enjoyed the historical character of the hotel. They even offered an early morning breakfast pack for everyone who was running the marathon on Saturday morning Our room faced the main road and there were no net curtains in the windows to provide privacy - anyone could see in from the street opposite, especially with the lights on in the room; no burglar bars on the windows either so we couldn't leave them open at night.

- Christelle (3/5): Disappointed, unfortunately. - We loved the staff and the history behind the hotel. Unfortunately, this is as far as the love goes. Rooms need maintenance, the lift did not work, the TV does not have a variety of channels - none - (do not expect even a limited DSTV package) - travelling with kids you need a TV especially in the family room where we stayed, aircon did not cool, only one of the windows had a sheer curtain to cover, coffee and tea were not refilled for our stay. Carpets and upholstery are in serious need of a deep clean, or even better, a replacement. For the price you pay, definitely not the offering you'd expect.
- Sipho (9/5): Excellent stay. Everything was perfect - I didn't book for breakfast. Everything was great for a 1 night stay
- Mziwamadoda (8/5): -
- thandiwe (8/5): Great - Well located and value for money Nothing

- taz (5/5): - Looks cute from outside and close to restaurants. Has a big shower. If not for the issues we experienced, it would have been fine. The adjoining door to the next room was left unlocked. We opened the door to check where the door led to and walked into someone else's room who was asleep. Staff was very nonchalant about it. When my partner went to advise that the door was unlocked, the receptionist gave the key to my partner to lock the door and bring the key back to him.
The phone in the room either didn't work properly or no one answers it at reception.
The aircon in the room dripped water continuously. It soaked the carpet which also smelled damp. We were already in bed so did not walk all the way to reception again to try to have the issue sorted.
- Luwayne (8/5): -
- Chanel (9/5): Great accommodation for our overnight stay. - Beautiful historical building. Accommodation was wonderful and staff very friendly and helpful.
Pool was an added bonus 🤩
- Elme (7/5): -
- Riaan (10/5): The Chief at the Queens. - I loved the atmosphere of home. I loved the welcoming and the service. Thank you Queens Hotel
- Neelu (5/5): - It was okay for an overnight stay. The toilet was very cramped. The breakfast was very simple. There was a fly over the food. The buffet containers seemed that they were not cleaned properly
- David (7/5): -
- Niovi (9/5): - We enjoyed very much our stay. Historic building, clean rooms, polite staff and an excellent restaurant for dinner.
- Winfried (7/5): -
- Faldielah (8/5): A pleasant stop over in the Karoo. Lovely restuarant and staff - The property was in a good location. It had a very good restuarant called The Colony. The rooms were far too small. In the bathroom a very small hand basin. No complimentary vanity set. Air conditioner was not working.
- Johannes (8/5): - Friendly staff
- Ernest (8/5): - Good option if you like historical hotels with a nod to the past. General good value for money. Reception was helpful in booking for us at the Cango Caves.
- Daniel (5/5): Fuja dessa fria! - Somente da localização. A acomodação é pessima: colchão velho, duro e deformado. Café da manhã sofrível com pão duro e poucas opções. Cheiro de fritura pelo hotel e na sala de café.
- Andy (8/5): - Secure parking for my motorcycle. N/A.
- John (7/5): -
- Elina (10/5): -
- Pindiwe (10/5): Absolutely lovely, the Accomodation was lovely, the staff were amazing and it was a great choice. - It’s a classic with it’s beautiful furnishings Nothing
- Du Preez (8/5): Great stay - breakfast was a bit uncoordinated but still good - Clean good facilities Properly good
- Hannelie (5/5): Will not book there again. - The location was good. Old wooden floors. Could hear people walking on top floor all night long. Tv not good although there were three.
