Guest Reviews
- Dragan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Elle (10/5): Great! - Everything was excellent, I was very satisfied. Nice studio, comfortable bed, possibility to cook, close to the centre, very helpful and very kind reception people, any problem, very safety. -
- Lionel (7/5): Cost effectiv Studio stay - Fast wifi, fully furnished kitchen. Big screen TV. Big window.
Big Common areas with pool table. Need to take garbage to room in basement quite smelly.
- Rhiannon (1/5): Bad - Wasn’t clear that it’s only student accommodation on certain months of the year. We got told the night before we were suppose to arrive.
- Taha (7/5): Good - Location Cleanliness
- Zuleykha (10/5): Good - Location was good and the room was comu At first some misunderstanding because I was not student, just came for graduation
- Jula (10/5): Exceptional -
- Annette (7/5): Good -
- Mcqr (7/5): Comfy stay - It's a short walk to the city center and bus station. The location is pretty quiet, so you can get a good sleep. It's good value if you are staying long because you have a kitchen available and laundry. The room was not very clean when I arrived, the kitchen had crumbs all over the top and floor.
- Sofia (6/5): Not value for money - The amenities . Nice sitting area and the city centre was 10-15 minutes walk. The room was not clean . Also the towels had stamps on them . No toilet paper was not available so we had to walk to the closest store to buy some. The mattress was old and not comfy at all .
- Sasha (8/5): Very good -
- Brandon (10/5): Exceptional - Super friendly staff. Great location and well equipped apartment.
- Jm (9/5): Good choice for a few days in Glasgow - The room and bed were comfortable. Building is very secure. Great location, close to Buchanan station and a 15 min walk to George Square. Would stay again. One area for improvement would be the kitchen. The garbage bin was overflowing and I don't think anyone emptied it for the 4 day I was there. The tables in the kitchen were not clean either, I cleaned myself to make things hygienic and be able to eat at a table. The fridge was clean though and the kitchen was spacious.
- Y (8/5): Very good - Nice and quiet I got locked out late one night when there was nobody at reception for over 30 minutes when my key wasn't working and I had to wait for someone else who was getting in late to let me in
- Laurine (8/5): Value for money. It was part of a University accommodation building. - Front desk was manned and our room was available early. It was a studio apartment but there was no cooking or eating utensils. But the staff quickly found some utensils for us to use.
Our bed had an exposed spring but the staff did not have a spare mattress so just apologised and turned the mattress over. Actually quite a comfortable bed.
The cleaning arrangement was after 6 days the apartment would be serviced. Broom etc was available from the ground floor but not even a broom in the unit.
- Peter (6/5): Pleasant -
- Ho (7/5): Good -
- Dugald (8/5): Loved it - Room was great. Only one fork. Lousy cooking pan.
- Yvonne (7/5): University studio apartment in a good position. - Good position near the bus station with a Tesco Express close by. Very helpful and pleasant receptionists - 24 hours. Excellent laundry facilities. The bed was comfortable This was student accommodation rented out in the uni vacation. It was a studio apartment in the Caledonian University so the previous student had moved out and the new student was not yet coming into the residence. The facilities in the studio apartment were very poor. No microwave, mismatched crockery (2 plates, 2cups, 2 sets of cutlery) one saucepan and one frying pan. It was obvious that the students supplied their own cutlery, crockery and microwave. If being available for the uni holidays for holiday makers then better facilities should be included. Very detailed check-in information that I had to supply but I understand that as a university they had to maintain security.
- Mahbub (10/5): It was a wonderful stay. - When we entered our room, it felt welcoming, specious and clean. Every effort was made to make our stay comfortable and convenient. There was nothing really wrong with the property.
- Noelia (7/5): Correct - The service of the people in the reception was perfect. The kitchen was dirty, especially the oven. It has to be taken into account that the property is a student residence, so it was a bit noisy at night.
- Calmariagreen (8/5): A nice place to stay, but .. - Well located, supermarket close to bus and train station. Apartment with all facilities. Friendly staff. Bed linen wasn't clean. We needed to ask for a new one and change it. It looks that the room wasn't checked after the last customer left
Our key stopped working with 5 days of staying, and we waited almost 1h to get the receptionist
No hair dryer available.
- Martin (10/5): Great place! - The staff was awesome! Bryan is a total rockstar!.. the place has everything you need, and more. Everything was great.
- Fijak (10/5): Awesome place, great location. - The STAFF was amazing!!! They were so attentive, responsive, kind and personable. 5 ⭐ Nothing... But the mattresses are kinda hard.
