• Jason (9/5): Comfortable family homestay with stunning views of Ella Rock - Incredible views looking out at Ella Rock. Great front porch to enjoy the view. Despite no air conditioning, the room was always cool with the pedestal fan provided The property is located steep up on the hill - if you have large wheely bags it will be challenging to reach. The hosts are an older couple who speak limited English which made communication difficult at times. Noises from the host and their pets early in the morning was disruptive

• Niclas (8/5): Schöne Unterkunft mit tollem Ausblick und guter Lage. - Der Ausblick auf der Terrasse ist super gut und die dazu gehörige kleine Wiese ist gepflegt und lädt zum kurzem in der Sonne liegen ein. Die Lage ist gut, man kann zu Fuß in wenigen Minuten über die Bahnschienen in die Stadt laufen. Das Ältere Ehepaar, das die Unterkunft führt ist nett und hilfsbereit, auch wenn die englische Kommunikation nicht immer Einwandfrei verlief. Frühstück war super und wurde zur Terrasse vor dem Zimmer gebracht. Zudem hatten wir einen Tollen Ausblick auf ein Vogelpaar, was sich dazu entschieden hat ihr Nest auf dem WLAN Router zu errichten Das Bad ist leider etwas in die Jahre gekommen und ist nicht wirklich sauber. Warmes Wasser ist sehr schwierig einzustellen.
• Jeroen (9/5): Wat een uitzicht! - Prachtige locatie met een prachtig uitzicht. Op loopafstand van restaurants en barretjes in centrum van Ella. Lieve eigenaar met een heerlijk ontbijt elke ochtend.
• Selma (10/5): Alojamienti agradable con vistas increíbles - Las vistas son espectaculares, se ve la cascada des de la habitación además de todo tipo de aves. Además creo que es perfecto para familias o pequeños grupos que necesiten dos habitaciones, ya que son dos juntas y es genial para compartir el jardín ya que se está muy bien. Además los dueños viven al lado y son muy agradables. Nos prepararon un desayuno delicioso. Lo unico malo es que cuesta mucho que salga agua caliente y es complicado de regular. Tambien hay que saber que hay que subir bastante para llegar allí, por lo que no lo recomendaría para quien vaya con maletas grandes.

• Martin (9/5): Herrliche Aussicht! - Das nette ältere Paar vermietet zwei Bungalows. Diese liegen direkt nebeneinander, sind aber jeweils gut gegen neugierige Blicke geschützt. Die Bungalows haben ein großes Zimmer mit einem großen Bett und ein großes Bad. Die Terrassen der Bungalows bieten einen herrlichen Blick auf die wunderschöne Landschaft. Von der einen sieht man direkt auf einen Wasserfall. Morgens brachte uns die nette, sehr zurück haltende Vermieterin das Frühstück auf unsere Terrasse, mit dem wir sehr zufrieden waren.
• Madeleine PRINCE (9/5): Très bon rapport qualité/prix pour un site inégalable. - Gentillesse du couple assez âgé qui gère l'établissement de leur fils (si nous avons bien compris). Petit déjeuner continental très copieux (toast, beurre, confiture, oeuf, fruits, jus de fruits, crèpes fourrés...et dahl). Notre taxi a pu se garer en haut, très proche du logement. Faible distance sur chemin empierré pour découvrir le site fabuleux, vue grandiose. Nous espérons que le tourisme restera respectueux des locaux qui sont toujours accueillants, prêts à aider, attentionné à nos besoins. Un restaurant de proximité juste en dessous de l'hébergement, à 2 mn à pied, malheureusement fermé le soir où nous avons voulu y dîner. Il faut informer la cuisinière vers 18 h le jour même.

