Guest Reviews
- Barbara (10/5): - We had a great, quiet stay, exactly what we were looking for. I love the historical house, the room was spacious and comfortable. We ate takeout barbecue on the outdoor patio!
- Anne (8/5): - The room was very clean. We were unable to enjoy the breakfast as it was scheduled for 8 to 10 a.m. which later than our planned departure to get to the St. Jacob's Farmer's Market for it's opening time at 7:00 a.m. An earlier offering of the breakfast would have been better for our stay.
- Iris (8/5): Charming - We had a great night at the inn. I appreciate the cleanliness and fresh sheets. There’s no funky smell in the room.
The inn was very charming and we even met other guests during breakfast.
- Douglas (10/5): - The room was clean and comfortable. The furnishings included information on the builder and owners. The breakfast supplies were good and included cereal, yogurt, bagels, juice and a Keurig coffee maker. W would stay again the next time in the Kitchener-Waterloo area.
- Anthony (10/5): - Beautiful old heritage home. Cleanliness excellent. Location very good to everything…host very engaging and an historian in his own right.
- Leilanie (10/5): Historical and whimsical decor - Homey and cozy atmosphere.
- Brian (8/5): - Beautiful old home with great character. The only suggestion I would make is that the rooms had dust on some of the decorative objects as well as the ceiling fan blades. Very clean otherwise.
- Robert (10/5): Great place to stay - Everything was wonderful, easy to get in and out. Clean room and good breakfast. The only thing I would like to see is at least 1 rack to put luggage on, 2 would be fabulous.
- Jim (10/5): - We really enjoyed Bristow's Inn. It was comfortable and well.set up.it was a unique experience because it is what I call remote and it worked very well. There was no one to check you in. Prior to leaving,we received a cde for the front door and one for your room. Things were set out in the diningroom for the continental breakfast. Loved the experience.
- Lanlan (10/5): - Beautiful house with a bus stop nearby, also lots of parking space. The host is super friendly and responsive. The breakfast is great served with simple but tasty bread and cereal. Little fridge has water provided which is super nice and thoughtful. Thank you very much.
- Frank (10/5): - We enjoyed every thing about the property thanks
- Sophia (10/5): - The owner & staff were very kind and friendly! Check in and out process is very easy. Room was decorated so nicely and felt very calm and welcoming. Everything was clean as well. Thanks for a lovely stay!
- Bandana (10/5): - Very well organized and comprehensive service. The room was very comfortable and clean. We could not find a recycling or compost bin in the kitchenette and would suggest addition of these.
- Kathryn N (8/5): - Thankfully they were available by phone, as access to the property isn’t easy to find.
- Steven (10/5): - Great...
- Ryleigh (8/5): - very beautiful and cozy place! bed and pillows were little hard but other than that it was lovely!
- Annette (10/5): - Very kind and personable staff - both in person and through text messages.
- JIE (10/5): A unique,Cozy Inn - This inn is truly unique, featuring a classic Victorian style with carefully curated interior decor and a strong sense of homeliness. The rooms are clean and tidy, and the breakfast is plentiful and nutritious, making the stay especially pleasant. The only downside is that the air conditioning is a bit noisy.
- Rosemary (10/5): - It was a lovely place.
- Janet (10/5): - Super stay- awesome breakfast
- Christine (8/5): - We enjoyed our stay. Thank you.
- Dale (10/5): - Beautiful heritage house with authentic feel but modern amenities. Welcoming. We enjoyed the touches that gave us a sense of the family and its pride in the property.
- Joepriya (10/5): - Thank you for the hospitality
- Domenico (10/5): - Great place! Felt like home. Perfect location, close to St Jacobs, Elora, Fergus.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Amazing B and B, clean and well organized.
- Terry (10/5): Gothic Style Inn in Elmira - We enjoyed the location and the Inn is an older building with alot of character and furnished to suite. It provides some charm with the small town feel of Elmira.
- Frederick (10/5): - The A/C vent in our room was barely blowing any air, outside the room and in other rooms was 5 degrees colder.
Our bed was so firm we didn't get much sleep,
But everything else was fantastic, breakfast great, the decor of this 160 years old building very nice, full facilities.
We will be rebooking next year in a different room too in joy the town of Elmia and the St Jacobs farmer Market
- Pramod (10/5): - Nice old antique house very clean. Good continental breakfast. Close to Elora downtown. We loved it
- Kimberly (10/5): - I absolutely LOVED my stay at Bristow’s Inn. It was comfortable and relaxing.
- Lisa (10/5): - Beautiful historic home with so much charm. Our room was so beautiful and comfortable. Hosts were so kind and accommodating. Loved our stay.