- Elaine (10/5): Very enjoyable - Very near to Queen Street station, and close to main shops, very convenient Tesco around the corner, I use a Mobility Scooter but there’s a lot of doors to go through I managed it but it really needs to be more inclusive,
More information is needed as though there as a kitchen there was no cutlery, I did manage to get over this.
- Ulrike (5/5): Very mixed review. Safe but some features not helping to feel comfortable. - Room itself was of good size. The location is good. It feels safe. The window was broken, so I could not close it. This was an issue, since it was facing the street and the traffic noise kept me awake. The issue was fixed the next day.
Use of kitchen is, in principle, good. But without any crockery or cutlery it doesn't quite work.
Pillows were not very nice.
- Seher (7/5): Good - I liked the location and the room in general. The floor of the room was really dirty. I cleaned it myself.
- Michael (8/5): Very good -
- Eoin (10/5): Good value - Staff were very helpful, and it was clean and central.
- Chris (8/5): Very good - Rooms were good Beds could be more comfortable
- Elisabeth (7/5): Good - Modern and good location. Reception staff.
Refused to empty kitchen bin and remove expired food from previous guests.
- Jose (8/5): Very good -
- Caroline (7/5): Student accommodation which suited my needs while volunteering at the World Cycling Championships. - A good location close to the city centre. Pleasant student room with en-suite. Fully equipped kitchen. The bathroom light and fan came on as soon as you entered the room and stayed on for 10 minutes afterwards. A huge waste of electricity, unnecessary and extremely annoying, particularly when you rarely needed to put the light on in there anyway. The mattress was rather lumpy. The shower plug hole was clogged up with the previous occupant’s hair.
- Olga (7/5): Good - Very pleasant staff. Really close to the city center. There is no hair dryer in the room but you can borrow one from reception. There was no bin in my room. The smell in the bathroom was not nice.
- Barbara (10/5): Exceptional -
- Holly (10/5): Exceptional -
- Daniel (9/5): Superb -
- Chengfa (8/5): Very good -
- Ryan (8/5): Very good -
- Trevor (8/5): Very good -
- Jonathan (6/5): Ok if you want to save a little money on accommodation. - Good location, good facilities, very clean Staff could have explained the facilities very briefly on arrival. None of the stoves or ovens in the kitchen worked and I had to ask the staff at the reception twice before they were willing to have a look at it.
- Órla (7/5): Really enjoyed it - fantastic location and great value for money! - Location was excellent. So many facilities (pool table, air hockey, cinema room). Staff very friendly Room wasn't cleaned before we arrived, although host got it sorted straight away. Pillows on bed were awful.
- Jihui (7/5): Good -
- Harout (8/5): Very good -
- Nestor (7/5): Good -
- Marinella (5/5): Passable -
- Richard (3/5): very poor condition and maintenance - flies in the kitchen spread into my bedroom.
shower overflowed onto bathroom floor
bedroom door did not lock from inside
- Wei (9/5): Superb -
- Pierre (10/5): Just great, go for it! - Fantastic staff, very welcoming and helpful. They have answers and they come with a smile! The room was large and super well equipped. There were some kitchen wares too, along with some breakfast food and drinks in the room. The facility is extremely well equipped too, with pingpong tables, pool tables, a gym, a cinema room, etc.. Really fantastic. Nothing bad to say. It really was one of the best places I have stayed at.
- Jenny (8/5): brilliant. would say again in the holidays as no students. - it was amazing. staff were fab. so kind. great faculties. they 100% need to change the mattresses or put toppers on them. They aren’t old they are just uncomfortable. i doubled my duvet over, which helped.
- Andrew (8/5): Very good -
- Anna (7/5): Good - The location was perfect. The ventilator was working in the building continuously. It was pretty noisy. I am sure it is necessary but unpleasant.
- Kieran (9/5): Superb - The social areas like pool table ect. The material of the bed sheets were weird and uncomfortable.
- Emma (7/5): Good stay, could be great if management gave staff the tools to prepare better for guests. - The staff working at reception and cleaning did an amazing job to try and correct all the mistakes and supply missing things. All of them were sociable, helpful and understanding as well as good communicators. The building is very new, lots of entertainment available (kareoke, cinema, gaming rooms as well as ping-pong, air hockey and billiard tables and nice reading corners). Our apartment was not prepared for two guests. Cutlery, cups, plates, bowls, pots and pans, everything you need for three meals a day, cooking and doing dishes was incomplete. (The staff corrected this to the best of their ability). We first had towels for one person, no toilet paper. There were also no essentials (salt, pepper, cooking oil).
Our impression was that company management decided to throw a few dozen rooms on AirBnB and Booking.com and the staff was running to keep up with everything it meant to switch from accommodating students to hospitality business.