• Grinninger (10/5): Süßes Bungalow mit super Aussicht - Der Atemberaubende Ausblick von der Terrasse und das leckere Frühstück. Ein echter Geheimtipp! Wir waren begeistert:) Auch die gute Lage hat uns sehr gefallen. Zu Fuß ist man über die Gleise in 8 Minuten in Ella Mit dem Auto kommt man nicht ganz bis zur Unterkunft. Für uns kein Problem aber man sollte es wissen :)
• Uladzislau (9/5): Чистый и уютный номер с потрясающими видами - Прекрасное место, завтраки были вкусные, чистый и уютный номер, а виды, виды просто обалденные. Недалеко от отеля мы видели обезьян, а белки и вовсе завтракали с нами. От центра города минут 15 пешком. Идти нужно через чайные плантации, возможно не очень удобно все время пешком то подниматься, то спускаться в горку, но нам это не мешало. Пребывание в этом месте превысило наши ожидания, поэтому мы остались очень довольны Плохая звукоизоляция, было слышно собак, которые живут на территории и соседей. Также не очень удобный заезд, мы ставили машину недалеко от места и далее поднимались пешком на крутую горку

• Sofía (5/5): Tranquilo pero no tanto. - Las vistas y la terraza. En primer lugar las sábanas estaban muy sucias, con marcas y pelos, se lo comentamos al encargado y nos dio otras para que cambiásemos nosotros la cama. Dentro del baño nos encontramos varias avispas, y no paraban de entrar ya que la ventana, a pesar de tener una telilla, no se podía cerrar. Ambas noches que nos quedamos tuvimos que madrugar un poco, le dijimos a ver si nos podía dar algo para desayunar y nos dijo que no, ninguno de los dos días desayunamos en el alojamiento porque no nos daban otra solución. Se escucha mucho el ruido exterior, tienen unos perros y ambas noches no paraban de ladrar por lo que no descansamos bien. Al madrugar para hacer actividades y al ser de noche todavía, está toda la calle oscura y no se ve nada así que recomendaría llevar unas linternas.

• Katharina (10/5): - Eine meiner Lieblingsunterkünfte auf unserer Sri Lanka Reise mit super Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Besonders toll fanden wir die Lage, da man einen fantastischen Weitblick hat und trotzdem sehr schnell in der Stadt ist. Lauft unbedingt die Gleise stadtauswärts entlang Richtung Ella Rock - hier kommen wirklich tolle Restaurants abseits des Touristen-Trubels. Das Frühstück in der Unterkunft war auch sehr lecker! Wir können die Unterkunft wärmstens empfehlen.

• Dave (10/5): - Echt een prachtige locatie met ontzettend mooi uitzicht. Ondanks dat het een klein stukje de berg op lopen is, zit het hotel dichtbij het centrum van ella. De kamer is fijn en het bed erg lekker. De badkamer is ook goed. Het ontbijt is lekker en de hosts zijn aardig.

• MarcoBenedetto (7/5): Ottimo panorma, che è il punto forte - La camera è essenziale, ma confortevole. Le pareti del bagno sono pistrellate ma non il pavimento. La doccia è calda, ma la pressione dell'acqua è bassa. Il posto è incantevole per la vista panoramica che si ha fuori dalla porta e nel terrazzo dove si fa colazione. La colazione e ottima e abbondante. Le 2 persone che lo gestiscono sono gentili ma difficile la comunicazione. Per raggioungere la città bisogna scendere gli scalini e la salita, raggiungere i binari del treno e camminare lungo la ferrovia (cosa possibile vista la bassa velocità dei treni). In 15 minuti si è in città. Molto difficile da raggiungere, se non atraverso una strada strettissima, poi una salita non percorribile con il TUK TUK e in fine alcuni scalini. Non raggiungibile se si hanno dei problemi motori o anche solo difficolta non necessariamente disabilità Il sito indica presenza del Bidet ma non c'è. Accettano solo pagamenti in Rupie mentre il sito indica anche USD

• Angela (7/5): OK - Camera nel complesso pulita. Non si trova l’acqua meglio comprarla in città ad Ella e portarla in camera. Seguendo la ferrovia si arriva velocemente in centro ed in stazione 10 minuti a piedi. Lasciandosi alle spalle la camera, c’è una scorciatoia sulla destra mentre si scende la strada per raggiungere i binari. Nota positiva: colazione al sacco alle 5:30 visto che partivamo alle 6:30 con il treno. Nel complesso ok per una notte. La struttura si trova in cima ad una salita ripida, non raggiungibile con i mezzi ma soltanto a piedi. Attenzione a chi viaggia con zaini pesanti. I proprietari parlano pochissimo inglese, l’essenziale. Pagamento solo in rupie locali, no carte. Il wi-fi non funziona. Durante la sera è saltata la luce diverse volte. In bagno c è solo una piccola saponetta. Eravamo arrivate in tarda mattinata e c è stato esplicitamente detto di tornare alle 15, non è possibile in nessun modo fare check in prima.