- Andres (10/5): - Our stay was absolutely flawless from start to finish! The entire process, from booking to check-out, was seamless and stress-free. We were very impressed with the amenities, which were all excellent and well-maintained. The thoughtful extras like toothbrushes and lotions were a wonderful touch and truly made us feel at home. And the breakfast was a definite highlight – such a fantastic variety of delicious options to choose from! We highly recommend this property.
- Peggy (8/5): - Quaint
- Youlin (10/5): - Beautiful Historical house.
- Kenneth (10/5): - Quaint and interesting . Can't comment on staff ,... never saw one .
- Matthew (10/5): - Excellent accommodations, nice breakfast and friendly staff.
- Beth (6/5): - The house was very cute. Would have liked to meet the owners and other guests. We had a nice room although the bedpost sat right in the middle of the TV which was strange.
- Sharon (10/5): - It was a pleasure staying at an Inn with such great history. I am impressed by how the host has kept and decorated the house reminding the guests of its history. Breakfast was terrific especially with a variety of fresh fruits and cereal choices. Room was clean and comfy. Definitely recommended!!
- Stephanie (10/5): - A beautiful property and lovely hosts!
- Robert (8/5): - Generous breakfast options. It was nice chatting with other travellers at the breakfast table, swapping life stories
- Renate (6/5): - We were disappointed with the breakfast. No one there to ask or get help. Everything self serve. Fresh fruits were in the fridge, but it was not washed. So the last day we had to go out for breakfast. In the room was a broken mug, not visible, so when I made tea the hot water went right out of the hole and made a mess.
- JOHN (4/5): - Was close to St. Jacob’s which is what we were looking for.
Accommodation was below our expectations.
- Stuart (10/5): - Great location…comfortable room…breakfast was great.
- Susan (10/5): - Unique old home
- Yu Chieh (10/5): - Lovely stay!! Warm, cozy and super cute! The table was set up nicely already when I went downstairs to get my breakfast. Plenty of entertainment, me and my friends had a really great and relaxing time
- RADOSLAW (10/5): One of a kind. Try it yourself. - Amazing stay in a well maintained old house.
- Wieland (8/5): - Very nice property! An egg for breakfast was missing and the room could have a plug in nightlight. But these are small complaints in comparison to the beauty and quiet rest that we found there!
- Mark (8/5): - The property was good, in a busy area of the town. A little hard to notce from the street.
Owner and staff at the B&B were great with great service.
Our room was very hot. The heat was not controllable in our room. Other rooms may be different. Bed was comfortable. Extra pillows would be nice.
Overall, pleasant.
- Lisa (10/5): - Had a great stay. Lovely home with beautiful rooms. Would definitely recommend to anyone staying in this area.
- James (10/5): - Excellent accommodations!! Great continental breakfast!! Lots of parking !! Quite and peaceful!!
- Janet (10/5): - The room was comfortable and attractive. A charming place to spend a few days.
- Sandy (10/5): - I've stayed at the before, just one night. This time was 3 nights. Everything was wonderful and I would highly recommend the inn to others!
- Melanie (10/5): - This is one of the loveliest B&B’s I have stayed in. The house itself is adorable, little touches like a carafe of cold water and bubbly drinks in the fridge, and having the charming James keep me company over my morning coffee are all very much appreciated. We will stay there whenever we are in KW.
- Lorraine (10/5): - Beautiful old restored home. Front room was a little noisy - main road in front . Lots of shared space, and bathrooms were all very modern. Lots of HOT water! Owners were so friendly and helpful - breakfast options were plentiful, healthy and varied. Great coffee choices too! . Walking distance to downtown restaurants. Easy access to G2G bike trail.
- Peter (8/5): - Appreciated the uniqueness of the property. Maybe make a microwave available somewhere. Otherwise, overall a nice property in a good central location.
- Michael (8/5): - This is a nice comfortable budget friendly B&B. Very conveniently located to do day trips to lots of quaint places. Fresh fruit, yogurt, pastries and local jams were some of the breakfast offerings and the coffee was fresh and hot each morning. This was a great place to stay.
- JUAN (8/5): - Everything’s good except the noise of the refrigerators. It’s getting much louder every few minutes which affects sleep quality.
- STEVEN (8/5): Great location - Great spot near st Jacob’s and Market. The bed in our room was very hard,
- Viet (10/5): - easy check in, very friendly owner and staff
- Frederik (10/5): Nice stay - Convenient and cozy.
- Sandy (10/5): - I loved the quiet setting. My room was super clean, had lovely furnishings, bed was comfy, and it was awesome to have a private bathroom! Breakfast was perfect, with lots of choices. Had a great chat with Elizabeth!
Would definitely stay here again!
- Priya (10/5): - It was a beautiful property - inside and out - with a beautiful garden. We loved reading and hearing about the history and original owners. The breakfast with the other guests was lovely.
