Balcanu (7/5): Decent accommodation in Merida - The apartment is 15 minutes walking from Parque Santa Lucia Although I did not met the owner, we could easily communicate through messages. The check in was easy, the owner has sent me the details through messages. The bed was small (1.40 wide) improvised from a wooden skeleton with two mattresses placed one on top of the other and a slat. The pillows were very uncomfortable, which is why I ended up with a stuck neck It was missing a lot of essentials such as a hairdryer, shower gel in the shower, a clap board and an iron, and a black out blind would have worked on the door to the entrance. The street on which the apartment is located is quite busy and noises from outside are very audible.