• CHRISTOS (9/5): Incredible view, vfm - Incredible room view, clean room, nice stuff, nice breakfast No shoap, the location is a bit difficult to find, as others say the next day we found a shortcut over the railway. You walk on the rails and in under 10 minutes you can reach the city centre. Avoid if you have too many luggage.
• Michael (8/5): An Lovely Stay - The view from the property is exceptional. We had a warm welcome and the owner wanted us to have an enjoyable stay. The breakfasts were generous and delicious. We loved the property and location being so near to the railway line for quick access to town and the various sites of interest. Getting to the property if you have lots of luggage is not easy. Our driver could not get down the access road but we found it a relatively short walk and only had one case plus our day sacks. There was no kettle facility but tea and coffee are provided at breakfast.

• Axel BURGUN (9/5): - Les hôtes sont très souriants et serviables. La vue du homestay est incroyable et le fait d'être sur les hauteurs d'Ella est appréciable pour s'eloigner du bruit. En 10 minutes vous êtes sur la rue principale. Il ne faut pas avoir peur des montées parce que ça grimpe quand même bien pour y accéder. Le logement est confortable et il fait largement l'affaire pour quelques jours à Ella.

Molt difícil accés i mal indicat. No es pot arribar a l'hotel amb vehicle. El w.c tenia algunes mancances: l'aigua calenta fallava i era complicat dutxar-se sense mullar-ho tot.

• Lucas (10/5): Parfait à tout point de vue - Le logement est idéalement placé, à moins de dix minutes à pieds de la rue principale en passant par le chemin de fer. La vue depuis la chambre est absolument superbe. Le petit déjeuner et délicieux et l’accueil remarquable.

Breakfast was amazing each morning and the room had everything we needed :) The location is close to town (you can walk there on the train track) but the accomodation itself is up a steep driveway and some stairs so something to be mindful of if you have mobility issues

• MartaJimenez90 (8/5): vistas espectaculares a cascada - La vista es espectacular, literal la cabaña daba a las vistas de una cascada preciosa. te llevaban el desayuno puntual a la terraza de tu habitación. La cama fue muy cómoda y el agua caliente funcionó perfectamente. A tener en cuenta que está un poco alejado del centro, a unos 15 min caminando todo cuesta arriba. en nuestra opinión valió la pena por las vistas pero acceso un poco difícil

Neon Sky Nest is set in a beautiful location overlooking magnificent views - we loved relaxing on our balcony and looking out across the mountains. Great location (5-10 minute walk to town along the railway tracks) and very easy to access hikes to Ella Rock, Nine Arch Bridge and Little Adam’s Peak. Our host family were so welcoming and provided a delicious and huge Sri Lankan breakfast every morning. The room itself was great, very spacious and clean with hot and cold water for showers depending on outside temperatures. Would definitely recommend to friends and family, fantastic value for money too! Nothing

• Carmen (7/5): Alojamiento con vistas espectaculares pero falta un poco de limpieza - Las vistas eran espectaculares. El desayuno estaba muy bueno también. La habitación tenía un buen tamaño. Está un poco apartado de Ella, el acceso está muy empinado para llegar. Olía mucho a humedad la habitación y el baño estaba muy sucio, nos duchamos con chanclas las dos noches.

• Elo.Gnassi (10/5): Best Stay in Sri Lanka – We Didn't Want to Leave! - Neon Sky Nest was by far the best place we stayed at in Sri Lanka. The room was incredibly spacious, spotlessly clean, and had all the comforts we needed. The bathroom was also large and very clean. We especially loved the generous breakfast served on the terrace right in front of our room—it was a perfect start to the day. At night, the area was peaceful and quiet, with only the sound of a waterfall coming from the mountain in front of us. A truly spectacular experience in an unforgettable setting. We only wish we could have stayed much longer—it was hard to leave such a beautiful place! The road to reach the property isn’t the best—it’s a bit tricky by car. We ended up parking a little further down and walking the last few minutes on foot. While the access isn’t the most convenient, the stunning view and the incredible location more than make up for it.
• Katharina (10/5): Unschlagbare Lage - Beste Lage! Wunderbar ruhig gelegen mit Blick auf Wasserfall und trotzdem ist man in ca 5 Minuten in Ella, es gibt eine Abkürzung. Das Zimmer ist wunderschön mit Terasse und großem bequemen Bett. Bad ist groß, es gibt leider ein klein wenig Schimmel, aber das hat mich nicht gestört bei 2 Nächten Aufenthalt. Direkt unterhalb gibt es ein Restaurant mit superlieben Besitzern und toller günstiger sri lankischer Hausmannskost Nichts

• Hartmut (9/5): Fantastischer Blick mit sehr netten Gastgebern. - Die Unterkunft hat eine fantastische Lage. Man blickt auf den Little Adam‘s Peak, den Ella Rock und den Wasserfall - schon beim Frühstück. Ella ist in Laufweite und trotzdem ist die Lage ruhig. Die Gastgeber sind sehr nett. Das Frühstück ist super. Wir haben dort super geschlafen. -

The hosts are an old couple, you will be contacted by someone who speaks english on whatsapp and you can always message them with anything you need (we only needed wifi password). Very flexible with check-in times. Nice breakfast is included! If other guests in the other room are loud, you can hear it. Dogs barking, but that’s everywhere in sri lanka. Location is great for the views! If you come by car you might have to stop on the main road and walk down and up. On foot, there’s a convenient set of steps that takes you to the rails and you can walk along them into the village
• Martyna (10/5): Nocleg z niesamowitym widokiem i pysznym śniadaniem. - Piękne miejsce z niesamowitym widokiem! Duże i przepyszne śniadania. Ciepła woda pod prysznicem. Pokój czysty i zadbany. Świetne miejsce, do odpoczynku i ciszy, a jednocześnie blisko miasta (5-10min pieszo). Właściciel pomocny i komunikatywny (pomógł nam z organizacją tuktuka, jak i dojazdem do kolejnego noclegu). Bardzo polecamy nocleg. Lokalizacja niedostosowana dla osób z ograniczoną mobilnością (jednak wiedzieliśmy o tym wcześniej co nie stanowiło problemu).

• Guillotin (9/5): Vue à couper le souffle - La vue de l'hôtel est incroyable !!! Notre plus belle vue du Sri Lanka, sur le Ella's Rock qui nous hypnotise. L'hotel est donc sur les hauteurs avec quelques côtes mais vraiment à 5-10mn du centre ville d'Ella, en dehors du brouhaha de l'artère principale. Parfait pour un séjour au calme! Le petit dej est copieux et très bon! On recommande !!! La chambre de manière générale mais surtout la salle de bain n'était pas d'une hygiène clinique..Malgré tout, hygiène convenable.
• Alena (10/5): - Obrovská postel, pohodlná, nádherný výhled na Ella rock s úchvatnými východy slunce přímo z terasy. Nemusíte chodit nikam daleko natož na Ella rock :-) Je to dál od rušného velmi turistického města, což jsme přesně chtěli. Snídaně chutná, ale podává se poměrně pozdě (8-9), byli jsme zvyklí na dříve. Velmi milý a ochotný majitel, prostorný pokoj i koupelna, předzahrádka, kde se podává snídaně přímo u vašeho pokoje. Přecijen bych vykácela uschlý strom a zkrátila keř, který lehce brání ve výhledu do dáli ;)
• Leonie (9/5): Schön gelegen Unterkunft mit freundlichen Gastgeber - Die Unterkunft ist wunderschön in den Bergen gelegen mit direktem Blick auf einen Wasserfall. Dank einer Abkürzung über die Schienen befindet man sich auch schnell im Zentrum von Ella. Das Zimmer ist sauber und gut ausgestattet. Der Gastgeber ist sehr freundlich und hilft bei jedem Problem weiter. Das sehr leckere Frühstück kann man mit einem tollen Ausblick genießen. Das Badezimmer ist soweit sauber, könnte jedoch mal einen neuen Schliff gebrauchen.

• Ainhoa (10/5): Excelente - Unas vistas excelentes, tranquilidad pero a la vez a 10 minutos andando al centro de Ella. Una familia encantadora. Todo limpio y en orden. El desayuno tambien excelente. Nada, estuvimos muy agusto.
